Kaida's silence for the most part had been trying to figure out exactly what was going on. The world splitting seemed weird compared to the other ones, and after she felt herself being led into one of the worlds by Luna at that point anyway. She hadn't fully seen what group went in there before her so she didn't know who the other 2/4 was, but she knew she'd figure it out soon anyway. Besides, better to just get started than wait around for her to mentally process everything. Upon entering the world, Kaida immediately realized her attire changed just by walking on in. She moved her hands up to her head to feel the helmet, since it immediately felt heavier to her and she wanted to adjust it, and the neon glow to the outfit she thought was pretty cool. She heard Luna ask a question, and heard a response from Beuce, which caused her to look up and see Beuce were with her. Even if she wasn't sure what her relation with Ignis was yet, she was content that Beuce was at least there, since she knew he had her back at least. Kaida thought about Luna's question and said, "Well, they did mention us being in a... game of some kind before? So maybe we're in a computer? That's my best guess. Now, what exactly is going on inside the computer I have no idea..." Kaida looked around at the neon-city like environment and commented, "Seems very empty for a city though, and everything just seems so... dreary... oh no are we in some sort of dystopian future genre?"
Ria was a bit surprised to hear two offers come suddenly from Cerdic and Alder. Cerdic's answer seemed, unlikely, but quite possible. While Alder's certainly seemed likely, but Ria was not sure he needed it. Ria seemed to ponder for a moment before looking at Alder and saying, "While your offer is tempting and I believe you, it is not something I require. And, well to be frank my friend. I want you dead. Gone. Poof. Which is why Cerdic's little scheme with the journal is not going to give any of you a pass whatsoeve-" Ria heard a tearing noise, and looked over at Cerdic. He lowered his hand which stopped Mora from choking and instead made her cough, she looked drained and tired and Ria began to make their way towards Cerdic saying, "Ya know, I guess you're right. You did hide it somewhere, didn't you? Well, at least you didn't lie. Though, I'm not quite sure how I feel about you ripping up the pages. Therefore-" Ria lifted his hand and darkness from the circle came out and began to surround Cerdic. It was not nearly as paralyzing as the one in the circle, in fact with enough willpower Cerdic could probably escape. Ria walked on over and said, "I'll happily take the book from you now." There was a moment where Ria freed one of Cerdic's hands to reach the book, and Ria held their hand out as if ready to accept it, "I'll let you go, hero." But in an instant, Ria noticed Relli coming at him from the corner of his eye. Erratic, uncontrolled, and swinging the keyblade with as much force as possible, going straight for Ria's leg's like the last time Relli attempted. Though this time, it worked perfectly, as Ria's reaction time was not nearly as good after what happened with Marley. And Ria ended up losing their grip on Cerdic with the darkness, but he was able to at least push Cerdic away from him, just away from the group before falling down. Relli got on top of Ria and dropping the keyblade, began punching the lights out of the guy. Between each punch, Relli gritted their teeth as they commented, "I've had enough of your games! I've had enough of you killing everyone! I have had enough of not knowing what's going on! I've had enough of your ugly mug speaking with their know-it-all attitude." Relli gave one more solid punch before yelling, "Fuck you!" Ria laid on the ground for a moment to process it before chuckling a bit and saying, with Alder's voice, "You have no idea what you're dealing with, do you, Princey? If you did, you wouldn't have left your keyblade." Relli moved to go and summon it out once more before Ria grabbed Relli by the neck and darkness began to surround him and said, "At this rate, I'm gonna have to get rid of all of the ones I don't need to be rid of. But this is fine." Relli struggled to get out of his grasp, shaking uncontrollably and struggling before Relli looked tired out and seemed to slowly stop before Relli started to disappear into light as Ria said, "And... goodbye." he let go and Relli disappeared before Ria just kind of laid there on the floor, trying to catch their breath saying. They rolled over shaking, until they were at least on their hands and knees. Their breathing was heavy and they seemed to be struggling a lot before the ground turned to darkness and they disappeared into it. Trying to not show that much weakness anymore. Mora took a breath and said, "The- the crystals. There are five of them. One in each corner of the village, and one up there." Mora pointed up towards the top of the cave and said, "If... if you can break them, it should free the circle and we can get out of here... If we can only break a few, we might be able to struggle our way out of here without passing out..." Mora started shaking a lot before she started crying, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry..."
Take listened to Tinarah express her feelings about Choma leaving and the fear of getting hurt. He understood this completely, not because he had this problem himself anymore, but he knew he used to. He was a bit hesitant to bring up the fact he was "used to it" as he didn't think that was going to help. Takehiko raised an eyebrow and asked, "You think Master Choma would leave us alone if he didn't think we were strong enough to handle ourselves?" he crossed his arms to think of some solution for her and said, "Tell you what. If you're worried about us getting hurt, how about you use that cure spell Choma just taught us and give it some practice so you can heal us better? Being a healer isn't any less important as someone out there and fighting... though..." Take stopped himself before he even stated his thoughts. He wasn't sure how to word it and he was worried he'd sound stupid. He tried to word it as best as he could in his head but instead it slipped out, "Sometimes people have to get hurt so they can learn how not to get hurt." once he said he it kind of stood there for a moment and said, "Iunno. Just. You can do this. Just..." he shook his head and said, "Just... you'll be fine." and he didn't really know what else to say.
Hey, so I started realizing recently that I've been listening to a lot of the same songs lately... or same types of songs. And I just have not really had the motivation to really go out of my way and search for new songs to listen to so I figured... why not ask everyone what they're listening to or what their favorite songs are, just so I can get some new songs to listen to and possibly find new artists and genres I didn't know I was into. I'm making the playlist on youtube, and making a little google doc that says the name, artist, what the genre is, (if applicable) whether or not the video has a big part in enjoyment of the song, and (if applicable) if the song is more of a song to listen to ironically. I know I'm putting this in spam zone, so I am prepared for ironic or meme type entries in here, that's fine. It would be nice though if you could tell me which of the songs you tend to listen to more ironically. So plugs your favorite bands, plug your favorite songs, plug your own songs, give me songs you hate to love or love to hate. Or just... don't give songs at all. But I will have the playlist and google doc available for anyone who just happens to also want to use it. I already put some of my personal favorites in there for anyone who would like to give those a listen. If I somehow max out the youtube playlist, I'll make a second one. I'm.. not sure I'm worried about that though. Thanks guys so much in advance. o7 Note: if the song you'd like to rec is not on youtube, just provide me a link and I'll find it, probably buy it if I have to, and add it to my personal dropbox mix instead. Google Doc Youtube Playlist
Aalis listened to the story intently, always fascinated by being able to learn a little more... then she got bored. She started fazing out, since all she was doing was standing there and listening to a story and not doing anything herself. Then the girl telling the story said she was the wind guardian. Convenient. Aalis rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah, and I'm the Spring Maiden or something... listen, I love stories but I don't see why this is relevant during orientation. Though, I'm glad I'm in the company of madmen I suppose." Uva listened to everything with a full fascination. The responses everyone was giving seemed rather lackluster and borderline offensive. So once Aalis spoke, Uva finally said something. Her voice was very soft, but it in no way sounded shy. It just seemed to lack any form of punch that would make her voice stand out, "I'm gonna bounce off the crazy one's commet... why tell us? We... we all just got here for orientation... we haven't even started classes or being sorted into teams... is this something you do for every freshman? This feels very diverted and exclusive and.... I'm not sure how I feel about that."
As the group went towards the circle, Marley had also joined keyblade in hand and skirted the edge looking for something to help. They moved on over towards Kara and said, "Hey, this isn't the time to sleep, wake u-" Just as Marley was about to finish, Mora quickly ran up out of the shadows and shoved Marley into the circle. Marley was quickly wrapped into it similarly to how the other three were. Mora had not accounted for how much space she had between the circle and the safe ground. She moved to try and run away, so none of the others could come after her for doing that. But her leg had crossed the circle and was wrapped in the same darkness that wrapped the others, and it tried pulling her in more. Mora was freaking out and trying to pull away from it and the struggling made her weak. A laugh echoed briefly before Ria appeared on the roof of one of the houses, keyblade in hand in case someone managed to get up to them and attack, "Thank you Mora for your help." "Let me out of this!" Mora looked scared, "We had a deal! I got the people you wanted, now let me and my village free." "I'll free the village, that's no problem. But I can't release the traps until you five are disposed of." "F-five?" Mora looked confused and then scared as she realized, "Wait, I thought we-" "I never agreed to let you go, Mora. You know far too much for me to keep you around. Besides, your village will still be spared, I just need someone for this who was previously not involved in our little experiment." Ria grinned a little bit before looking at the rest. "And hello to all of you. I have a deal for the three of you in here not in the trap. I'll let you three go, no tricks, no mess. I'll let you three leave this world and let you live a longer life. But there's only one condition... and it's a similar offer to what I said before." Ria began to propose to them. Marley struggled a little bit in their trap. Looking around for some form of help. The closest one to them was Daeni, and they began reaching on out over to them. "Give me that journal. Unless of course, Marley has it." Ria reached their hand towards the darkness and it swirled a little more, he moved his hand to Marley and tightened their fist. Marley began to start making a strangled noise. Struggling a little as if trying to free themselves from the darkness that took hold over them. Their hand that was reached towards Daeni immediately moving back towards their neck. Ria focused a little more and said, "Nope... not Marley." they released slightly and Marley took a gasp of air and looked tired. Ria looked back at the group and said, "One of you... wait..." Ria's eyes widened a little before asking, "Where's Chrys?" Ria suddenly looked angry and said, "ANOTHER COMPLICATION!" the fist tightened more and Marley started to make the noises again and Ria shouted, "Is this YOUR doing?! Did you set this up in case I did something JUST LIKE THIS?" Marley had no idea what he was talking about but the air was leaving them before saying, "You're not going to be a complication for me anymore, I'm sick of you ruining EVERYTHING!" Marley barely managed to speak out, "I-I don't.... know what... you're rambling... a.... about but.... I'm not... gonna...." Marley was losing air and consciousness before saying, "Let... yoU...." Marley managed to break out a little from the darkness grasp and his keyblade appeared in his hand. Ria's eyes widened as they shouted, "WHAT?!" Marley pointed it at Ria and managed out as light shined from the keyblade, "W-win..." and the key shot straight at Ria and knocked him powerfully off the roof. Ria went flying and Marley dropped their keyblade and looked over at Daeni weakly before Marley managed out at barely a whisper, "...broken..." before the darkness let Marley go completely and they fell. Their body disappearing into sparkles of light. At precisely that moment, Mora shouted, "The... there are shards that look like crystals... there's five of them powering-" Mora felt darkness wrap around her throat too, beginning to strangle her as Ria reappeared on the roof, looking quite off balance as they said, "My offer, still stands. You three will survive if you give me the journal, or tell me who has it. Then you can go..." --- The village still contains quite a bit of heartless, but there's a particular spot that the heartless seem to be avoiding. It's a tiny little house, and while Chrys does not know it, it happens to be the house that Mora had been hiding in before she began starting trouble. Perhaps, Ria put an order to not attack in that area. Maybe its a convenience the gods above made up because they never intended for people to stay with the heartless so there's no plot for you to participate in. Who knows. You can do whatever character development you want, or just... not post until after the others' event.
Ria heard the noises of the welcome intruders and vanished quickly into darkness, as if to hide. Not really paying attention to Alder and Chrono at that point. Once he had, the darkness almost encouraged Cerdic to try and come closer, as well as the rest of them. Mora had stared at Chrys, watching him fight, and knew she didn't have time to a slowpoke. She shifted to go into the ladder and slammed the trapdoor down, leaving Chrys alone with the heartless. She slid on down the ladder with practice, getting down to the rest of the group fairly quickly but staying in the shadows so Alder and Chrono could not see her. Marley looked out a little bit behind Cerdic's shoulder and said, "Hey... it looks like Alder, Chrono, and Kara are having fun." they said it pretty loud too, so the words echoed towards the other three.
Takehiko found Choma's lessons to at the very least be very useful considering how much they had been getting beaten up back there. A cure spell he could very easily see coming in handy in any sticky spot. He already found this one lesson much more useful than anything Atmos taught him, but since Choma said one of the lessons would have probably been taught by her anyway, he had no idea which one so he was not about to abandon her on that account. Well, he really had no plans on betraying his master anyway, it was more of an internalized joke he had. When Take heard Tinarah tell him not to leave yet, Take walked a little closer and said, "Holding him back might just make things more dangerous... Tinarah?" he wasn't quite sure he remembered the name right which is why there was a bit of a question sound after that, "We'd be better off with more people to help us out with this situation... and well... if any of the other masters he's trying to find happen to have danger around, it'd be much easier to hide as one person rather than us all trying to maneuver as a group." he realized her was talking like a tactician and was not sure if that emotionally caught on and he snapped himself out of the stiffness and scratched the back of his head, "H-He'll be alright..." he bowed at Choma briefly and said, "Thank you for the lesson..."
Melus listened intently to what Lea had to say about the scenario. She pondered it for a bit while others said their piece and she was... interested in learning more about these people. Granted, she hoped not so much in monologues but she wanted to get to know them more. When there was a gap in place for her to speak, Melus smiled and shrugged saying, "Eh, where's there to run to even if I wanted to? I'd rather spend my time helping those I can than running like a coward." Melus stood up from her spot she was sitting and hugged her harp closer to her and said, "Just tell us what you need us to do, Ol' Man, and we'll probably all follow." she felt fairly confident about that, I mean, everyone who was there so far seemed pretty determined to go all in for a fight, whether they vocalized that or not. Melus was ready to help in whatever way she could regardless.
Mora looked around at the heartless and she tugged a bit at Cerdic's sleeve and said, "I can get the door open, just make sure nothing jumps at me." and she shifted back towards where the trap door was and began opening it. Though she looked like she was struggling a bit before it was finally up and she looked at the others and said, "Come on!" Marley had handed over the letter to Chrys, and looked a bit skeptical at Mora before looking at horde and deciding it was probably safer in there and they ran over and went down the ladder. Mora continued watching others, waiting, though her eyes looked down at Marley watching them go down the ladder, almost with a look of thought before looking up at the others. You can either fight the heartless, or go down the ladder to move the plot along. There are two days left before those who have not signed the contract will be considered out of the roleplay.
Aalis listened to the conversation, not expecting to immediately be asked with a question. She was not very familiar with fairy tales herself, she found more enjoyment in experiencing firsthand rather than learning from a story. Stories bored her a lot, almost put her to sleep. When he asked if they were familiar with the guardians she listened to what others said and she pointed on over towards Ari and said, "I think you're onto something. I think the Guardian of Fire was the hottest one though." she waited a moment to see the response and she awkwardly looked around, "Y... you know... cause... fire? It was a... I'm not into girls or anything sometimes puns are fun." Aalis huffed, "I'm familiar with the name of the story, but not the story itself." Aalis admitted crossing her arms.
Character Name: Uva Moore Nickname: Uva Gender: Female Race: Fox Faunas Age: 18 Personality: Uva is very soft spoken with the intent to try to stay out of sight, but it quite the trickster. Because everyone often assumes she is timid, she can get away with pranks a lot more. She's quick on her feet, but despite her cunning is very easy to fool. Appearance: Uva has orange hair and tends to wear a lot of purple. She always has her hood up, hiding her fox ears flat unless she is in private. Even in school uniform she will wear the hood, but no one tends to point it out because she tries to keep to the background. She has a tail, but she keeps it tucked into pants, in school uniform she keeps on shorts under the skirt to hide it. Bio: Uva was born and raised in Menagerie for several years, being surrounded mostly by Faunas. When she was young, the White Fang's influence began to spread rapidly on the island and her family, not quite agreeing with their beliefs, chose to flee Menagerie for their kids when they were 14. This turned out to be a mistake, as Uva took the brunt of the hostility towards faunas from the children and adults in the place they fled to. Uva begged for them to move somewhere else so she could start with that new knowledge and she began hiding her faunas identity. It became to much of a second nature to her, that Uva almost hates the faunas part of her. But even still, the draw of being able to protect the ones she did care about was stronger, and she chose to become a huntsman for that very reason, wanting to put others above herself even if it meant sacrificing that much. Weapon: You'll get a better idea of it looking at this: http://orig13.deviantart.net/977a/f/2015/328/d/e/tlilli_copy_by_jollyjoseph-d9hwqu7.png Other: Based on Aesop tale "Fox and the Grapes". Her name is the latin word for "grape" meant to invoke the color purple. Her last name taken from one of the women who modernized the tale in the early 20th century.
When the group had returned, she almost got into a bit of a mundane mindset, expecting not much more change. But the sudden shift in location threw her off, and at that point Kaida realized she could never trust herself to be comfortable with one location ever again. And then there were numbers were left for them to decipher. Kaida had no idea how to approach it. She kind of stared at it like it was some type of alien language, but when AJ seemed to figure it out, he looked on over at the list like everyone else had. Kaida saw that she had Luna, apparently, as a partner. This was fine to her, she had a brief conversation with Luna at one point and she knew who she was, which was fortunate considering there were some people in this group she barely knew the name of. Kaida walked on over to Luna and placed a friendly hand on her shoulder and she grinned, "You're stuck with me, my friend." Kaida heard the other two ask that question and turned and said, "Yeah, Base is here! He showed up while we were all in San Fransokyo... though... um.... I don't know what happened to Xara and Gwendolyn... I... I hope they're okay."

Ria smiled a bit at Chrono's question and he looked up at him. His mouth could be seen, but the rest of his face could not as they stated, "The hypothesis? Hm, I could tell you... but that's not necessary in the slightest. You'll figure it out when I'm done with all of you." Ria heard a noise and looked up towards where the ladder exited the mountain and said, "I think the rest of our friends are arriving." --- The further along they went down the road as they booked it from the heartless, slower the shadows seemed to get. But as they approached the entrance to the sanctuary. Suddenly, Mora came running from another direction, also being chased by shadows. She ran into Cerdic, since he was the closest one. And she fell to the ground and looked terrified before she got up and tried hiding behind Cerdic saying, "Help me!" she looked clearly defenseless, and a little banged up, and as she hid behind Cerdic she asked, "You're a hero, right? Please help me!" as the rest of them ran over. There was a moment where Mora locked eyes with Marley, but then she quickly looked away and back towards the heartless. Mora looked around an said, "Th-the sanctuary is nearby... if you get through some of these heartless you might be able to get inside..."
