Yeah because Plums was premium for like, a few days this year.
@Plums because this is the last time I'll ever be able to truly vote for him. It won't be the same later.
The Devil Wears Prada and Moulin Rouge. El Tango de Roxanne might be the only reason for Moulin Rouge though
Hey, I was missed (sorry it's cause I switched from my original party months ago to go to another one) Edit: I actually never posted in that thread oops sorry about all this
Question, the Video Portal hasn't been active so people can't really look there for AMVs to vote. Is it alright if that is Self Nom as well? I'm sure it was previous years
Nick looked a little embarrassed at Lisa mentioning telling everyone it was his birthday and scratched the back of his head, "I um, I didn't want to run around telling people about my birthday, ya know?" Nick sat himself up better in his wheelchair and explained, "Then you get a bunch of people who say happy birthday and things out of obligation more than anything. Like when a teacher forces a whole class to sing Happy Birthday or something. It's always a little embarrassing." When she asked about where he was heading he looked around nervously and then said, "I don't intend on going anywhere but sometimes you just end up going somewhere randomly. Sometimes people like to push my wheelchair down the hallway if you get what I mean. Were you planning on heading somewhere?"
My laptop legitimately died, so I'm getting a new one, this one's a dell Hello from the other side.
By Mafia do you mean like, actual mafia style, or Godfather-styled mafia? One is a little more on the fantasy side of things while the other is, well, a lot more brutal. Either way, I'm down.
Nick heard Lisa's voice at a distance and then next thing he knew she was right next to him. He wasn't one to start scolding but he had a feeling she shouldn't have been running right then. But he decided to just brush it off and he smiled at her, "Hey Lisa. Not much is up, I'm just a little excited since it's my birthday." he fell back in his chair intentionally and replied, "Fifteen years, I'm honestly surprised I made it... really..." he didn't mean at first actually making it because of his disease, but for a brief moment he couldn't help but think that. To snap himself out of it he then turned to her and asked with a raised eyebrow, "How about you? Anything interesting going on with you?"
Uh huh. Good town play. tenataten. I'll be sure to write plenty of stuff for your to take when a grain of salt until I'm dead then.
Okay so am I basically irrelevant now? That's the second time I've tried chiming in something and wasn't acknowledged...
That's a really strange sentence. I end up reading the last sentence as "Oh thank god, I don't have to die if Marushi dies woo thank god I can survive another day, what a relief!"
What is this definitive logic. I have heard this so many times "if x is mafia y is town, I don't think x and y can be together" but what exactly makes you think they have to be on opposite sides? When anyone uses this, I get deductive reasoning and all but, it automatically makes it seem like you're dissolving any form of teaming that those two could do. But not just them, just in general. Some people can easily get influenced by the idea of "these two are on opposite sides" without there really being concrete evidence for it.
You're absolutely right and I'm sorry. My quicktopic glitched out and I couldn't see past a certain post until I refreshed it. But it was also right next to a different question where you asked "are you remaining silent to see who will try and save you?" which wasn't the case either, technically. I don't know if my idea behind any of this came across at all. It was an extremely stupid idea in hindsight.
You didn't ask me to clarify that point. The overall intent of my quick-topic was to see if you would actually do something like this. I wanted to see if I acted as scummy as possible if you would still throw me on the line. Most of the stuff I was saying was a lie, I thought you were mafia, and I was trying to see if I could bait you into a situation where no matter how scummy I looked, even if I totally read as though I was a mafia member, if you would vote for me. If after everything I said, you were still not pointing any of this stuff out and keeping it in quicktopic, I figured that would reveal if you were scum or not. That was the plan from earlier that I mentioned I would explain, but I was still asleep when you jumped out and lynched. But, if Al's behavior reads as anything, we are taking down a mafioso today. And I said I would die if it secured a lynch for a mafia member. It's just a shame that I'm not mafia, so we aren't losing two today. Don't change your votes though. Maybe we can figure out with these hours left who the other members are.
I am happy Spoldge turned out to be mafia and we got them gone, but I know it makes me look bad. My not scum-reading Splodge was me attempting to give newbie benefit of the doubt and I was wrong, but since I was the only person who wanted to give that benefit of the doubt, it makes me look bad. I shouldn't have done that, I shouldn't have just assumed because they were new they were making newbie mistakes. But my opinion of him WAS flipping during the day, and I did suspect him because I missed important pieces that people were reading. It's why my final day post of yesterday (since I like... just woke up at 3pm... whoops) was this: In terms of my play style... I've pretty much ALWAYS been this way. If you look at older mafia games on the site (which like, if you actually want to do that homework go ahead but I'm pretty sure I've been in 3 other games) I always ended up staying off to the sidelines. My problem with last game was that I became so emotionally invested in it that when I messed up, I didn't go back on the site for two days. So I've been trying to balance this out so I don't set myself up against a townie and get so convinced they die again. It's so demoralizing for me to put that much effort and work into case building and it ends up wrong. I over-analyse. So I've been trying this game to take a step back and read everyone's actions. But because of that, I do have opinions formed, I think I might have figured out who a couple of people are. But I don't have enough against them yet and I'm trying to write out as convincing a post as I can. That being said, one of my mafia suspicions, is also one of/my lover(s). So if you guys go after me before I can even finish this, and I die and that lover goes down and turns out to have been mafia all along, then I don't consider that a loss. If that's what clinches it, then I'm fine with it. I mean, if I were any of you with the cases built up against me, then I'd vote for me too. Since I haven't been doing that good of a job of convincing you all.
Today is my birthday. Nick was literally turning fifteen on this exact day, and he was pretty excited about it too. He was just happy to know he made it to another year, one specifically on a five year interval. He made it a decade and a half, and that was a goal he had to be proud of at this point. He got himself up out of his bed and felt around for his wheelchair and carefully placed himself on it. It was far enough away to not be too much of a strain on him. He didn't need nurse assistance at this point in time, but he wasn't sure how long that would last. Nick rolled on out of the room, he wasn't quite hungry yet, or awake fully. Despite his excitement. He rolled on towards one of the more common areas, making sure to go slow, since there was always the chance he'd accidentally roll himself into a wall.
I feel kind of like an idiot, because I didn't notice this until it was layed out in front of me and... yeah, that seems really suspicious and I think you might be onto something with this. Though I'm not sure if it's because they're scum buddies, or if it's because they're lovers? I have NO idea. But I think it's weird that the vote just shifted along with whoever had that suspicion of Cal. Like, yeah I know WHY people are building cases against ME. But he tried making one for judge and gave up when he realized he got the wrong person.
I unvoted Nova a while ago but since you missed it I'll just ##Unvote: Ars Nova again
