Believe me, it is. There are no happy endings on Supernatural, only funny filler to cushion the blow from sad episode to sad episode.
Supernatural can also be a great friendship builder, but for different reasons. Doctor Who builds a bond by giving you hope. Supernatural builds a bond by taking away that hope. Either way, it gives you a pretty solid support network while the show is on hiatus.
