Something to do with cookies. Possibly related to an oral fixation or attempt to fulfill some internet archetype revolving around the perception of being adorable and sweet.

I jumped the wording on that one. I meant that we don't all grow up right away.

Fad also function within a continuum. It's not necessarily that they die out and vanish, especially if they're particularly strong. They often phase out and become less focal compared to the mainstream or dominant fad.

To begin, I have a life .I started out only in intelligent discussion. Eventually I got bored of all the creationist/evolution arguments and vanished for a few months. I returned one glorious day to deliver this site into the arms of my loving father, and once again contributed to intelligent debates, as well as spamming and cracking jokes at the vast amounts of failure. I then left for another few months, and have just recently returned to bathe all in my glorious light and wisdom. Like the cycle of death and life I leave and return to point out and pass judgment on the idiocy throughout this tiny nook in cyberspace...and sometimes, when I'm really, really drunk, I judge people here based on the pictures they submit.

It's a sub-cultural fad. Eventually people will grow up or find something else to occupy their pop-culture fix.

I have recently found a long lost beat 'em up that used to be close to my heart at the arcade all those years ago, and since a number of people here are familiar with emulation I was wondering if there are any good tips on what to search. The game I am talking about is Dungeons and Dragons: Shadow Over Mysteria. I'm not sure if anyone has heard of it, but it's by Capcom and a port was made to the Sega Saturn. I guess what I'm really asking is if anyone might know of a reliable Sega Saturn emulator and point me in the direction of said emulator ( by PM if someone should ramble about piracy or whatnot). Any and all help would be wonderful, as it would bring me closer to completion.

    Peace

Well that's just one side of the coin. There could always be peace at any moment. it may be naive to think like that, but then again it's the same to think that war will end up ravaging the planet and ending all that we know. True peace or harmony is simply impossible, but there are amazing shades of gray in between.

    a coma!

Well I wouldn't go so far as to imagine that people all over the world are lapsing in and out of comas a few times per year. It's not healthy from the brain to be constantly slowing down and then booting back up again. If anything, the longer the coma the more detrimental it is to the person's mental health. Connections in the brain remain strong through repeated activation, and if they are activated for a long time they lose those connections.

    Peace

Because we're all different, and we're not all going to understand from one single, unified perspective. The ironic part is that either side always likes to think of themselves as the heroes in a war and that the other is a bloodthirsty evil. Compare CNN and Al Jazeera t.v. broadcasts and try to make out who's "good" and who's "bad".

Well if you want to avoid a hang over start kicking back glasses of water/Gatorade/Powerade. There isn't anything specific for preventing you from laughing or looking like a jackass, but either of those three will keep you from getting dehydrated and keep you going.

    Peace

Well by that logic, war is just preparing for peace. Peace really is a period of harmony and understanding between the parties involved, at least for those that want it. If you're scheming and plotting, or paranoid about the opposing side during peaceful times, your paranoia may force the hand of the other side and give them the impression that you never wanted peace to begin with. It's a half empty or half full deal.

    a coma!

A coma is thought to be a global slowing of the cortical and in certain cases lower brain functions like respiration. The the sparse areas that are often weakly activated appear to be in the sensory areas, and EEG scans have sometimes found REM activity. Seeing as some comatose patients awaken as if they had simply fallen asleep and report vivid aspects of dreams, it's highly likely that we can dream in comatose. But this is obviously not the same for everyone. To some it's as if a dreamless wink had passed.

Maybe therapy first. You should tell your mom that if she's really concerned that she shouldn't just throw you away like trash...unless she's into that. I'm sure you'll see the silver lining if granted 1 hour a week to talk with a professional.
