You'd expect more staff to be on now, given that it's the day of the upgrade, and yet the only staff that have been on today are libregkd, iwantedtoexplode and Forsaken, with the last two being the most recent.

It's currently 7:38 AM, but it's 10:38 AM for most of the staff.

Target Investigating Data Breach
First Super One Foods (which resolved it a while ago), and now Target? What is wrong with people? Also, this probably happens every year around the holidays, but this is just the first time we've heard about it.

The sources said the breach appears to have begun on or around Black Friday 2013 — by far the busiest shopping day the year.

Update, Dec. 19: 8:20 a.m. ET: Target released a statement this morning confirming a breach, saying that 40 million credit and debit card accounts may have been impacted between Nov. 27 and Dec. 15, 2013.

Original story;

According to sources at two different top 10 credit card issuers, the breach extends to nearly all Target locations nationwide, and involves the theft of data stored on the magnetic stripe of cards used at the stores.

Minneapolis, Minn. based Target Brands Inc. has not responded to multiple requests for comment. Representatives from MasterCard and Visa also could not be immediately reached for comment.

Both sources said the breach was initially thought to have extended from just after Thanksgiving 2013 to Dec. 6. But over the past few days, investigators have unearthed evidence that the breach extended at least an additional week — possibly as far as Dec. 15. According to sources, the breach affected an unknown number of Target customers who shopped at the company’s bricks-and-mortar stores during that timeframe.

“The breach window is definitely expanding,” said one anti-fraud analyst at a top ten U.S. bank card issuer who asked to remain anonymous. “We can’t say for sure that all stores were impacted, but we do see customers all over the U.S. that were victimized.”

There are no indications at this time that the breach affected customers who shopped at Target’s online stores. The type of data stolen — also known as “track data” — allows crooks to create counterfeit cards by encoding the information onto any card with a magnetic stripe. If the thieves also were able to intercept PIN data for debit transactions, they would theoretically be able to reproduce stolen debit cards and use them to withdraw cash from ATMs.

It’s not clear how many cards thieves may have stolen in the breach. But the sources I spoke with from two major card issuers said they have so far been notified by one of the credit card associations regarding more than one million of cards total from both issuers that were thought to have been compromised in the breach. A third source at a data breach investigation firm said it appears that “when all is said and done, this one will put its mark up there with some of the largest retail breaches to date.”

Some of the largest retailer breaches to date may help explain what happened in this case. In 2007, retailer TJX announced that its systems had been breached by hackers. The company later learned that thieves had used the store’s wireless networks to access systems at its Massachusetts headquarters that were used to store data related to payment card, check and return transactions at stores across the country, and that crooks had made off with data from more than 45 million customer credit and debit cards.

In 2009, credit card processor Heartland Payment Systems disclosed that thieves had broken into is internal card processing network, and installed malicious software that allowed them to steal track data on more than 130 million cards.

Wrong Number?

So some number that I didn't know called me about 27 minutes ago and just sent me a text message. It was different in which it asked me to retrieve a file because it was an image, and the image was a warehouse.

Wrong number? I dunno. LOL

I've been curious about this for the longest time.

I'm sure you guys know how drama shows like Degrassi have homosexual characters in them. Not that it matters, because I don't care what people are, but do you think they're homosexual in real life? Additionally, if they're not, do you think it's a bit weird for them when they have to do same gender kissing scenes? (Nothing overly sexual, just some light kissing.)

A 17-year-old high school student was battling for her life Sunday as Colorado officials tried to understand why a fellow student shot her and tried to shoot his debate coach last week.

Two days after the incident at Arapahoe High School in Centennial, the wounded student, Claire Davis, remained in critical condition Sunday afternoon at Littleton Adventist Hospital, spokeswoman Lauren Brendel told the Los Angeles Times.

Brendel said she had no information about Davis' prognosis.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, in an appearance on CBS' "Face The Nation" on Sunday, said Davis was in a coma after a shotgun blast hit her in the face and that he had visited her and her family in the hospital.

"Her parents are two of the most wonderful people you could ever hope to meet," Hickenlooper said. "You know, they adopted her. I mean, they are besides themselves, and, really, we all have to keep Claire in our thoughts and our prayers. Her parents ... I can't imagine what they're going through. It's unspeakable."

Davis may not have been a premeditated target, Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said at a Saturday news conference. She was in "the wrong place at the wrong time" as Karl Halverson Pierson, 18, stalked through the high school with a shotgun on Friday, he said.

The pair didn't appear to interact before Pierson shot her, Robinson said. Pierson unsuccessfully searched the school for a librarian who had been his debate coach, authorities said, before he killed himself in the library after setting off a Molotov cocktail that set bookshelves ablaze.

Hickenlooper, a Democrat who pushed successfully for universal background checks for in-state gun purchases and for limited magazine sizes, was almost at a loss in his "Face the Nation" interview Sunday.

Because Pierson was 18, he was able to purchase his shotgun legally; a sheriff's deputy was in the building when the shooting began; and Pierson didn't exactly stand out among other students as a possible gunman, Hickenlooper said.

"He didn't seem to have a mental illness. He had a lot of friends. He was outspoken. There have been a couple stories that he was bullied, and that's a recurring theme we see sometimes with these shootings. But, again, there's no rhyme or reason," Hickenlooper said.

He added: "We've invested over $20 million the last legislative session in mental illness. So we've got, you know, 24-7 hot lines. We've got mobile crisis centers. We've got 24- 7 drop-in centers, really trying to — to intercept people with mental illness before they can cause damage to themselves or to others. And — and yet somehow this kid didn't exhibit any of those symptoms."

One of Pierson's fellow students on the debate team, however, told The Times that his friends were concerned about his behavior.

Larson Ross, 18, a debate team captain, said Pierson had become angrier after a September spat with the debate coach.

"It seemed like he was attacking people to try and elicit a response, and in doing so he would put himself above that person on a mental level," Ross said. "It started making it tough for a lot of people to be his friend."

Changes in Pierson were so apparent, Ross said, that his friends were talking about whether they needed to tell someone that he might be "going off the edge."

Pierson's attack happened just one hour after their discussion.

It's a relationship that started when the student was 17, but reading the article, sex did not happen until the male was 18.

Personally, now that she's been indefinitely banned from teaching and he's of legal consenting age, I don't see a problem if they continue to have a relationship.

Jonathan Robinson suspected 27-year-old Eppie Sprung Dawson and his son Matthew, who was 17, may have had an inappropriate relationship when he saw them flirting at a rugby game.

Sprung Dawson and Matthew, who is now 18, were found in a car by a police patrol car on the evening of a dance at St Joseph’s College in Dumfries last December.

The English teacher, who had been just four years into her career when she had seduced the dyslexic teenager, was naked from the waist down.

In July, she admitted in court to having sex with her student and was ordered to complete a course of psychosexual counselling and placed on the sex offenders register for six months.

On Monday she was found to be ‘unfit to teach’ by a disciplinary panel, and banned indefinitely from the profession.

Mr Robinson saw her speaking to his son at a rugby game last autumn and described her conduct as ‘peculiar’.

He told The Times: ‘They were at the rugby club, she was talking to us, and the way she behaved with the teenage boys was quite childlike, acting like a giggly schoolgirl.

‘Then one of the teachers came along and she just changed. It was like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. I asked my wife to tell the school, and they said they would look into it.’

He said that on other occasions the school had phoned him to ask why his son was not in lessons - only to find him in Sprung Dawson’s classroom.

Mr Robinson said that the teenager moved out of the family's farmhouse in Dumfries and into the shamed teacher's marital home three months ago after a row with his mother over tidying his room.

The couple are now in a relationship.

When their affair first emerged, Sprung Dawson had been married for almost three years to her husband, Ranald, a lecturer and the son of Lord Sprung Dawson, the former Solicitor-General for Scotland.

Mr Robinson said he invited Sprung Dawson to his home and given his blessing for her to date his son one day, should they meet again when he was older.

‘She said she understood. But she hadn’t even got into her car before she was texting him — I know because he was just sat in the kitchen playing on the computer,’ he said.

‘She buys him clothes and gifts. She acts like a mum, but she is having a sexual relationship with him,’ he said.

Although Sprung Dawson - who is now said to be working in a bar - has been banned indefinitely from her profession, she can apply to be reinstated to the teaching register in just two years.

On Monday, Matthew's mother said Sprung Dawson had been given little more than a ‘slap on the wrist, not a punishment’.

Sheree Robinson, 44, added: ‘If she is potentially allowed to go back to teaching after two years, what is to stop her from doing something like this again?

‘She should not be allowed to teach again, in my family’s view. I think this comes back to double standards and you have to wonder if she were a male teacher whether the door would be left open for her to teach again.

‘She should not be allowed to teach children of any age ever again as she clearly has problems which caused what happened with my son.’

However, a source familiar with the process said it was ‘rare’ for a teacher to apply for reinstatement, and suggested that Sprung Dawson would struggle to have her ban overturned because of the sexual nature of the case.

The Scottish Government will now decide whether to put her on a list excluding her from working with children or vulnerable adults.

Sprung Dawson pleaded guilty in July to sexual activity with a person under 18 while she was in a position of trust as his teacher.

She was spared jail after Dumfries Sheriff Court heard how she had been abused as a teenager by a man 29 years her senior.

Mr Robinson is understood to be one of a string of young lodgers who have stayed at Sprung Dawson’s home.

She slammed the door without commenting when the Daily Mail visited on Monday.

Sprung Dawson’s parents, Alan Sprung and Margaret Holdsworth, 64, from Coventry, also declined to comment.

However, the Robinsons said that they were happy to speak about their son’s case ‘so that if there is another teacher out there thinking about it, they will think, Is it worth it?’

I want to revive this. Please read thoroughly through it.

I know it comes down to personal preference, but if a hard and fast rule were to exist, what it would be? For example, would Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot be better or would Spyro and Crash be better?

From some of the responses in my previous thread, part of it has to do with what the characters are more known by (e.g., Timmy Turner is often called Timmy Turner) and part of it has to do with if people know the characters (e.g., if you just had Naruto as your username, then it's obvious where it's from, but would just Crash be the same level of obviousness?).

Basically, in TV shows and video games where there are last names, what do you do? For example, and this was already mentioned in my previous thread, when I was Hyuga Ryght from Phantasy Star Universe, my username was Hyuga Ryght, but when I was Yut Jun Yunkers from Phantasy Star Portable 2, which is the same series, my username was Yut.

Take out the factor of just the first name already being taken for this.
