Did you guys know that Mako is named after the guy who did the old man's voice acting in the original avatar? (old man that hangs with Zuko) He died, so I guess this is (another) a way of honoring him. By naming one of the characters after him. In this new one, everything feels meh, you know? It's more quiet and serious, while the original is all hyped up. But eh, both are good in their own way.
