Finished Batman: Arkham Origins. At least the main story stuff. It's not as bad a game as I originally thought when I had uninstalled it, but I do think it's very outstretched and too long for its own good. It's got some of the series best boss fights...which is honestly not saying anything outside of Mr. Freeze in City being the best Batman boss fight ever. The story is completely predictable, but again, it's not like its counterparts are anything to rave about. The gameplay is mostly there, but I had way too many issue with the rappel...I don't know how many times I was frustrated trying to find a grappling point and getting nothing. Also, some really bad camera angles and animations that REALLY NEED INVINCIBILITY FRAMES like the Bane fights. But the art style is the most interesting thing to me. Some things I did like, such as Killer Croc's design and the general colors and winter aesthetic, but others I didn't like including Bruce Wayne's freakishly proportioned head, Alfred's poorly textured face, and worst offender Barbara looking just ugly to me. Joker's aight: his animations are fun to watch if a little too much and his look is obviously not meant to be the exact same as in Asylum, but the buck teeth on his top row are kinda...eh. Overall, it's pizza, and you have to try damn hard to make shitty pizza. Asylum is still the best pizza followed by City, and we'll see how Knight stacks. Now I'm going back in to finish Arkham Knight. Some really neat story stuff is actually happening.
I'm perfectly fine with Olivia Munn, and I liked the film plenty...
I'm not sure why you feel that way. It's their life and their money, not mine. If I were to go professional or whatever, I'd probably spend that much on a costume eventually if not more, but I'm good where I'm at now. And if someone else spends $200 on a wig and makes something that makes them feel good, more power to them. Try it out. The best feeling is being recognized by someone and them wanting to take a picture with you, because otherwise? Nobody really wants a picture with me save the closest friends and family. I mean, the panel still happened. It was just briefer than planned. His acoustic performance later that day was fantastic though. Makes me kinda want to buy his music, though I'll probably give it more listens first.
Just saw X-Men: Apocalypse. Psylocke movie when? (probably never but I can dream)
The Roy one I bought from a friend at a pretty good discount and the Greed Ling one I threw together myself by buying a trench coat, using my dress slacks and shoes, and borrowing a friend's black shirt (with my friend's help styling the wig.) Eyeballed the Homunculus mark with Ben Nye. Thanks tho for the kind words Y'know, I was sad to see zero 1980's Ocelots at the con (though my friend said he saw one) but his panel was already late so it was shortened a lot. He said he understands what it's like to wait in line for hours to meet someone you hold in high regard so he actually likes to spend a bit more time than just snapping quick pictures with fans. That and I have no clue why the convention staff planned his panel so close after his signing and photos. They really seemed to misunderstand how popular Troy is to a lot of nerds.
...
YouTube really killed a lot of this video's quality sadly. Gonna watch it again because I just realized the download link is right here...
Pretty sure he's played it.
Continued where I left off for a bit in Arkham Origins. The combat and detective stuff is good and all (though I swear the counters in combat are only working 80% of the time), but I still find the level design bad, with Gotham just being WAY too big for what amounts to a lot of samey, uninteresting environments (though I do like the snowy aesthetic), and other design choices that I'm not a fan of like how confusing Fast Travel was to figure out for a few minutes and some UI stuff. Also, I know that Roger Craig Smith ain't Kevin Conroy and all, but his delivery as Batman is just so monotone.
It's around Chapter 10 that the game gets really engaging (I think so.) More cutscenes, far better boss fights, less grindy missions, less revisiting the same areas, etc. One annoying thing is how many of the Mega Digimon are stuck behind end-game missions even if you have all the other requirements to Digivolve into them.
I definitely recommend it. Just know that it's kinda samey for the first like, third of the game, and the budget is definitely lower than your Pokemon games until that point (a lot less voice acting than I expected too)
Pretty sure the story missions are considered an end goal. They are for me at least.
Spoiler: Some of my favorite shots of my cosplays at Phoenix Comicon 2016 (as Roy Mustang and Greed/Ling) Spoiler: And here's my picture with Troy Baker (me being his character from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
New trailer released, and the game's release is pushed to February of 2017.
So I met Troy Baker and saw his acoustic performance at Phoenix Comicon. That was real neato.
Fine, I'm still annoyed. I didn't want one more Konami series I love to be treated like this and I'm just venting and probably getting shit wrong but whatever
G ain't even my favorite.
It's more the fact of "The FOX Engine is fantastic! Let's use it to make nonplayable shit to watch while gambling instead of letting anyone use it for a worthwhile game!"
Spoiler Why are we still here? Just to suffer?
I'm on PC if anyone care
