Too Overcontrasted, add a Brightness and Contrast Layer Mask (SP?) and lower the contrast, the text could improve, the render is a little slapped in, smudge to make it blend, and the background.... =/.

Well, I personally think that spdude needs a chance, and with that actitude I can say you are giving him one, after all, everybody in this world deserves a chance. He is trying to revive the site from his current dead state, we can only wait and see what he can do, and probably he ran some forums, and probably this is another site to him, but who knows, if you are still intriged about that, go and ask him. I kinda admit that make him staff so quickly could be too much, but yes, probably he and DS discussed this some time ago and today he registered. Sorry if I sound a little mean :sweatdrop:.

Well, tone up the effects a little, ´cause they are kind of dark, retire the text, it really is unfitting, the negative space is good, but a little less would be better, probably add some soft brushes at different blending modes if is still too dark after you toned it up, still, nice for a first sprite tag.
