I have $30.52 to throw around atm, and I cant decide if I should buy this or not. http://store.apple.com/us_smb_78313/product/MA591G/C/apple-30-pin-to-usb-cable# The cord that came with my phone is all torn up. It will still charge my phone, but won't connect to my computer. My mom gave me one of hers that came with her iPod a few years ago, and that one works on everything. The problem is that hers is shaped differently than mine, which really bugs me, and it's not in great condition either. I refuse to buy a 3rd party cord, it must be Apple and it must be like the one I got originally. The problem is that their cord is ridiculously expensive. So, should I buy this or not? Or do you think I should get over it and not waste the money?
All I wanted to do was go see Iron Man 3 at 1:00, the last matinee, but that didn't work so I went at 3. When I got there they were sold out so now we have to go at 9:45. ****ing 9:45. I won't even got home till after midnight. Now, my friend who doesn't even like Iron Man sent me a message saying Spoiler that people said it sucked. why would you tell me this BEFORE I've seen the movie? I don't want to go in with preconceptions about the movie due to people reacting negatively. I don't care about other peoples opinion, but now when I see it my view of it is going to be tainted with the thought of either agreeing that it's bad, or trying to justify how something is not bad. The whole initial experience is pretty much ruined. I can still watch it and enjoy it, but the experience will not be the same. I wouldn't have cared if he told me that after I've seen the movie, but not before. Is that too much to ask? Is it too much to ask to just go see a movie without everything going wrong? I don't think it is, but this is just typical of my life, I should have seen this coming. My guess is that when I actually go to it I'll probably be late, miss the first minute (I hate that), get the shittiest seats in the whole theater, and sit next to some dumb kid that reeks of popcorn and won't stop talking. I hate everything.
one time i made a thread. the thread was about nothing. the end.
and not a single person wants to see Iron Man 3 with me. Oh well, I wouldn't mind waiting to see a matinee. $7 tickets > $10 tickets any day. maybe sometime this weekend I'll go. Worse comes to worst I'll go by myself.
is there some joke I don't know about? either way they're dumb and I don't like them.
Spoiler View attachment 35923 I hadn't planned to post this till I was done, but I decided that before I go any further I would like some input. What should I add? Obviously this isn't finished, I plan to do something with the background, as well as make it look less smooth, but I'm not 100% sure what. I have some ideas, but nothing I want to do just yet. I lifted this from a still from The Batman vs. Dracula, traced it, changed it a little, and expanded it. i was bored View attachment 35924
I'm going to pass an executive order that requires all blu-rays to have a slipcover and be packaged with a dvd and digital copy. Nothing saddens me more than a flimsy, naked blu-ray. No blu-ray sold retail or otherwise will be permitted to be naked and flimsy. We will re-issue any blu-rays that were not sold with a slipcover and a dvd and digital copy, we will provide slipcovers for all blu-rays, and we will provide replacements for any that become damaged. The same goes for the dvd and digital copy insert that comes packaged with blu-rays. My administration wants you to feel like you got your moneys worth out of your purchase, we want you to be proud of your blu-ray collection, not sad because some have slipcovers and dvd's and digital copies and some don't. LONG LIVE CAPITALISM! LONG LIVE AMERICA!
does a thread like this exist here? i didn't see one. The DC Animated Universe, some of the best animated series to have ever graced American television, and now some of most okay direct-to-video movies I've ever seen. Anyway, just discuss. What shows/movies do you like in this pseudo-continuity? Which ones have you seen? etc. Here's a list of the works in case you're not familiar (I'm going by memory here) Television Batman: The Animated Series (The New Batman Adventures) Superman: The Animated Series Batman Beyond The Zeta Project Static Shock Justice league (Justice League Unlimited) Film Superman: Doomsday Justice League: The New Frontier Batman: Gotham Knight Wonder Woman Green Lantern: First Flight Superman/Batman: Public Enemies Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths Batman: Under the Red Hood Superman/Batman: Apocalypse All-Star Superman Green Lantern: Emerald Knights Batman: Year One Justice League: Doom Superman vs The Elite The Dark Knight Returns Part 1 The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 Superman: Unbound Now, the majority of the films are not nearly as solid as the old shows were, which is understandable I suppose, but they are still entertaining for the most part. I watched Batman: Year One earlier this evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. My biggest complaint is that the voice actor for Bruce/Batman was one of the worst voice actors I've ever heard, which seems to be a recurring problem in the film part of this. This is a shame because the old televisions series had some of the best voice acting choices I've ever heard, and those were headed by voice director Andrea Romano as well. I haven't seen all of the films, or television series for that matter, but I do plan on watching all of the films (and the television series that I care about) and so far it really seems to be hit or miss. The Frank Miller adaptions stand out as being the best of the films imo. Justice League is one of my favorite animated series of all time. I haven't seen all of Batman TAS and Superman TAS yet, so we'll see if that statement still holds afterwards. My favorite of the films is probably Batman: Year One from what I've seen so far, which is most of them.
never gives me a break.
im bored waiting so ill tell you a story to pass the time. Some dumb kid in 9th got mad and decided to hit a window. He's now in the hospital for cutting an artery. I wasn't around when it happened, and I don't know the guy, but they had to hold 1st block for 40 minutes to clean all the blood and glass.
light a match in front of me. that's right, a match. light it. i'll melt inside and be yours eternally. there's something about a match being lit that I find incredibly sexy. from the flick of the wrist to the burst of flame surrounded by smoke and everything in between. what you do with the match is not so important, but if you light a 'febreze hawaiian aloha' candle, oh god i'll lose it.
I started drivers ed to get my license. It. was. terrible. The instructor is so intimidating, and he's the type of guy who's obnoxiously big SUV or truck means the world to him (i.e. some big dumb spiky-haired jerk in his late 30's), so it's not exactly someone I feel comfortable driving with. as if doing this didn't have me on the edge of my seat already. Not to mention the other kid in the car driving is about 2 years younger than me, so it's weird being in 12th doing this at the same time as someone who's in 10th. Not that there's anything wrong with that per se, but it's just weird. but yeah, I don't know how long I have to do this. Hopefully not long because this sucks, though at least there is a license waiting for me at the end of it.
is not khv's strong suit. so many freaking Oswalds.
The allergies, the pollen, the sore throat, the medicines, it's all just too much. I can't take it.
Today my phone started doing this thing where it doesn't give me service. ("Searching..." ... "No Service") I haven't had this problem in the year and a half that I've had it. It started after I was changing the setting for something. I went back to what I thought could have been the source of the problem, but no luck, it's still there. Anyway, All indicators are pointing to restoring or updating the iOS, two things I have been avoiding like the plague. I just wanted to see if anybody else here had any ideas before I take the plunge. - thanks
you know that feeling you get when you've just finished a really good show and you're sad because it's over? yeah, that x100 right now. So I just finished watching Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, easily one of my favorite shows. I just finished the last episode of season two in Unlimited, and I have to say, season two was terrible. I've seen all of the show before when I was younger and it was on television, but it's been so long since I've seen it, and seeing it again is like seeing it for the first time. As I said, Unlimited season 2 was terrible, it pales in comparison to how awesome Unlimited season 1 was, which, by the way, is one of the best seasons I've ever seen in anything. It's easily the best seasons out of the entire show, and rivals what Young Justice did, if not surpasses it. Though, season 2 isn't so bad that I wouldn't call Justice League one of my favorite shows, even though the last episode was probably one of the worst episodes in the entire show. Still, to be completely honest, one of the reasons season 2 of Unlimited didn't do much for me was because it ignored the whole Batman and Wonder Woman relationship thing which season 1 was really not holding back on. I'm not generally a fan of relationships, but as I said in a previous thread I went crazy for this. I also like Green Arrow and Black Canary relationship, which I think each only played a major role in only one episode of season two, and they weren't in the same episode, so that got ignored as well. I also just recently finished 100%ing Re:CoM a few days ago, that puts me at 5 games down, 5 (or 6) games to go. It was painfully long to grind for max levels for both characters plus a completed journal for Sora, so I figure now is a good time to take a break before I head into the bulk of what's left (and before I burn out), and this seems like a perfect time finish watching Gundam, especially since I just finished Justice League, and I figure when I'm done with Gundam I'll watch a couple other short animes before heading back into KH. Those would be Neon Genesis Evangelion (something I've been planning to watch for so long), and Tiger & Bunny. So yeah, long op short, just finished a great show, really sad, time to watch more.
fight me. please let this be the last of these 'online' threads.
kinda
admittedly, I went batshit crazy for this ship in Unlimited.
