First of all, I agree with Misty, the stock takes up too much space, and kills flow and depth, I don´t know what to bring my attention here. Effects are good, but the FG it´s quite bland apart from the C4D fx, text could use some work.

As for the darkening it up, brush in black with a soft brush on a new layer where it´s extremely bright, set it to Soft Light or Overlay and play with the opacity xD. I think that could work >_>;.

It´s not too bad, but not too good either ;D.
