-I doubt she'll be an Inhuman since the AoS S2 finale feels too recent for Jones to have gained powers and retired in that amount of time. Plus, I feel like Marvel would make it more of a mystery of her figuring out what she is and AoS is, as of yet, staying away from the Defenders.

-I hope so! The chances of her and Peter Parker being classmates are extremely low, but maybe there'll be a mention about her "old high school" or she'll visit a school and there's a reference to Spider-Man's "urban legend" by the students or something.

Part 2 of Marvel's/Netflix's Defenders series:

    Main Cast
    • Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones - A former superhero suffering from PTSD who opens her own detective agencies, Alias Investigations. Jeph Loeb has described her as "based on a much more adult comic. The source material came that way. She has real problems with a number of things that she abuses! And we're not shying away from that. There's no tidying her up!" Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg says that Jones is much different than Daredevil and is just trying to pay rent, get the next client, and move on with her day as opposed to saving the city. She's "a brawler. She gets drunk, she gets pissed off and boom, you're down. She doesn't wear a costume. She doesn't have a mask. She's just who she is. She's an extremely blunt, direct person, and that applies to the action as well."
    • David Tennant as Kilgrave - A man from Jones' past whose reappearance shakes up her life. He's been compared to Fisk from Daredevil where sometimes you rooted for Matt Murdock, other times for Fisk, it'll be similar with Jessica and Kilgrave
    • Mike Colter as Luke Cage - A man with superhuman strength, unbreakable skin, and a mysterious past that Jones encounters in the course of an investigation who changes her life immensely. A "neighbourhood hero, very much linked to New York and Jessica Jones... darker, grittier, more tangible character than Iron Man or Thor.... He has these abilities, but he's not sure how and when to use them."
    • Rachael Taylor as Trish "Patsy" Walker - A former model and child star who is Jones's best friend and now works as a radio host.
    • Carrie-Anne Moss as Harper - An authoritative person and potentially powerful ally to Jones.
Recurring cast includes Eka Darville as Malcome, Jones's neighbor with a personal journey intertwining with hers; Erin Moriarty as Hope, a client of Alias Investigations; and Wil Traval as an NYPD officer who's very serious about his job. Rosario Dawson will reprise her role from Daredevil as Claire Temple in a guest role.

All episodes will be released on Netflix on November 20th.

It's not really related to the movie, but to the source material, but Boom! Studios has partnered with Saban to do six one-page comic issues based on MMPR.
The timing of it makes me wonder if it'll tie into the film, but I doubt it.

    This post gets it~

I almost tried this once before with a merging of worlds, but there was one tidbit that annoyed me: does the population double? Are there two Presidents of the US, etc.?

Regardless, I'll start working on this soon. If anyone is definitely interested in being a Big Hero (Justice League/Avenger level), I'd like to know who right off the bat and collab with you.

Sometimes, I really want to fire people from my life

then I remember murder is generally frowned upon.

We have a kid at work, 17-19 years old, who just can't focus. I legitimately thing he has ADD or even possibly Asberger's, but we don't have it documented anywhere if that's so. Once a week, he shows up almost an hour late because he thought that was the time he came in. Virtually every other day, he calls in to see what time he works that day (even if he's not working!). He can't focus when talking to customers and doesn't prioritize. If coworkers are having a conversation, he will actually walk away from a customer to join in.

He's a smart kid but it is not the industry for him. And almost every time something happens, it's during my shift. Last week, my mom was admitted to the hospital. I had to stay an extra forty minutes at work trying to get a hold of him, because he thought someone took his shift despite never actually having the conversation where the other person said they'll take it. So I started class this week -online after almost two years away from school- and had to work two doubles, yesterday and today, because someone else got fired for not showing up. I was in charge today and my boss said it was okay if I kept my laptop in the back and worked during slow times as long as the other two were okay since those doubles took a huge chunk out of my studying time (and it's a forty minute drive TO work). The other two were supposed to arrive at four and when Unreliable Kid didn't show up, I couldn't get a hold of him. He shows up ten till five and asks if he has time to get a sandwich. It came off more rude than I wanted, but my response was "No, you were supposed to be here an hour ago. Clock in." I then had to have a very serious talk with him about how it's the last chance. Any more and he's gone without question. Of course, since I had to cover him while doing my shift lead stuff for an hour, I didn't get inventory done (which my GM said it was alright and that I should get some sleep; he has time in the morning) and I didn't get home with enough time to finish my FIRST assignment before the deadline.

So...ten percent off the assignment. It's not HUGE, but going back to school was so important to me and between that, trying to write a book, opening a restaurant, taking care of my mom, wanting to get married and get our own place before opening a new restaurant to manage over early next year, and work, I picked the wrong week to quit smoking.

And we ****ing lost to Florida for the eleventh consecutive year BY ONE POINT.

    Which sounds more interesting:
An original universe that's an amalgam of most superhero universes (A singular Marvel/DC world for example) where all characters always existed in the same universe

    or

A universe created from most superhero universes merging into a single one and now the Avengers and Justice League have to exist side-by-side?

I'm leaning towards the former, but that really depends on whether or not I get enough people committed and choosing characters before it starts -so we can build the world around the chosen characters- or people choosing characters the world itself is created.

Yeah, after posting them, I decided against that idea. It'd be more complicated than needed to be.
I think it would be an amazing achievement to have something like that. Regardless, it's not something to attempt until we get quite into the story.[DOUBLEPOST=1443160191][/DOUBLEPOST]EDIT: Here's what I have so far.

If "space" is where and "time" is when, then "infinity" is all. There is a never-ending number of universes inside Infinity, held apart by dimensional barriers. Many of these universes are parallel versions of each other, alternate copies of the same people, places, and even history. Each universe has its own laws of physics, magic, divinity, and reality; as far as its inhabitants are concerned, their universe is infinity. However, the real Infinity is bigger, holding all that is, was, and ever will be as well as the dimensional barriers that divide them. Travel between universes is not impossible, but dependent on the universes themselves.

Unless you are from Crux, of course.

Crux is a planet with no alternate version. It is completely unique. Its trademark characteristic is its malleable nature. Existing outside of space and time itself, but at the very center of Infinity, those born on Crux have the strange genetic ability to exist in any universe within Infinity. Unlike the other universes, the planet of Crux is completely aware of Infinity and the other universes; they are able to monitor other universes and copy their physics and technology. Cruxian scientists have long since discovered how to take abilities native to one universe and copy into Crux itself. The creation of "Crossover Medals" even allows average Cruxians to temporarily "wear" the abilities, powers, equipment, and nature of anyone from any universe. The use of Crossover Medals, however, is very regulated.

Because of its nature, the citizens of Crux have tasked themselves with defending Infinity from cross-dimensional threats -those that would endanger the fabric of reality and the peace between universes. To that end, the Reality Defender Brigade was assembled. Using government-issued Crossover Medals, the RDB is tasked with traveling between universes and preventing them from learning Infinity's true nature, as well as defending them from outside threats.

I think I'll make the rule a little less specific about where the character comes from. It doesn't have to be exactly like Superhero from That Show, but maybe a comment about what you're basing the portrayal from?
I guess the easier way of describing it is just pick whatever hero/villain you want and put the relevant details in the bio, or comment which version you like best. Does that make sense?

Thanks! I had an idea for this before, but couldn't figure out how to do it. For some reason, building the world AFTER I know which heroes will inhabit it just came to me. I think it'd be interesting seeing a Justice League/Avengers team with something like Spider-Man from the 90s show, Christian Bale's Batman, Grant Gustin's Flash, Robin from the Teen Titans series, RDJ's Iron Man, etc. Even a hero from a non-Marvel/DC property (Hellboy, etc.) would be interesting!

"Bueno, don't you ever get tired of trying superhero RPs?"
    ...No, not really.

ANYWAY, I was thinking of semi-collab RP with superheroes from different media. What I mean is, before the RP gets made, RPers will pick which superhero they want to portray. There doesn't need to be an in-depth knowledge of said hero (though that's always preferred), but a decent knowledge of any of the hero -or any other character for that matter- from any specific media. You could pick Spider-Man from the 90s show, or the Sam Raimi films, the Ultimate animated series (ugh), or Andrew Garfield's version, or even an actual comic book version, etc. Marvel Film's Iron Man, or one from the animated series. Christian Bale's Batman, George Clooney's, the 90s animated series', or whatever. It won't be that universe's exact version, but that'll be the nature of the character and part of the history. All characters will be native to the RP's world, which will be built around whichever characters get chosen as the "main team" (think Avengers/Justice League). Of course, this will allow some playing around (maybe a young Spider-Man is Batman's sidekick for whatever reason instead or Robin if the two RPers agree on that). There will be a one version only rule (No, you can't be Oliver Queen from Arrow and someone else as Smallville's much hotter version), but there may be some...flexibility (Arrow's season 3 Oliver Queen hasn't gone by Green Arrow yet, while Smallville's was known as Green Arrow from the beginning. Hmm, ideas.) If anyone is interested, I'll need help building the thread (and the setting, obviously) but to do that, I'll need characters!

    Thoughts?

Awesome! It looks like there's at least some interest. The way I'm imagining it at the moment is that there's some object -which I'm tentatively calling a "Crossover Medal"- that houses the abilities/powers/equipment of a certain person and, when activated, allows its user to "wear" said abilities/powers/equipment. It'll function in a way that keeps the RP somewhat fair (Looking for a way to limit Superman-like powers, for example) and lets the users adopt the "physics" of whichever universe from which its borrowing power. Using a ninja from Naruto or a Soul Reaper from Bleach will let someone harness chakra and reishi, respectively, or a Saiyan from Dragon Ball will use chi, etc. regardless of which world they're currently on.
I think, I'll come up with the first list of worlds to visit depending on which characters people decide to "wear." Then start coming up with new ones. Everyone's OC will start out with one or two Medals, tops, but will be able to gain more as we visit worlds. I think at some point, I'll institute a max (five or six?), but let people trade them out between missions a la a Pokemon storage system.
I'm also thinking about letting people permanently play as non-OCs and actual canon characters. Maybe they'll get recruited into the mission and be able to obtain their own Medals? An idea I'm playing with -if I go with that- is that OCs have to wear a specific character's powers, but a canon character can maybe come up with original powers based on the universe ze's borrowing from? So my OC can wear Ichigo Kurosaki's powers and weapon from Bleach, but if I claim Ichigo, he can come up with his own ninjutsu and stuff from Naruto. However, that sounds a bit more complicated.
The other issue I was wondering about was a setting: I'm currently trying to decide between the cliche academy setting (students training to be "reality defenders" get chosen to travel and stop the threat) or a kind of military corps setting (actual officers/soldiers enlisting to stop the threat). That's more of a jumping off point than any huge plot, but it'll decide on what the threat is, exactly. There's even an in-between option (the academy trains students to be in the corps). What would you guys prefer?[DOUBLEPOST=1443059084][/DOUBLEPOST]EDIT: One thing I meant to mention earlier, I think it would be a cool idea -after obtaining the right permissions of course- to even crossover into another RP's world. It might not happen as we'd either have to have both sets of RPers together or "borrow" their characters (which I'm leaning against, honestly), but it'd be something to consider.
