Okay, so I've been reading up on the various accusations/arguments for my being mafia and I'll reply to some of the bigger ones as of now, if only because there's less than three hours to the deadline. If anyone wants me to elaborate on ANYTHING before the day is done, just ask. I'll start with the questions that were directed to me by @al215 To be honest, I'm not 100% sure where I'd put @Mish on the scale between town and mafia. Let me just bring up a couple things that just seem fishy to me. MAFIA VIBES: dropping the first vote of the game on Day 1 - Okay, so she defends herself here, and I will say that it's a logical defense and I probably shouldn't get mafia vibes from such a simple thing. HOWEVER, take a moment to put yourself into a mafia's shoes: starting off with a vote like this would be the perfect way to try and blend in with town. It establishes you as someone who isn't afraid to take action as opposed to making six pages of analysis before finally coming to a decision last minute, and having that behavioral pattern cemented early makes it just that bit easier to cover yourself when it comes to rash voting in the long game. I may be the only one thinking this way about that behavior, and again it was justified in a reasonable way to get the quiet people talking, but it just rubs me the wrong way that the explanation wasn't just placed in that first post. But speaking of rash voting... voting based on one post versus overall attitude/posts - Might just seem like I'm trying to call her out for putting all this speculation down on me, but I'm not. If it weren't going to isolate people and/or be distracting to the facts, I'd whip out some of those Ace Attorney gifs and get on with this analysis. If you look closely at the post right above the one linked in this bullet point, Mish calls out Cal for being suspicious of Midnight based on her tone in previous posts. Specifically, she said the following: And yet, one mistake later she's immediately voting for me. Looking at this purely from an analytical standpoint, yes I did screw up and yes it was a potentially compromising situation for Cal, but voting immediately instead of just posing the question and voting once a response (or lack thereof in my case, which I still apologize for) has been made. It just seems fishy imo... And that's pretty much it. Might not be much, and hell it might just be a hunch that I'm entirely wrong about, but the info is there for you all to do what you will with it. Well, let me answer your question with a snippet of this same post that sums up my feelings pretty well: This is more or less my issue with Tale to be honest. He's been less active than many of us would like, and even though I can't really be the spokesperson for active participation it would be helpful if more of his 32 posts in this thread were analysis. A lot of it has just been short posts to unvote or correct someone on a minor issue. Granted, the first instance was regarding a post that's also rubbed me the wrong way, but if Mish is a townie then calling her out on making the first vote would be a smart way to not only create a target but it would also give her an excuse to make a post of analysis and make herself seem like she's genuinely being a "useful asset" to the town. Her defense of Al and accusation of Midnight are also pretty sketchy, and like I said before there's only two ways for her to know Al's alignment for certain so early on. If she's not dead come tomorrow morning, she's a good potential target for the cop to check out later. Marushi ~ i will say that i'm not 100% certain about this one either, but unlike with Mish the wishy-washy vibe is throwing me off. With Mish my hunches are much smaller, but her bringing up the cop so much near the very end of the day is striking me as a reminder to mafia that Cal is still a suspect in the running for that role. Despite only joining a short while ago, her post count matches tale's (at 32) and is only surpassed by Blaine and Midnight. I've seen her in action in past games, hell she's one of the most memorable players to me from past games, and you know why? Her massive walls of analysis to rival Attack on Titan's actual, physical walls. There have been fewer of those this game, however, and though that may just come down to the fact that it's only Day 2, it's got me wondering. Why so many posts that are only two to three sentences in length? And why so many of them in such rapid succession? It's just got me kind of uneasy, not to mention pushing for Cal to reveal whether she's the cop. What was simply a passing remark (and potential mistake on my end) has become a full blown page of trying to correct her "mistake." So again, if anyone has anything they want me to elaborate or comment on just let me know. dear lord i spent over an hour on this... crazy

I had forgotten that yesterday was the 4th of July and I ran into some unexpected things to take care of earlier today as well. Yeah, I'll admit I should've kept my mouth shut. But even so, the odds that I'm right are 1/11. It's just that with how analytical Cal's posts have been up until now, her having absolute faith in anyone at this point is unsettling. I'll admit, I made a mistake. However, I feel like even without me spelling it out it would've been pretty clear that being mafia isn't the only way to know Al's alignment. My post was potentially compromising regardless... Though I will say that it's pretty early of you to throw down a vote when we have nearly two whole days left to discuss. It was also a bit odd for you to throw down the sixth vote for G-Dog and help us hit hard lynch early then. Wanting to get your vote in before the deadline is one thing, but when we'd already guaranteed ourselves the soft lynch at least it's pretty odd...
I have to agree with this post. @Calxiyn , you're being awfully defensive of Al in a game where roles are supposed to be kept secret. I'm tempted to believe you're either a cop who's investigated your friend or a mafia member who knows Al's alignment one way or the other. I could be wrong, of course, but that's just the vibe I'm getting from you as of now.
I'm thinking it might be the former. Krowley was pretty silent throughout, but when he got around to analyzing he was really thorough and could've easily been a threat. And if we're running on that train of thought, going back to look at his analysis would probably be helpful. Since people are also informing the general populous of the game about absences, I'll be slow to respond on Sunday since I'm headed to a local con for the day.

Ah okay, then let me just explain how to see the posts for people who want to. Go to THIS link, click on the blue number of replies in this thread and then click the blue number beside a user's name to see every post they've made in that thread. It's extra handy for viewing how many replies someone's made and what the content of those replies are. Might've just been the way you worded your first post, but you said all of her posts involved you. Having all posts from a certain point mention you makes sense given that people have been suspicious of you for a while. Though I will say that Mish's posts have kind of been bare bones on the whole, it's still day one and Midny and Cal have been doing most of the work. Hopefully day two will give us more things to discuss.

If it should be the case, I say we give the sub a fair chance. You guys did it with me, and it's only fair to judge a person's potential role based on their own actions, not the actions of the person who might've come before them. And yeah, if they're tied it'll essentially be down to a coin flip to decide.
I'll just say something to break up the flow and keep discussion going: Cal isn't voting for you solely because of your writing. Going between different languages is hard, we get that; maybe you could even try typing out your posts through a translator in Dutch first to avoid this confusion? Cal is also pointing something out: in the 15 posts prior to the one above, you haven't really done much analysis. Sure, everyone's entitled to talk about their gut instincts, but many of your posts are less than ten words and don't really say much. Hell, this is the post where you've said the most (here is Al's clarification for those who need it) and all you really did was go back over people's attempts to get going on day one. So I can see why she's voting for you. I have my own suspicions, but hers are justifiable given the content of your posts. Joking or not, it's a harsh accusation. Aside from that, the game thread is about playing the game. The more time we spend making one sentence posts calling someone a "racist" or pulling out seemingly half-formed defenses, the more time we give mafia to lay low and fly under the radar while we fight among ourselves and reply to one sentence responses. Like Makaze said, let's just get back to the game. It is the last in-game day after all, and we need to come to some sort of decision (whether that be one solid suspect or letting a coin flip or RNG decide one of two potential mafiosos).
Your first vote counts for the rest of the in-game day. Makaze already counted your vote for Midnight so you don't need to vote again for now.
Let me try my hand at interpreting it for you. He's just saying our suspicions are scattered and his only real lead so far, in his opinion, is you. Given the fact that it's day one, everyone is going to have their specific assumptions about what's "suspicious" and who they want to vote for. In the end, day one comes down to gauging player reactions. People who're absent or bandwagoning are going to be much more suspicious to me. We all have our opinions, but we'll see how our individual choices play out over the coming game days.
