Actually, the song that she sang vaguely references drugs - something about "doing a line in the bathroom". I know it's just a lyric, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were true.
As embarrassing as what she did is, I doubt it's the worst/most scandalous thing that has ever happened on the VMA's. This will all blow over and once the public find someone else to hate on, Miley will likely be able to bounce back and could have a successful career, as long as she makes the right choices. I'm gonna go ahead and dispute this. Not all tween stars fall horribly from grace. Fun fact: Ryan Gosling, Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera were all Mickey Mouse Club kids too and they are enjoying successful careers. Child stars can skip the 'rebellious' phase as long as they are given the right support and make the right choices.

idk if this is in the spirit of the thread, but I once got in trouble for having my own lunch money in my own desk at school. Context: in middle school here, we didn't have lockers or anything like that - the only way to store our things was to put them in this type of desk in our home rooms. So, picture me, a 10-11 year old kid, coming back to my home room and the first thing I see is my little kid purse sitting on my teacher's desk. Before I can think "hey that looks like mine", the teacher pulls me aside and yells at me in front of the class for having what must have amounted to like, £1. Apparently there had been some complaints leading up to that of people having their lunch money stolen out of their desks, so students had been told look in OTHER PEOPLE'S DESKS for any money lying around so that those ~terribly irresponsible~ children (me) could be made examples of. Talk about victim blaming amirite I am probably more annoyed about this than I should be but gfdi i did not deserve that public humilation ****in hated that teacher man
