You're making it sound like there would be a great deal of people would do this, when statistically speaking gun ownership restrictions has caused less gun crime and less gun carrying criminals. You wouldn't need to combat guns if they weren't so easily available for criminals to get their hands on.

This is wrong. Almost every martial art has now developed techniques to combat fire arms at point blank range. Most criminals when using a weapon to commit a crime use the weapon up close and in easy range for a martial artist to take down said individual. The type of crime where a gun is used to kill from afar is mainly murder and, to be honest, you'd be killed by said firearm before you even have the chance to use yours. The gun gives users the imagination that they are somehow invincible when in realty they are putting themselves in more danger by attempting to fire back at their assailant when they should simply flee.

When have basic civilians in America ever been raided or assaulted enough to need machine guns? That's never happened. Never would happen. Gang-on-gang warfare is where those assault rifles are being used, and not for defence but to kill and murder. The only time i've ever heard assault rifles being used by civillians is by gang members and gun nut serial killers. Do you know how many bystanders are killed by stray bullets from guns? And you want more people firig more bullets in their own streets? Just because it might mean you kill someone before they kill you? or either of you could kill your family, friends, neighbours simply because a bullet you used ricocheted into them?

A less dangerous, bloody and violent even field would be banning all guns. Your equality of field sounds more like a war zone. You promote that your own country should behave more like a warzone where people defend their homes from potential attackers using carbines and shotguns? You're actig like there isn't a government that is serving to protect you by that point, like there is no police service. Like everyone is in a personal anarchic state of their own choosing. You're just living in fear by that point, worryig that everyone and anyone has a gun and will use it.
What? Where do you live? are you gettin your ideas from the Somalia military? How barabaric and old are these ideas to execute someone like that?
You'd kill someone over some shiny jewellery and a TV? That just sounds more criminal than robbery to me.

There is so much wrong with this I don't even believe.... Alright this is off topic but i have to address. You give a civillian a gun in a warzone, that's bad on for so many reasons I could list, bu the maknt thin is you're making them a target to the enemy. You're foricbly conscripting people to be part of some rag tag in experienced militia. Your causing more of your own people to die. You're not saving lives. You're forgettig you have a military, which I may add is the largest, most costly military force in the world. America spends five times the amount of China, and more then the top 14 countries of military spending combined combined. You spend 11 times more then the UK! it's the biggest waste of money if its civillains don't even believe that it can protect them and have to by guns to protect them from foreign invaders...

If i think about it, if America was ever invaded by land (which stratergically is near madness) the orders from the enemy would likely be to kill any American civillains as they moved inland, because so many Americans own guns the invading army sees them as a threat. Unarmed civilians are only killed by the most brutish and barabaric enemies. Even wars have mutually agreed laws. Even wars should have some sliver of humanity and compassion in them, and care about the peopl'es lives your destroying.

What use does an assault rifle have but in the military?! There is no practical way to use a gun. The only thing a gun does is kill, is murder. No matter how you look at it, you're killing someone. It can't defend against bullets or heal wounds, it only kills. That's why people have them. So why should any average idiot joe have access to them?
There is a chance for anything to happen. There is a chance you could get your hands on Sarin poison. Does that mean everyone should have the chance to get it just because there is a slim chance?

This isn't true either, I might add. There is already a black market for illegal firearms in the US. First, the most obvious, is the grades of firearms that are illegal, such as grenades, grenade launchers, etc. Gangs especially try to get their hands on higher grade weaponry. Not to mention a few of the people who seem to like collecting weapons in case of doomsday or whatever their excuses are for ownig an RPG. There is a demand for that already, and a black market as such.
Second,it's illegal for military designated firearms to be sold to the public. For example, the M4 rifle, but the public already has access to a civillian model of the M4 rifle. This what most gun fans would illegally buy, they love their guns that they wanna feel like the military, they want the high powered killing guns to fill some child fantasy of being military badasses. This is the most prevalent form of illegal black market buying, and it's because they are mainly bought buy criminals who can't own a gun legally anyway or want an edge over the the police.

Don't fool yourself, there will always be a black market for guns, more so in America because of the fascination of guns and the gun culture.

I've already explained and addressed why a black market for banned guns wouldn't be more succesful or even change all that much anyway in my previous post.

You're comparing guns and drugs too much, they are completely different forms of crime.
First, you mentioned the prohibition not stopping alcohol consumption. This is true. But the reason people broke this law was not because of simply breaking the law, but because of the effects of the alcohol. It is an addictive substance, something that someone comes to rely on to feel 'good' or better, and will continuously take it try and achieve this. Alcohol is a non-durable good, this means that once you've used it, you can't use the same one again, a bottle of alcohol will empty eventually and you can't keep drinking the same bottle. So you have to buy another bottle, and another and another, that's the reason alcohol is in such high demand, because yu have to buy more. It's why bootlegging was so popular during the Great Depression in America, with the huge rates of unemployment and severely low happiness caused many to turn to drink in order to feel better.
Guns are not addictive (apart from a few societal demographics that don't follow this trend), on the whole people don't rely on guns to make themselves feel good or better about themselves, that the act of buying them will some how bring on a buzz that will mean they keep having to buy them over and over. Guns are durable goods, you buy it and you can keep using it multiple times over and over. You don't need to buy a new gun each time you fire a shot from it. So why would someone need to keep buying illegal guns? The only gun running still supplied by organised crime syndicates is directed towards other crime syndicates looking to buy guns. Gun runners don't sell to the public because there is no great profit there, they look for groups who will buy them, namely organised crime. So even if they were to sell to the public if guns were legalised there would be no profit, no reason for them to do it.

Secondly, you compare home made drugs to home made guns. Now, you're comparing engineering to chemistry here, we're talking about a set of skills completely different from one another.
Drugs are relatively easier to make, all you need is the right equipment and chemicals to make them. Marihuana is grown through plants, a really easy and cheap way to make drugs. Cocaine is also fairly easy and cheap to make, you need equipment bought from online science supplies and chemicals that can likely be bought from specialised chemical suppliers, with easy enough loopholes to get around if you're smart enough.
Guns on the other hand are far more difficult to make. I have a friend studying for an engineering degree, and he has built numerous contraptions before that and he said with his knowledge he could likely make a gun in a number of ways. He could outfit a toy gun with real bullets, but it would only be good for maybe half a dozen shots before destroying itself, not to mention the likelihood of backfiring plastic towards the user. The only proper gun he could make would be at best a single shot with materials he could get his hands on, but it would cost in the range of £200+ whilst a military grade home made gun would be near impossible to make since it requires expensive equipment and high grade materials he just doesn't have. He said that honestly the guns built at home wouldn't be dangerous enough to cause more then a few fatalities, ones bought online or in shops would be much better for killing and way more dangerous.

Drugs are addictive, always need to be replenished, dangerous only to the user's health and relatively easy to make. That's why we can't fight it easily.
Guns aren't addictive, you only would ever need one, dangerous to the user and everyone around them and are difficult to make. This can be fought against. We have more opportunities to fight gun crime then drug crime, especially since gun crime is much more violent and fatal.

I also can't believe your disregard for mental health people who you label as gun nuts. That's offensive and prejudice to instantly label anyone with mental health problems as liable to commit murder or harm. Not to mention extremely immoral to forcibly give drugs to people who aren't dangerous simply because they could be, on that logic everyone should be placed on some sort of sedative because we all have the capability to kill.
Your blatant disregard for human life is appalling. You're agreeing with almost every point that the NRA has said about gun crimes apart from video games causing it.

All I keep hearing is the American mindset in that it can't change so why bother?
Martin Luther King changed the world because he wanted to. If you desire change, if you act on it, America, then you can do it. Just make it happen.
