Andrew listened closely. His explanation didn't really answer his questions, but it was good enough. "Sir, how old are you?" asked Andrew straight out, not wanting to deal with manners and pleasantries. He wanted some answers. He wanted to know that these kids would be safe with Jo around and for a day or two in this place.
"Welp, looks like she made her choice, Phillip, now get out before I take out the thorns," she threatened casually while putting on some gloves. Assuming that all guys have already scurried out of the kitchen, Rosie wasted no time undressing Nikki's top. She also took off any bandaging done. "Nikki, do you think there's a problem with your spine or neck? I'd like to turn you over to get a good look at your back, but..." told Rosie. They would have to stabilize her and move her carefully, and that all seemed like such a hassle and Rosie would really rather avoid doing all that and get down to the real problem. Uh no. If you truly cared, you'd care about all the little details and nuances too, if you were truly a doctor. she scolded herself. "Nevermind, pointless question. Misa, help me move her steadily. You hold her head and I'll move the body and on my mark, you move her head in sync. Ready? 1, 2, 3!" she ordered. Rosie slowly turned Nikki's body to the side. "Okay, we'll just keep you like that for now and then we might risk turning you completely on your stomach later. Now let's see here..." Rosie looked at the wound where the icicle had pierced through near her right shoulder. "You know, under normal circumstances I would be pissed that Phillip ripped that thing out of you, as a normal wound would've bled even more. But since this is the icicle of an ice minion, it was probably for the better to get the thing with poison out. Now you said it numbed your whole arm? Must be something blocking your nerves...maybe we could use that stuff as an anesthetic? Uh nevermind..." muttered Rosie as she slowly poked the wound. She ignored any sort of screaming of pain from Nikki as she further investigated. Rosie was now in curious doctor mode. And that can be a scary thing sometimes. Especially since she's never been trained to be one. "So Nikki, has the numbness been spreading lately? Or has it stopped?"
"You knew she was a fire affinity. Yet you cared for her. And didn't discriminate against her," said Andrew in surprise and wonder. "Why?" he questioned, "You knew she was no doubt a great danger to you and everyone else." This man sure was something if he was genuine. Recalling that he had said something about a book, Andrew asked him about it. "Am I allowed to see this book?" Maybe the book would be able to tell him more about Jo and see what was up with her. Perhaps there was something more to the firehead than blowing up and being a warhawk.
Oh please don't turn this into the battle theme song thread. It takes me a whole day to go through all the songs posted. Also Nobody, you take Latin?
Lols? I really don't think my writing's that amazing as his. XD And no problem Seesamaru.
I don't get it.
Fine here you go. http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd126/Firekeyblade/057.jpg
Wo bu zhi dao ni men shuo shen me?
Good old Johnny Wander. Also, can you guys seriously understand all those languages? Geez, I have enough trouble with Chinese and even sightreading latin is a bit of chore. Memory's not so great.
Andrew walked into town along with all the others with an apathetic look on his face. Stay calm, act natural and nothing bad will happen. He wondered why they didn't come in waves as agreed, but didn't worry about it too much. Their party wasn't all that large anyway sort of. Of course he had noticed the strange looks, like everyone else had, but it looked to be a majority of them were directed at Jo. Has she really not changed her appearance since then? he thought raising an eyebrow while studying Jo's appearance. It was then Haley brought up the issue of money. Andrew froze, his eyes wide as he had completely forgotten about that part. Luckily, Ulrich could think fast as he started shouting at him about being lost and having no map. "Um excuse me? We do too have a m-" he retorted before being interrupted by Ariana also shouting at him. Andrew's eyes narrowed as he wondered what was going on before he finally saw what Ulrich was trying to do. Relaxing again, Andrew gave a sad shrug. "Well what can I say? We didn't even have enough change for a map. And now we don't have a place to stay. Oh how sad," he said playing along with Ulrich. It was then that a huge massive man of a bartender came out of the local inn next to them like a god out of a machine. Somehow he knew Jo and offered them to stay at the inn. "How kind of you," remarked Andrew both grateful and a little suspicious. Jo had said there shouldn't have been anyone that would recognize her in her hometown. While he puzzled over this, he didn't pay much attention to whatever was going on with Ulrich, some lady and Jo and once again, Jo went off by herself. For Christ's sake can't you just stay put? thought Andrew annoyed again. He also did not notice that Jellal somehow had enough cash on him to get a room. Maybe he took some off some of the soldiers from earlier...well maybe not. His fire's probably hot enough to burn it unintentionally. Jo's too. Freaking cooking my earth... scowled Andrew. however, he got over it before being enraged again and noticed just in time to see Ulrich collapsing for whatever reason. But he noticed too late Caeli coming over to help. "N-!" Andrew shouted with his hand outreached to try and stop him. Unfortunately, he was too late and Caeli had already taken care of Ulrich. Andrew facepalmed with annoyance. Greeeaaaat. The bet was lost. To some stupid kid andyouknowwhat? I bet Ulrich would've been just fine anyway without the help of healing magic. While he fell into a deep state of despair preparing for the onslaught of the people, to his great surprise, the bartender quickly covered for them. "Wha-...who are you really?" he asked as he followed him in with Ulrich on his shoulder. Through all this Andrew also lost track of Ariana, but that didn't matter much now.
Dawwww....... Anyway, whatever happened to the two of you? I thought you two (Forte and Makaze) were good moirails. With feelings jams and whatnot.
I see you "The Woman From the Sea". And awwww......contest closed? ;_; But I just finished mine...can I post it anyway just for the sake of displaying it? I guess her name will be Sui. Because I'm so Asian. Spoiler
One of the most adorable members on the forum, and is not, unfortunately, as innocent as I once thought. TT_TT I have failed as a protector, but from what I know, he is also very kind. And I didn't really help with that, it was more Kintaro helping you with that really. I only know some Chinese.
Pen? What pen? I'm confused but all right.
Makes me feel like the last person to be picked for kickball.
A fine RPer and a physics genius. I am jealous of her smartitude.
Question. Do Exiles also need to use pesterchum?
Shortly after Rosie had once again told her fellow cadets to eat, the missing party burst in through the doors with a very sickly looking Nikki in tow. Having had a bad feeling before, when she was setting up dinner, Rosie had already prepared everything she needed to be the resident makeshift "doctor". Staying calm, she led the group back into the kitchen where a small cot was already set up beside the stove. "All right. What happened and what'd you guys do thus far?" she questioned the group. "Everyone else not specially involved, and for the most part fine, go and eat dinner. All other stay here and fill me in. Misa, if you can, I require your natural gift," ordered Rosie, rolling up her sleeves and preparing to undress Nikki. She suddenly halted and looked around at the group. "Uh right...guys just go outside and tell me from there," edited Rosie blushing. Whoops. Turning back to Nikki, she put her hand on her cheek and neck, checking her pulse and said gently, "Nikki, are you lucid? Hey, it's all going to be all right. We'll try to fix you right up. Just bear with me."
Uhhh......that's great and fantastic? DUDE. Vienna sausages are the best.
"Welp, go ahead and dig in like our other fellow cadet. And I don't like to discourage you guys from eating more, but try not to have seconds too much, since the others are probably going to arrive at some point or other. I have faith in the one I requested to go and see what's up," nodded Rosie to herself in agreement. She indicated with her hand the food once more for the two other girls to eat. Rosie wasn't really that strict with manners and such. After being away from her household, it still felt nice to just be free of those sorts of restrictions. But of course she would not take any sort of malicious behavior, be it with words or otherwise.
