Tal had watched the rest of exam in silence. She wasn't sure if there was anything she could have said out loud anyway. Not that she really had wanted to. She was already occupied with conversation, with Ember. He was mostly mumbling in dragonspeak. She could easily drone that out even though the voice was directly in her head. It was when he started to speak half in dragonspeak and half in normalspeak that she was forced to pay attention.

"Ombrah deyor but I had hope we would suraks del menas co-"
"Ember I have no idea what you are trying to say. I don't think I know what Obrah means..."
    "No meaning."
"It has no meaning? It's a nonsense wo-?"

    "No it means no meaning."

Tal shook her head and watched Ember fly around again. Now that his presence was known, she wasn't bothering to hide him again. He flew back towards her and perched himself on her shoulder and let out a whine and she rolled her eyes,
    "Food?"

She searched through her bag for some meat he hadn't finished eating yet and brought it up to his mouth, he bit into the piece and started to devour it, leaving a mess on her shoulder but she didn't mind it too much. Especially since it was a normal occurrence anyway. When she heard the exam was over, she listened to the conversation and heard Kendic's mention of the center of town... which she assumed had something to do with going to the festival. She wasn't sure if she wanted to go but she could at least go and see if she wanted to stay.

Tal heard him mention the box and she placed her hands up to her chin in thought and then shook her head laughing,
"Maybe it was just a rock? It's probably one of those things where people keep repetitively asking themselves maybe there's more in that box than we think and it turns out to be something worthless?"

Meanwhile, at the center of town already. Jen was sitting and waiting for the parade to begin. He had nothing else in mind to see, otherwise he'd be doing that instead. He was very bored, and wished he had done something else to occupy his time with.

Jen was glowing a very soft white, something not too noticeable but it was there. He had another copy of himself prancing about. Looking for things he might need, finding something new and entertaining to suit his need for something to do. He wasn't sure if he would be very successful, so he was perfectly alright with the wait for the parade.

Jen was eating a sandwich, he was not sure what type exactly, he just made a sandwich earlier on in the day with what he had around him. He almost didn't want to know, because it wasn't very tasty. He just needed something in his system to make it until dinnertime. He looked around at some of the pedestrians around him. A lot were students where he was, but there were quite a few people who didn't look like they were even from Zenith. Most of the time people who came to the festival were the higher ups in class systems, but he was fairly certain he saw quite a few lower class people here. He assumed it was one of those once-in-a-lifetime trips people try to make. They blended in more with the students than the figureheads anyway.

Jen continued eating his sandwich looking around to see if his clone would be making appearances anytime soon.

Soldiers. She was almost disappointed by how the majority of these heartless were the same type. Either way, she still hacked and slashed at them without feeling to exhausted over the amount. Kaida swung Destiny's Embrace at three of the soldiers with heavy swings and destroyed all three of them. However she realized this tactic was going to leave her exhausted for potential heavy hitters, so she started swinging at them with not as heavy swings, but enough to do damage and destroy two more in the process.

Kaida took a moment to breath, blocking incoming slashes from the rest of the soldiers and only getting hit a couple of times. She still felt it though, there was no avoiding the pain they gave her. Kaida had paused not only to breath, but to look at the overall situation she was in. Not including the heartless she'd already defeated, there were twenty-six heartless still on the scene. They were all soldiers except one oddball shadow waltzing about. She almost didn't want to count it though, it mostly sat around doing nothing except the occasional rolling around. She figured she could just get rid of the shadow then and there, so she charged at it to get rid of it. But it rolled over onto it's back as soon as she did, rather than run off.

Kaida stopped and stared at it, and examined it to make sure nothing was wrong. She checked up on her history, and she was well aware of the fact shadows could rebel against the normal expectations... if it was a new heartless. Perhaps someone just recently lost their heart. Kaida reached towards it but the shadow jumped up and bit her, she let out a yell and swung at it with her keyblade. She missed, but the little shadow scampered away and disappeared into a portal. For whatever reason, after looking at the bite mark on her hand, she knew it's name. And looked over at where it once was in sympathy and spoke, "Be careful Paul... be careful..."

Kaida got back into a battle stance and went back on the offensive. The soldiers were now frantic because she had been ignoring them and standing around as if they weren't there. Only about seven of them were this restless though. The rest seemed to be idle until she got to them. She continued attacking until she knocked out one more soldier. She again questioned her strategy and decided to use a bit of magic. Kaida held her keyblade at the soldiers and announced out loud, "Fire!"

The blast knocked back quite a few of the soldiers and she swung again at the ones that had been attacked by the fire. She succeeded in defeating four more with this strategy, but she was exhausted yet again. This time she stopped questioning her strategy, but rather her training throughout the past few years. Or maybe it was an off day. She hoped it was just an off day. After all a lot had gone on within what she could assume was 24 hours... or maybe more. She was back in time now. But wouldn't that mean she would feel less tired? Was she losing or gaining an hour of sleep? She needed to work either way. Why was this bothering her so much it was just an hour she lost. But how many hours could she gain back this way. If she kept going back an hour a day every few hours a day, could she eventually become older? Does time travel keep her from aging?

Her rambling in her mind distracted her from the soldiers again, which proceeded to attack her without allowing her to have an internal monologue. She snapped out of it after getting hit, and she swung did a sliding dash, which allowed for her to destroy three more of the soldiers.

ugh this thread has become a whole bunch of tl;dr but I really should be reading them because generally the longer a post becomes the more open it is to flaws and such. I'm half convinced Marushi and Makaze are both town and just going back and forth and I don't see it really going anywhere.

I want to hear from more people. There are so many people that have avoided conversation and they could be adding some interesting thoughts to the discussion. I still haven't heard from @TwilightBlader and we got next to nothing from @Bite the Dust except that he's apparently had no thoughts so far. I know last game BtD wasn't very verbal either.

I'm not very fond of people who only contribute to the day once and never do anything else. It's a strategy that I've seen work for mafia more times than I'd like: let and encourage all the townies to suspect each other for petty word mistakes or "personality traits", duke it out, lynch each other, and then you start becoming more active by the end because there's not much left to fear... and by that point you look suspicious for not talking.

We've been saying since the beginning of this game we should be watching out for the quiet ones... yet here we are trying to lynch the verbal ones...

People saying "y'all" or "you all" in reference to a group does not automatically make someone the other group. That's like saying someone who's mafia that refers "in public" to the mafia as "you all" is automatically not mafia.[DOUBLEPOST=1408942599][/DOUBLEPOST]I meant to say that comment from the perspective of the town at the beginning of it, but I did not. It makes my "that's like saying..." statement look odd.

it should have been more like:
People saying "y'all" or "you all" in reference to the town does not automatically make someone a mafiosi or a 3rd party. That's like saying someone who's mafia that refers "in public" to the mafia as "you all" is automatically not mafia.

As she approached the world and readied herself to enter, Kaida began to try and focus her mind on the task at hand. She was half tempted despite being far away now to just swing right back around and go forward in time and help everyone out. However she wasn't ready to disobey orders... if they even counted as orders with all that was going on at that particular moment.

Kaida glided down to the world and when she reached ground level she summoned away her glider and walked through the streets of Disney Town. Everything seemed rather silent, and it put her on edge as she walked into what seemed to be a plaza of some sorts. She thought she heard something and took a couple steps forward only for a group of heartless to appear, surrounding Kaida.

She summoned her keyblade and commented under her breath an annoyed tone, "Can't go five minutes without something going wrong, huh Kaida?" and she charged at her unwanted opponents. From what she could gather, she was surrounded by maybe fifteen heartless at that moment. What type? She really was not paying attention. It didn't matter to her anyway, they just needed to be fought regardless of their characteristics. She hacked and slashed away at them with a face filled with impatience and determination.

I thought it said a bulletproof vest was for everyone.
So if we have one we would have been told with our role?
It's not just something that exists for everyone?

if it isn't, I feel like a ****ing idiot right now. please back away from said ****ing idiot.
