Alas, even with E3 long over, more interviews are popping up everywhere. This video is no exception as RPGSite.net got their chance with Tai Yasue about features, gameplay and future plans. Unfortunately no new information has been released, but if you haven't been keeping up with recent interviews, feel free to give it a read. The North American and European Guidebook for KH3D have been announced. You can order them online at Amazon, Gamestop, and other online Retailers. Bradygames will have the books release July 12th for Europe and July 31st for North America.
We've seen a lot of Yasue this year explaining the concepts, changes and other promotional features of Dream, Drop, Distance. This interview is no different, as a Square Enix member had some time to get more input from the Co-Director. The list itself is the Top 100 video games of all time. Though not at the very top, it still manages to solidify itself as a groundbreaking achievement. Tetsuya stated; "Set in a circus and playing off the story of Pinocchio, a puppet with a heart, and the Nobodies who possess no heart, we planned for a sad episode with Roxas and Xion looking for hope for themselves." Nintendo has confirmed the release of Kingdom hearts 3D as well as other 3rd party titles for digital release in the E-shop. While no release date has been confirmed, this allows players to buy the digital download instead of the cartridge. Other games planned to be coming soon to E-shop include Epic Mickey 2, Castlevania, and others listed below. The European site of Kingdom Hearts: Dream, Drop, Distance has been redesigned and now resembles the NA site with the small exception to posting a few new screenshots.
Jason Schreier of Kotaku.com revealed that from a conversation with Tai Yasue, that the Director was interested in Creating a Pixar themed world. Interesting Fact, Buzz and Woody were planned to be summons in Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix. Their 3d Models appeared in the game's coding but never made it to the final product. Any film in particular you would like to see added to the series?
Last day at E3, The folks over at RPGamerdotcom got to try out the game demo at E3 and recorded the gameplay with HD Audio and visual. Second Day for Kingdom Hearts at E3, and while nothing really new has been shown since yesterday, IGN has posted their interview with Co-Director of the Series; Tai Yasue. (Giving Raio Mitsuno a break I guess) [video=youtube;YNWirAoMkX4]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNWirAoMkX4[/video] KH3D was also shown at the 3DS Software Showcase which confirmed that the Demo will released to the E-Shop Soon. Silconera spoke with Yasue as well, who confirmed that there will be a helpful change in the NA version compared to the Japan release. In the Japanese version, when you "Dropped" in the middle of a Boss fight and dropped back, the Boss's health is refilled, but yours isn't. Yasue stated that the NA version would be changed so the player's health is replenished as well.
Today, E3 showed much hype for Square Enix as it celebrated both the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy as well as the 10th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts. About a month ago, I began work on a 4 part Story and have plotted out that story from start to finish. It is mainly inspired by early Playstation RPGs that took up 4 discs. Before writing each chapter, I have characters who need identities. Their fates are already decided, all they need are a few details from you. These characters may be major or minor, good or evil, traitorous and perhaps even killed off after 1 minute of introduction. Square Europe has posted on it's blog with The E3 Trailer from Kingdom Hearts: Dream, Drop, Distance.
