"No way," Angel protested. "I've got stuff at home that can take care of it - like a little sister."
"If you do that again, I'm going to have to hit you," Angel grumbled, moving away from Advent.
"Let's hang behind the crowd a bit," Aidou instructed. "What for?" Aduial asked. "I'm getting hungry," Aidou answered simply. "I don't think you'd like it if I made a scene now in broad daylight." "You're right; I wouldn't," Aduial kept her hand on Aidou's arm and slowed her pace so that they fell about 10 paces behind the rest of the people. "Is that any better?" "Better would be to just eat one of them," Aidou muttered.
"Let's," Angel agreed, deciding to ignore Advent's first remark. She folded her arms, covering the cut from sight.
Angel pushed Advent back, trying to mask the sting that sent to her cut. "If I say 'later,' will you let it go?"
Aidou grumbled about the sunlight, but let Aduial lead him back towards the evacuating people. Aduial kept her eyes out for the two that they'd watched earlier. She wasn't sure what kind of excuse she'd have to come up with if she was brought into conversation with one of them. She watched the path carefully, leading Aidou around some holes in the ground.
"Not gonna happen," Angel denied. "Renge first."
no problem. ^^
"Aidou...?" Aduial began, but then decided not to ask her question. "What is it?" Aidou sighed, knowing the tone Aduial had used. She was about to ask something he'd disagree with. "I think we should go with these people," Aduial suggested. "Think about it. We really helped last night. They obviously can't do a good job of protecting themselves. We can help." Quickly, she added, "You're going to walk into a wall." Aidou stopped and turned to face Aduial. He'd made it to some shade next to a building, so he could see some shapes. "Fine. But the minute they do anything I find suspicious, we leave. Or take them down. Oh, and I'll probably eat a few of them. Okay?" Aduial cringed. She didn't like it when Aidou spoke of humans as fast-food. "Okay." She agreed.
Angel glared at Advent. "If I wanted the attention, I'd let you know. Listen, we've got to figure out what to do about Renge. You can worry about me later."
um.... Earth. ^^
Aduial caught up to Aidou. "Weren't you the one that wanted to talk to them?" "I changed my mind," Aidou replied dully with a shrug.
"They're whispering to each other. Can you hear them?" Aduial asked. "Yeah," Aidou answered. "Seems they don't like the company. Let's go. We can find someone else that's useful." Without giving time for Aduial to protest, Aidou turned around and began to walk away. Aduial followed with a glance over her shoulder. She supposed it was for the best. She knew that Aidou didn't like company that much either.
Angel put her hand over her cut. "Stop worry about me. I'm fine." She assured. Though, she was a bit worried about how much blood she'd lost.
"I don't think we should intrude if they're in a conversation," Aduial said. Aidou rolled his blinded eyes. "That doesn't really matter. But if it bothers you so much, we can wait."
Jasmine turned her head away from Jake. She was scared, of course, but Logan and the others had showed her kindness. They were the first to do so since she'd gotten these powers. She didn't want them to be hurt. "Then... I'll go with you."
Jasmine struggled against Jake's hold, but then was still. "If... if I go with you, will you promise not to hurt anyone here?"
"Actually," Anna began. "I think those two should be split up. They can focus more if they're not drooling over each other."
"No," Angel replied firmly. "I told you before and I'll tell you again: I don't run."
"I say we kick her out," Hannah muttered dryly. "She can have this place back when we're done." Beatrice turned her head to the side, uncomfortable. "I just want to go home."
