OOC: (Naw, s'okay, I'm having trouble with ideas myself) Kain was tired of waiting for Sin to unlock the darn door, so he used a warp spell to get back inside. Lightning struck where he was standing and he was gone, leaving nothing but a scorch mark.
Kain was standing there, just confused at why Sin would lock the door and leave him outside, when he heard footsteps approaching. ~Great~ he thought sulking, ~I'm gonna' get my butt kicked because of Sin's stupid no-reason spell!~ Kain just stood there, trying not to act scared.
Sin went out into the field Kain had scorched and revealed a good casting area with his "Find Pentacle" spell. Sin walked into the middle of the exact spot, held his hand up into the air, and as soon as he did, lightning struck the ground where he was standing, not effecting him of course, but turning the ground black under his feet and turning the pentacle into a bright fusia color. Sin waited for the right moment, then stabbed the ground with his clawed hand, setting off a chain reaction of lightning strikes all around him, using a Mystic Magic called "Lightning Nova", and when the spell was done, there were multiple scorch marks on the ground, plus many glowing fusia spheres, which Sin called back to him by raising his hand. Hoping he hadn't caused any attention grabbing, Sin "Switch Spell"-ed himself with Kain. Sin walked back into the house and took Lynx with him. Kain was wondering what was going on.
OOC: (K, thnx, I just edited it.) Kain watched calmly as Lynx repaired everything in the house and reinforced it so that it wouldn't break/explode so easily anymore. Kain then heard a knock at his door. Looking out the window, he saw the familiar neck length black hair and rectangular glasses of Sin. "Come on it," Kain said. Sin opened the door easily, his glasses glinting in the light. Name: Sin Age: 18 History: He wouldn't tell you if you tortured him. Appearance: Shoulder length black hair, red eyes, a chain sword sheathe, black zip up sleeveless sweater, black long sleeve tee shirt under sweater, black pants, black shoes, that's about it. Weapon: A katana and a six barreled gun and a Nekode, a glove with claws on it. Weapon appearance: Quite obvious for the katana and Nekode, but the six barreled pistol literally has six barrels, one in the middle and five around it. The pistol is as long as your ordinary Uzi. Weapon abilities: ??? Weapon add ons: None, except the keychain on the end of his gun. Sin looked around the house. Then his glaring eyes set their sights on Lynx. Sin glared daggers at him. Lynx looked not scared. "Man, you need to lighten up once in a while you know that?" Sin didn't reply, but only continued to glare at Lynx. "Why are you in my brother's house, duckbait?" Lynx flinched. Duckbait, that was rich. "Well, I have nowhere else to stay and I can't afford a room, so he let me stay here for a while." Sin scoffed and turned to Kain. "This house isn't normally this clean, Kain. Were you using spells?" Kain blushed and shifted his eyes from the door to the kitchen area. Sin just sighed and knocked Kain over the head with the back of his glove. "Idiot. You always try to attract attention to yourself."
Kain looked up and saw Lynx leaning in the shattered window. "Uh huh. I was wondering why that was so close." Kain got up and brushed himself off, the remaining effects of the lightning strikes leaving his clothes charred slightly. "Sorry, just testing." Kain said, putting his sword away on its sword rack. Lynx jumped in through the window and cast a repair spell, fixing the window. "Anymore shattered windows? Or is this it?" "More in the living room." Kain said, remembering he never had fixed the windows.
Kain was just about to test his sword's special technique when for some reason his arm shot up in the air and pushed him down away from sight of the window. Kain heard somebody go by and held his breath. But, without realizing it, he had accidentally activated another pentacle, and lightning shot the floor and busted his room window, red and blue streaks of magic shooting out like sparks and zapping the ground. Kain let it play out and waited for the spell to fade. It did, but he had caught some attention.
Kain grabbed his weapon and put it away in a closet, trying to act casual. Looking outside, he thought he had healed the ground. Apparently not. Then watching, Kain saw a water type trick that healed the ground. Kain thought to himself, ~Water magic? That's a rare type of magic if I have ever heard it. Maybe...~ Kain walked away from the window towards his room as to not seem suspicious. Kain figured he had better use his spells away from echoing areas from now on, and try to control the lightning strike into one point. Kain was getting tired of cleaning up messes, and he was also tired from using two spells in one day, somehow.
Kain looked around at the room. It was pitch black, spare the newly broken windows. Looking outside, he saw that he went a little overboard with the Mystic Judgment. Kain's eye twitched when he saw that he had made a huge scorch mark on the ground. Looking around, Kain decided now would be a good time to use Earth Regeneration, a type of white magic that reverses the effects of any damaging spell, white or black. The white pentacle reappeared, but this time when the lightning struck it, it turned green and the room went white and when the light cleared, Kain saw everything back in order. Even the outside field, but off in the distance, Kain saw somebody headed in his direction.
Hiro let Chronix try. The first time, Chronix failed, but the second time he succeeded, a golden cloud of light appearing in his hand and molding itself to look like the weapon Ora intended to make him. Chronix's eyes went wide. Theo, who had just walked in, also looked surprised. Then, Chronix remembered Ora and the sad thoughts filled his head again. The sword disappeared. "Hiro, if you think this changes anything, you're wrong. I'm not going to fight ever again. Not after what happened to my friend and my father... and all my other friends who I didn't even know." Hiro nodded, the black mask covering his lower face wrinkling as he did so. "I wasn't intending for you to fight. I was simply showing you... that your mother left you with a powerful gift, Chronix. You too, Theo." Hiro immediately began to grow darker and darker until finally he became pitch black and disappeared in a cloud of lightning. Chronix knew the trick well. Dark Exiting. It was almost like teleportation, but not completely as all the fibers in your body become a living portal that your being gets sucked through and when you come back out in your destinated area of choice, your fibers are so energized that you are left with a slight buzz of light headedness. Hiro was obviously looking for something to do, so Chronix didn't try to go looking for him. Theo looked down at Chronix and said "You know, you may think you have nothing to live for, but look around with your own eyes for once, Chronix. Not the ones that you made when you were a mercenary, not the ones that were made when Jack died, YOUR OWN EYES. See if anything around is worth fighting for. I'm sick and tired of hearing people say they have nothing to live for, well, I won't hear it from you. You have your older brother. You have Hiro. You have Sero's soul, Jack's soul, Ora's and Sin's souls, you have our mother's heart and soul, you have the honor of royalty, you even have, come on, you even have your own life to live for. Open up, I know you hate being shut out, let others help you if you need it most. Damn it, Chronix, quite acting like the world is over, get off your teary *** and get back in the fight like you once were fighting, only get back in the fight with something new to hope for. Get on with your life for once, please?" With that, Theo left, shutting the door behind him. Chronix looked at his hands. Theo was right, but he didn't know if he had any strength left. Chronix shut out all his thoughts and remembered the name of his new sword: ~Absolute Weapon~. The blade appeared in his hands, a golden sword surrounded by an intricate glass like design that twisted around the blade and ended in a sharp point. The handle was a pair of wings in the shape of a heart, and on the end of the blade was a keychain with his mother's pendant on it. Chronix got up and headed for the door. Throwing it open, he saw Theo turn around to face him, not smiling. "Okay. Now where'd I put my jacket down?" Chronix said. Theo began to smile. "We're going to fight this out... Together. If we don't win, at least we fought with something to hope for." Chronix said, smiling gently at Theo. Theo was now smiling. Chronix had finally dumped his stubborn and locked up inside attitude and was now beginning to let people in. Theo knew Chronix had done the right thing. "Well," Theo said, his new sword also appearing in his hand, "We don't want to be late, now do we? I don't like keeping our guests waiting." Hiro jumped down behind Chronix, sword in hand. "What are we still standing around for? We'd better hurry, unless we want to... miss the dance." Hiro said, an obvious smile appearing behind his mask. OOC: ("Miss the Dance" is a phrase I made up that means miss out on all the action, including fighting and riots. By the way, when I said Chronix would occasionally sprout a wing when fighting, I was referring EXACTLY to the fact about Chronix stating that he was Half-Angel. And these new weapons were supposed to have been made by Ora, but he died in the fight at Flounder, so now Chronix and Theo had to make them purely out of the names of the weapons in their heads. It's a little trick I like to call "Soul Forge", a type of weapon making that only activates when you think of a weapon's name.)
Kain tested out his sword while Lynx was out doing something. The first thing Kain did was make sure he could still use Judgment. Stabbing the sword into the ground, the halo over the end of the blade spread out over the floor, and strange magic like incantations surrounding a magic pentacle with a very intricate pattern on it appeared in the ring. Lightning strikes appeared everywhere until one finally hit the pentacle, which turned into a white ring of magic. Kain put his sword up to his face, blade facing outwards, and he used the Mystic Judgment called Holy Judicate. Everything turned bright white for a while, then streams of red, blue, green, yellow, purple and orange surrounded Kain, and he pulled himself into a ball levitating in the air and then released all the energy surrounding him by uncurling himself into his full height. Everything turned bright white, and when the light died down, Kain was standing in a charred black room. "Good. Now, let's get to work on all the other Magic Spells I know."
Hiro walked around Chronix's house distastefully. "I thought you said you were doing important work. If you are, where's the important work stuff? And didn't you have a computer?" "I already found out about myself. Apparently I'm Half-Angel. Theo's human. I'm not." Hiro smirked. "Well, I'm half Dark realmer, you don't hear ME complaining." It was true. The Dark Realm was where Hiro was born, but Hiro was shot through a Nexus and brought up in a human family, but soon after he killed them, he found out about his Dark powers and realized he was a Dark Realmer. "And besides," Hiro said, suddenly agitated, "you should be honored that you have such a gift. It may serve you well." Hiro pulled out his wings and flexed them before pulling them back in. A dark sphere appeared in Hiro's hand, and it looked like it was made out of some weird liquid the way it rippled slightly. Then it morphed and stretched into Hiro's sword. Hiro swung his sword once before it disintegrated into the air. Turning around, Hiro saw Chronix attempting to summon his new weapon. Failing, but he was trying. "No, like this." Hiro put out his hand and closed his eyes. Chronix had no idea how he was hearing it, but all of Hiro's thoughts and memories shot into his head as clear as a bell. Then, Hiro shut out everything and thought quietly ~Soul Trap~. Then his sword reappeared and disappeared after three seconds. Chronix was impressed.
OOC: (Well, let's just say he was about ten years old when he murdered his own family. And hey, those wings are part of his outfit, they're bionic. He likes the idea of "Black Angels", so he has a copycat outfit. And how about this: He was in Chronix's league of assassins before Chronix left for the mercenary work. That good enough?) Chronix already knew the person's name, Hiro and him were in the same league before Chronix left. So Chronix knew him well. "What business? I'm retired now." Chronix said, beginning to close the door. Hiro caught it. there was some wood chips that stuck to Hiro's black leather glove. "I'm thinking I might need your help." "I said I'm RETIRED, Hiro." Chronix now completely closed the door.
Kain pulled out his sword and began cleaning it. It had been... what, eight years since his last adventure? Kain sighed. "And it's times like these that I think life is boring." Kain said to himself.
Kain went back into his house and showed Lynx around, since Lynx had nowhere to stay and couldn't afford a room at the inn. "Just make sure not to bump anything," Kain said after he had rammed purposefully into the side of a cabinet and knocked off a good china himself. Lynx touched a cup on the able and for some reason it exploded. "Didn't I just say not to bump anything?" Kain said over his shoulder. "I just touched it!" Lynx said indignantly. Kain rolled his eyes. "Yeah, SURE you did."
OOC: (Sorry about this sudden added character, and sorry for not PMing you, this is the last guy for me.) Hiro flew up over the countryside, surveying the area. It looked awful, all the towns in this area were in flames, even his home town, Geo City, which he had just disintegrated. Hiro didn't care though. He had seen enough of life to know it was much worse then what he was seeing right now. Hiro thought back of his family. What was it now, eight years since their assassination? Hiro was responsible for that. He was a hired assassin, and he made sure the job got done, one way or another. His current hire required him to kill the Geo Turks of Geo City, and he had done so when he had disintegrated the entire city. Hiro flew towards Jack's grave and alighted gently in front of it. It was marked by a large sword, easily recognizable as Chronix Gear's blade. Hiro saw the picture of Jack and wondered if Jack was Chronix's father. Then, a little ways off, he saw a house with people in front of it. Hiro jumped in the air and flew over to the roof of the house, alighting on it and making thumping sound with his foot that caused Chronix from the inside to look up and everybody else to look up as well. "If he kid doesn't want you here, why are you bothering him?" Hiro asked with the same tone of voice Chronix would use. He sounded slightly Australian with a semi-English accent. The people in front of the door were strange to him. They looked like normal business people, but the one in the very back he had never seen before looked like a magician of some sort. Then he realized it was Prince Theo accompanied by his businessmen like guards. Chronix finally got up and answered the door and was surprised to see Theo, but even more surprised to see the black armored assassin drop down from his rooftop. "I won't say my name, if that's what you want. But I will state my business."
Lynx punched himself in the chest and coughed up some smoke. He had told Kain he was a fire eater, but Kain hadn't believed him. Kain was impressed. He could fly, but he couldn't eat fire worth ****.
OOC: (A new guy come in, but he's the only new guy I'm posting, and the Geo Turks are already gone and so is Sero, so this guy is going to take Jack's place. This guy stays for the remainder of the RP as Jack and Chronix's temporary replacement, then he becomes just another hero later.) A young man walked through the city calmly, as if there wasn't a war going on. His name was Hiro. Hiro Yuuske Age: 18 Weapon:http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f106/psykoducky/more_swords_hohoho_by_Wen_M.jpg It's the one called Soul Trap Appearance:http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d45/Jadefox88/angels/Darkguy.jpg Just don't pay any attention to the sword. History: He doesn't have a last name, his name is literally his first and middle name. Hiro smirked at the oncoming lizardmen and threw out his sword, which grew dark with negative energy, and he swung his arm verticularly and a dark energy disc came flying out of his sword, slicing each and every lizardman in half. Hiro held up his hand and a dark bubble surrounded him, blocking off any attacks he received. Hiro smirked and pulled out his bionic wings and flew into the air, calling up a dark bomb as he did so, and threw it down on the city Along with the lizardmen, most of the city disintegrated. Hiro alighted gently to the ground and looked around the now cleared out landscape. Everything had turned to glass. Hiro walked along like nothing had happened.
Theo rode back into Geo city. He didn't care much about anything now that his home was in flames. Looks like all he had now was Chronix.
Upon entering Thero city, Theo cursed out loud at the top of his lungs when he saw the city in flames. These lizardmen had been everywhere! Theo turned around angrily and headed back towards Geo City. Chronix had stopped in a town called Valgonia, and he decided to cut his hair off to his shoulders so that nobody would recognize him. Chronix went into a house buying company shop and used his money to buy a small house with one room. Chronix had it built over on the hillside and moved himself in. The furniture had already been placed the way he said, so he sat down and put his head down and pulled his knees up. He was never going to fight again. Nor was he going to let anybody find him. A nomad. Chronix had decided to become a nomad from now on. Chronix just sat there and began to sleep when he heard knocking at his door. Chronix refused to go and answer the door, so he had to live with the constant knocking and it was annoying him out of his head. Chronix still did not want to answer the door, so he yelled at the person to go away. The person didn't listen, but said "Look, it's Theo, open the door Chronix." Theo didn't sound like that. "You are not, now get out of here." Chronix looked out the window and was right. It wasn't Theo. It was somebody else who had white hair. But he didn't recognize the person. Nor was he about to try. Chronix instead locked the door and went back and sat down.
