It definitely got the DMC treatment, I think. Though it doesn't help that Trank is allegedly an unreliable and erratic director. I still plan on seeing it, though I missed my chance so I'm not sure when I'll have time this week. Judging by all of the reviews I've read so far, though, the ones that explicitly mention examples in the film, I already have my problems with the direction they went. I'm disappointed with it already and I haven't seen it, but I'll save my official opinion until after I see it.

It's leaked so quality isn't great. The quality of the actual video isn't horrible, actually. One of the better leaks, I've seen, but almost half of it is cut off. Audio's not bad at all, though. Might end up seeing an official one soon since that's what usually happens (though not with Fox).

When I first started at my current job, as I was clocking out, a coworker saw my Deadpool wallet and asked who that was. Me: "Like, what's his name and what he does or who is he in detail in comic books?" Him: "In detail. What's his story?" Me: "Oh, we don't have that kind of time. I have to get home."
My old roommate was part of something (Nerdfighter, I think?) and they left messages to each other in specific books in the college library. I don't think they had any idea who they were talking to.
A little weird that they cut out Negasonic Teenage Warhead's scene from the trailer, but it was still enjoyable. This, plus the "trailer trailer" and the Deadpool scene from the last Fantastic Four video just keeps hyping me up.

I thought about making a new thread for this with the leaked trailer, but wasn't sure if the language would be appropriate. I'm really curious to see the amount of fourth-wall breaking. The trailer had a couple of good lines (Wilson asking not to make his supersuit green or animated, telling the camera that Negasonic Teenage Warhead had a cool name, and "cue the music"). He's not as disfigured as I expected him to be, but that seems like it'll be played for laughs (my two favorite lines of the trailer involved his appearance). Oh, the test footage has been adapted into the film! There are a couple of things that I wasn't too hyped about: Namely the sheer amount of profanity (as someone who enjoys an obscene amount of it, I hope the movie has some diversification when it comes to exclamations) and a couple of comments that have been taken in a homophobic way. Still curious to see what kind of role Colossus has in it. Holy ****. I forgot about this post. This was actually semi-true back then haha
This thread breaks my heart.
I tried to join a forum the other day, but the username "LilBueno" was already taken Which, it almost never is. So on a whim, I tried logging in with that username and one of my passwords. It worked. I joined that forum a year and a half ago. Evidently, I signed up and then never returned. Until now, of course. I don't know; that was a weird experience.
This is the issue I have with it. Yeah, it's terrible and should not have happened at all, but from what I've read (Disclaimer: I have not followed this story extensively), he did everything legally that he thought he had to do. He didn't think "I'm going to kill that lion everybody loves just because I love to kill." He wanted to go hunting and these kinds of hunts tend to be orchestrated legally for a reason. Should it have happened? No, not at all. But I'm not going to fault the guy for doing a legal hobby the legal way and not being informed about what exactly he was doing. Whether or not I agree with the hobby is irrelevant, but for this guy to get this backlash over it and face a possible trial (I read his guide is definitely getting tried in Zimbabwe) is stupid. Now, if it was intentional (i.e., he knew who he was killing and either didn't care or that was why he wanted that specific one), that changes my view entirely. From what I've read so far, though, that wasn't the case. If anyone is wishing harm on the guy for that, they're just as bad if not worse. The evidence for his ill intent in this tragedy is there, but it's not proof. I'm going to wait to see whether or not the legitimacy of his claims vis-a-vis the legality gets confirmed before condemning him. As it stands right now, though, all of the blame should land squarely on the guides.
