Oda sensed someone was following him and Sapphire so he decided he would use his music to trap people in a trance including himself. He started to play Rose of May on his harmonica so loudly with all the emotion he could muster. So when someone heard the turn it puts people in a trance. In the trace people see their memories of all their family and friends and all their loses. Even Oda himself wasn't immune to the effects of his own music. He began to see his entire life within the darkness, He saw his birth, his childhood, his choices and even his old dreams. All he seen weighed heavy on his heart but only he could see that.

Spine has entered the Tunnels and Oda's music hit his ears, he just froze as his time began to play in his head. He saw his father, his mother and even his long lost Uncle who had been lost when he was so young. He saw his life hiding in the library reading all the books he could. The words his uncle said to him came back "A man's heart is a unpredictable thing just know it bears both the light and the dark, but is down to you to decide which path is right for you" He remembered the Vow he made the day he lost all the people he cared about and his home to a disaster. The memories of his birth flowed into his head followed by his happy childhood to his thirteenth birthday. He remembered the darkness engulf his parents and the tragic event that took place straight after. He saw a sword pierce his uncle's heart and his uncle's last words came back to him. "Dear Spine my time is over now take my powers and follow your own path, walk the path of your heart do not make the same mistake I made" Tears flew down Spine's face as his memories continued to enter his mind including the gifts his uncle passed on to him on that tragic day.

Think about this when some people are ill their bodies reject the medicine meaning they can't be cured and death is inevitable. In events like this it means they have no control over anything so they take control on the one thing they can, when they are going to die. I know I'd want to fight but not if my friends or family were there to see me do it. I'd want them to remember me as the guy I was before the illness not the guy the illness has made me. My family are the smothering kind so you get no peace if they can help it. That is why suicide was the best choice for me. Everyone is different and everyone has different circumstances and different people around them. So no two answers can ever truly be the same.
