And it would still be the best filler arc ever. Speaking of filler arcs, I might try getting back into Soul-Arena. I had a pretty badass combo with Don Kanonji and Ganju.
Even better! Don Kanonji has an entire filler arc about his new tokusatsu fighting force, a continuation of that short filler where Kon and a few others became Gatchaman with Ultraman beam powers.

"Awaken, Tenrouken", he said as he released his zanpakuto in a swirl of wind from the air. The two short swords where now regular sized katana of a strange design but the blades where surrounded by a swirling wind. Getting infront of the group he slashed With both arms and a gust of razor-like winds shredded a number of the Hollows. I get the gist of this wind now, he thought to himself figuring out how to use the weather here for his sword techniques. "Shall I swing again, or would someone else enjoy to attack?", he asked with a tone of voice that sounded as if he was uninterested, which he was, since he knew his second attack would be under his complete control.
