I have come across a great epidemic. This has been pointed out before, but I don't think it was ever named. I call this theory: The What? Affect It states that whenever someone who uses high vocabulary and is generally deemed quite intelligent posts something on the internet. All the replies tend to try to be more smart and sophisticated than they usually are. The What? Affect is in affect on our forum, as pretty much whenever our own member for which the affect is named posts in a thread or is even mentioned, people try to act smart. In fact, even in this post, the What? Affect is in affect. I don't usually type things like this, but because What? was mentioned, I cannot help myself. Also, forgive me if I used the wrong "affect" I dunno if it's supposed to be affect or effect.
Sorry to Necrobump, but on Steam, Valve just realeased TF2 for the Mac, and is doing something called "Free Weekend" where I guess you get to demo the game this weekend for free. Also, it's half price this weekend, but before I buy it, I wanna try the demo. How do I do that?

Maybe Reptar can draw the stuff on paper, Nashida could edit it and make it more digitally-y, DP can help clean the stuff up and possibly color if needed, and Saki you can help with the story, if you'd like. A system like that would be cool. The basic story goes like this: They main character, a boy who I'm thinking of calling, like, Entire or something, is 9 and lives with his mother and father in a country called Naeon. (Naeon is kinda like a mix of Japan and America.) Naeon's government claims to be a democracy, but it is more like a dictatorship to it's own citizens. It's very secretive to other countries and so all the other countries of the world believe it to be a peaceful place. It's hard to move there legally, however.(just like it is with America.) One day, after the president of Naeon started awar with it's neighboring country, Salean, Entire's parents get drafted into the army. They refuse to go, however, and so the government sends soldiers to Entire's house. When Entire's parents still refuse to go to war, the soldiers are about to execute them on the spot, right in front of Entire. Entire is hiding in the shadows, and when the soildiers draw their guns, Entire yells out that he's going to save his parents. His father yells back, telling him not to, but he ignores him, and runs out of the room to keep the gun his father keeps (illegally) in a drawer in their kitchen. He gets back before the soldiers shoot his parents, and uses the gun to shoot both of the soldiers in their unprotected faces. Entire's parents are taken forcibly to gcourt, and given an unfair trial where they are sentenced to be executed for possession of a weapon and for murdering an officer. Entire is taken to see them executed, and on that day he vowes to overthrow Naeon's corrupt government, and then, the world. The rest of the series takes place when Naeon is 17, but that's like the first chapter, I think. You guys like it so far?

Cool, it' for the DS, a system I actually have. Still, though, is that one of the two new Kingdom Hearts games Nomura was talking about, or just a remake and the other two games are still a mystery? Even if it is part of it, that still means one more game with an original story! I just hope SE is going to be revealing another KH game at E3.
I've had a really good idea for a manga I would like to write lately. Only problem is, I'm not good at drawing manga. I mean, I can draw people and stuff, but only rough character designs. If you've read Death Note: How to Read 13, than you've read about how Ohba and Obata worked together, one creating rough storyboards, and the other drawing the actual work, the detail and stuff. I know, he had many helpers to do that, but this will be a mediocre manga anyway. What I'm getting at is that I want to create a manga with someone else. I would handle most of the story and rough character designs, but whoever I worked with would do most of the actual art. The manga's working title is Will be Mine, and it's about a boy who's parents are killed by the government. He then decides to conquer said government, take over the country, and later, the world. It takes place in a world very much like our own but with made up countries, and will have elements of dark humor among other things. If you're interested, I'd like to see some of your work. PM me with links to your Deviantart or wherevever your art is displayed, and if you have any questions, post in this thread, please. I will have a rough design of the main character up in this post soon, but I can't put it up just yet. At first, I thought it was a comic, and so I read it from left to right like twelve times before I realized "these" implied more than one, meaning...
This sounds like it could be good for someone like me, who never payed any attention toCoded at all because I figured I would never learn the story since it's for Japanese Mobile Phones, but now I can. I just hope that this isn't one of the two games Nomura was talking about. I want it to be two games with new stories, not just remakes. Can anyone confirm that both new games WILL have original stories?

I accuse Fayt on the grounds of having no evidence whatsoever but if Midnight Star passed on the DNs than I'm guessing she passed them on to someone with experience, someone who knows how to play this game.
