"Tch... Nahah. No way Leo. We can't keep running. We gotta turn and fight!" Jaden slammed his fist into his side, turning his head to hide his face which was nearly unleashing tears that he wouldn't let flow. "I don't run away, and I don't quit god dammit!" His fist was clenched tighter, his knuckles white from the effort. "I'm going to find those guys... and I'm going to end this before anyone else can die." he said lowly as he began to take several paces in the other direction. "Oh what do we know? We do have a smart tool after all." Linegia snidely commented from next to Cid. "Nice speech, although be warned, I'll be watching you." she warned him, after all... she didn't trust anyone but Cid and Jenny.
"Huh? where we going so suddenly?" she asked with a confused look, despite the fact the answer should have been obvious. "You know a place... but... why do you need to go there when I can just... wait? You intend to pay?" she asked. But of course... she had never once been able to buy food, but then again, she had never needed to. This was an entirely new and foreign concept to her.
"...I guess." Alexis said somewhat sheepishly. We're expected to be siblings but we aren't? How confusing... do these guys always operate like this? How am I supposed to know where I stand among them then? "What do you want to eat?" she asked him, hiding her thoughts with the question.
Judging from the fact I posted earlier, and well... everyone knows me to not be a quitter of RPs... I'm in. Obviously. XD
Kurisu looked at his partner as she stood opposite him. "Guess I don't have a choice do I?" Gwen hopped off his shoulder not wanting to get caught between what would just be a fight between the two choosen. "God... he is so unmotivated. He's not even preparing his Aura." she sighed as she invited herself onto Allora's shoulder, hoping the fairy girl wouldn't mind. Kurisu puffed out a few more smoke rings while rolling his shoulders, he watched them rise into the air, clearly distracted. "I'll let you make the first move." he said lazily. Words flooded into his mind as he just stared up at the evaporating smoke rings. Well... I guess you don't truly know someone until you fight them. he shrugged. The moment you exchange strikes... is when you truly meet and can understand the other. Let's see then... will I be understood.
"Oh?" Lent questioned in an unreadable mutter. His face was obscured by the night's shadows around him. "But tell me. What makes you think I'll be so easy?" he asked, a slightly pissed off tone audible in his voice now. Suddenly, his hand came forwards, his palm striking the man's throat and cutting his laugh short, as well as moving him away slightly and creating a distance between the two. Lent stood tall, and placed a hand on the hilt of his sword, drawing it from his back. Then he tossed it high up into the air, and seriously, really high up. "This'll be over before my sword even hits the ground." he muttered. "And you guys will have all learnt an important lesson by then." He quickly moved to the side and rammed his foot swiftly into the gut of one of the minions. "Lesson number one: Don't mess with SOLDIER." he the spun around so he was behind the doubled over man, grabbed his arm and smashed his elbow into it, causing it to make a nasty crunch noise that clearly showed it had just been broken. "Lesson number two: Don't mess with girls and just as important, don't brag about it like you're some fucking martyr." he finally slid back round to the front and rammed the man into a nearby wall, letting him drop to the floor. He then turned to the second minion. "Lesson number three: Don't piss me off!" he ran forwards and delivered a quickly flurry of punches to the guy's gut and chest before landing a reverse round-house kick onto the guy's skull, rendering him unconscious instantly and with a likely concussion. He then quickly had jumped into the air, vanishing from sight, before leaping off the top of the nearby roof top and onto the third minion, flattening him instantly with a double footed drop kick to the face... broken nose, face and a definite concussion. He stood... "And finally... Lesson number 4: Out of all the second class SOLDIER's you could have messed with." Lent hated using them, but at the moment, he didn't care as he let his black flames surround his hand and then his body, dark smoke emanating from him and rising into the air as he turned his head to face the leader of the group. It would make the drunk guy think he was messing with a demon, and let's face it... that wouldn't make him think any higher of SOLDIER. But what did Lent care? He was going to put this guy in a medical facility for at least a month or two. "I'm the worst one." he smirked darkly as he came up to the cowering leader and hit him with an uppercut so hard with his flaming hand that the guy's jaw dislocated and shattered as he was launched into the air so high that he landed on the fooftop of the small building nearby them. The purpose of this naturally was to intimidate... and hurt. The flames receded from his body and Lent looked up thoughtfully. "I swear I'm forgetting something... Oh yeah!" and he held his arm out and caught the sword which had finally fallen back to Earth. He slung it back onto his back and looked around at the unconscious group around him. "Lesson's over. Any questions?"
Alexis looked at Mulligan during his rant for the whole time. "Not once have I ever moaned about my life on the street. So don't be so quick to judge me, Hot-head." she told him as she handed him his shotgun back. "But since you said 'Please' I don't mind listening this time. Although let me ask you something first." she said, not breaking her eye contact with him for a second. You say I'm an acolyte like I'm now one of your siblings, but then..." she took a glance at the car Luce was in as it drove off. "Why should you expect me to act like one when she refuses to accept or even treat me as one." She looked him in the eye again. "I've already said this to her, but I'll repeat myself for the sake of it. I actually DO NOT." and she emphasized the words 'do not' "have a problem with any of you." Her words were emotionless, but you could tell there was some truth behind them as she finally took her seat in the car as requested. "If anything. Yeah, I don't trust you guys yet, but it doesn't mean I'm not willing to try. she was now examining the knife Mulligan had given her earlier, having let it materialise to her hand. "In fact, even though you get my name wrong all the time. I'd have to say I certainly don't dislike you." Even though... he actually got it right this time. she allowed the slightest hint of a smile to flash across her face, but only for a brief second.
Elysia grinned at Iris's reaction of grabbing her, and pulled her in close for a one armed hug. "Sheesh... what are you like eh sis?" she beamed. "You need to be more confident, after all, I already know you can smash a bludger harder than pretty much anyone I know." she laughed referring to the time that her sister had panicked during a practice as a bludger had come towards her and had hit it so hard the bloody thing had knocked Elysia unconscious instead. But finally, she turned to Lelouch and gave another mischievous grins. She pulled him and Iris with her over to a glass case, expecting Luke to just follow. Inside was a plain piece of parchment, folded neatly. "I'll give you guys one guess of what legendary Hogwarts item this is and then Lulu, I'll ask you if you still feel confident on breaking magical seals and locks."

This is probably it. Remember on my birthday how when Bueno posted that thread wishing me happy birthday, there was the on-running joke of how it was my birthday where I am, but not where he was (at the time). (Or as we liked to call it... I'm in the future.) It's probably the same matter as this I would think, or at least similar.
Alexis felt uncomfortable with someone being this close but she didn't show it. She sighed as Luce yelled stuff at her face, This girl is such a pain... she can't even keep her emotions in check. She's making a scene when we're meant to be inconspicuous... You ARE pathetic... just take a good look at yourself right now, in fact, look down. If you were paying more attention instead of losing yourself, you might have had time to notice the winning move in this game you seem to want to play." Suddenly, Alexis turned her head to Lenny, "I suggest you get her away from me now, before we're picking the pieces of her off of the side-walk." for no one would have noticed how in a split second, Mulligan's shotgun, that had been in the trunk of the car seconds before, was now in Alexis's hands and pressing suddenly into Luce's stomach.
To be honest... both seasons are good, other than the repetitive-ness of 'the endless 8' in season two. Both are good and necessary, I love the anime but I personally much prefer the manga and novels. Anyway, I hope that answers your question. After a while in season 2, you may wish to skip some of the 'endless 8' episodes. I personally watched them all, but yeah. That is up to you.
Lent didn't even move that much. He lazilly angled his head to the side so the man's fist just sailed smoothly past, not making any contact, and he bought a hand out to catch the knee heading towards his groin. "You sure you wanna do this?" he smirked. "Something else other than your alcohol induced stupor must be making you cocky enough to make you think you can take on a member of SOLDIER."
Kamina sat alone in a room, cross legged and with his hands tied and hanging above his head. He lay asleep, feeling pretty darn hungry. Meanwhile, Simon was doing some more late night digging... he was just going along idly, lost in a sort of trance and then, his drill made contact with something. "Huh? ...What the?" he drilled around until he revealed what it was... it was a giant face of some sort. ~ Kamina was still asleep, but something urged him awake... He opened his eyes just as a drill popped up right in the middle of his crossed legs, with near perfect accuracy and then there was Simon's face. "Bro! You gotta come quick! I found this huge face!" "Uh... Simon, I trust your drill, but next time, can you not come up near that exact spot." he shuddered. "But huh? What's this about a face?" "Oh come on! You gotta see it!" "This counts as a jail break you know." Kamina muttered, suddenly pulling on his wrists and the ropes binding them breaking easily, showing that he could have escaped any time anyway. ~ Moments later, they were walking through the village, Kamina talking in a relaxed manner with his arms folded behind his head. "You know there will be hell to pay if the chief finds out about this, Simon." he said uncaringly. "I was so pre-occupied with what I've found... I didn't even think about that..." "Well, as long as we get back by morning, no one will know." ...and as if on cue... Lights surrounded them and standing in front of them was the Village Chief. "Ya got some nerve, breakin' out of jail Kamina." Kamina just looked at the chief before questioning Simon. "Simon. Is this the humongous face?" to which Simon just shook his head in a panicked manner. "DON'T YOU MESS WITH ME SONNY! I'm the village chief and that means I also stand guard. Simon, that goes for you too! I know all about those extra tunnels you've been digging in secret!" Kamina stood in front of Simon, shielding him, his arms out wide. "Leave him, he hasn't done anything. I'm the guilty one." "OH YES! I'm perfectly aware of that!" he said head-butting Kamina, before smashing Kamina's shoulders and fore-head with the sheathed sword that he carried. Kamina didn't budge an inch as he just glared at the chief. The chief was about to hit Kamina again when suddenly... Everything started shaking super violently, worse than any earthquake they had ever had before. The ceiling suddenly cracked and shuttered, letting in vast amounts of sunlight and... a gigantic/metalic being towering over them. Everyone looked on in fear and awe. "So... Simon.. this thing you wanted to show me... is this it?" Kamina smirked as he put on his pointy sunglasses.
Kurisu nodded at Mya's orders, but without waiting, 'cause he knew she'd be close behind anyway. He took off walking in search for Lynne, a thousand things racing through his mind.
Immediately, Alexis's hand lashed out and caught the what would be for most people, unseeable hair from the air. She clutched it in her hand. "I don't want or need to be looked after, I've always been fine alone." she told Luce, bluntly, not showing a trace of emotion on her unreadable face. "You on the other hand, you're a broken girl. I can see it from the drugged up state of your eyes. You've become dependant and addicted to that Demon Blood stuff. Alexis didn't back down at all, even from the force this girl was emitting from her. "Pathetic."
Kurisu stood up at once and looked at the others grimly, ignoring his bleeding knuckles. "The place with the most people, that will take the most damage... Let's go." and he started to lead them on the trek towards the superstore near the centre of town.
