There are two friends of mine who work at Fred Meyer, and by luck I ran into both of them on the same day when my mom and I were shopping about 10 minutes ago. With the first one, I just said "Hey, (Name)!" and he responded with "'Sup, buddy!" and I just realized that I like it when my friends and my dad call me buddy. I was talking to my mom about it, and she said it has to do with familiarity -- we're friends, and we know each other, or something like that. Share your thoughts on the subject in general or your own personal experienced. Discuss.

If animal shelters get full and people haven't come to reclaim their lost pets or adopt a pet that someone else abandoned, the solution is simple: Murder the poor animals (by putting them to sleep) and free up room that way. Logic! I hate humans! I can understand it if the animal has a severe illness, is suffering, and won't survive too much longer, anyway, but this I just cannot understand why it's ****ing legal to do.
Paulette uses it in Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits and Arc the Lad: End of Darkness, but I've never been able to figure out what to exactly call it (I've just used sling knife, ironically also the name of one of her special moves, in my project for the time being): It can be seen in action here from 5:22 until 5:30 and from 10:30 until 10:53 (critical):

I am going for all platinum relics here (as well as on The Huge Adventure, but I don't think I'll have too many problems there -- I already have all platinum relics for the first warp room), and there are just four levels getting in my way: Globe Trottin' Barrel Roll Rocks Can Roll Spaced Out For the first three, I can't even get the sapphire relics. Not so much the time limit, but I can't even make it to the end of the level. For the last one, I've managed 2:49:00 for the gold relic, but I had a hard enough time getting through the enemies for that time. Platinum relic requirements are 0:31:50, 1:07:00, 0:55:70, and 2:30:90, respectively.

I'm sure you guys remember my math thread in Gaming, and I just wanted to ask a simple question. In Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits, Cure restores 25% of your max health, Healing Rain 50%, Vital Energy 75%, and First Aid 35%. Let's use Maru's max health at level 56 for an example, which is 378. To figure out how they get the numbers, you do this: 378 * 25 / 100 = 94 378 * 35 / 100 = 132 378 * 50 / 100 = 189 378 * 75 / 100 = 283 Or if you just want to be lazy, for 25% and 50% you can just do 378 / 4 = 94 and 378 / 2 = 189. However, if you wanted to be lazy with 35% and 75%, what numbers would you use? Edit: This thread.

I've set a record in terms of uploads, but I'm close to setting one for updates. 2007: Eight updates and nine uploads. 2008: 45 updates and 259 uploads. 2009: 53 updates and 64 uploads. 2010: 58 updates and 450 uploads. 2011: 272 updates and 733 uploads. 2012: 271 updated and 770 uploads 2013: 216 updates and 465 uploads
When my computer locks up, particularly Firefox, when my computer is scanning, a video is processing, etc., which I still don't get the logic on why that happens, when something gets really stuck, like YouTube, while it's loading, the browser tab will close and a new browser window with the same page the browser tab had will open. Not trying to troubleshoot, just curious as to why this happens.
