Whoever decided to have that LED flash on by default is an *******. Holy ****, that thing is terrifying.

Eh. If someone is insensitive about someone else's belief, then I think they deserve the same treatment especially when it's someone coming from a religious standpoint. Do to others as you want them to do to you; so insensitivity towards ones belief will be rewarded towards insensitivity towards your own. It's a vicious circle, true, but I'm not turning the other cheek. Telling an Atheist you'll pray for them is horribly offensive if you know they're Atheist. I don't respond to someone who I find out is Christian with "God's not real," but if they respond to my lack of religion by immediately countering it, then they initiated that discussion. I don't have such a thin skin that it bothers me or ruins my day or anything and I love debating the existence of any deity or explaining my disdain for religion, but I won't do it just because someone brings up their own belief on the matter. I don't care about a confirmation of your beliefs, I care about a disregard of others (assuming that you aren't trying to start a discussion, but even then, there's certain platforms for it like my Facebook) and inconsistency. Just to belabor the point one more time: I'll gladly criticize any rule of thought if I can poke holes in it, but I won't do it directly to someone who follows that rule of thought unless they ask for it.

I understand the "live and let live" line, but I extremely disagree with it when it affects others negatively. Is fighting fire with fire effective? Probably not, but "ignoring it" out of "respect" is a disservice to the victims.

On a related note, a commercial about Leah Remini's dispute with the Church of Scientology just came on while I was typing this lol[DOUBLEPOST=1446347147][/DOUBLEPOST]My Creative Writing professor ended her email with "all the best chariots."

On my drive to work this morning, I thought I saw a ghost on the backroad.
Turns out, it was just a random person walking at five in the morning.

Someone left a bunch of 1,000,000 "dollar bills" at the table, but they were just tract. To quote the back, "What's the real one million dollar question? Would you go to Heaven when you die?" and I was talking about getting a similar check at my old job and it annoyed me not because I'm an Atheist, but people who leave that crap in restaurants are horrible. Employees are literally made to be as personable and friendly as possible in the customer service industry and most of them -in my experience- won't speak about how uncomfortable they are with that conversation. It's just not the place for it.

Funny part was, the employee who told me that was the only one dressed up at work. She was a cow. She's dressed up as the sacred cattle of some religions while celebrating a Pagan holiday.

Someone at work told me that she'll pray for me after I told her I was Atheist.
So I told her I'll write her a letter to Santa.

The amount of people defending the officer who slung that student is terrifying.
On a related note, I love how the majority of a minority can take a stand against something, but as soon as one agrees with the right wing whites, it's supposed to be the end-all of the conversation

I'm not saying your mind was already made. I made a similar thread before I got a PS4 because I wanted to be able to justify the purchase when I didn't think I'd have the time to enjoy it. I'm saying that I don't think you really want one, but the idea of having one intrigues you so you want someone to push you towards getting one. That was the whole point of my "then don't get one" to which you responded with sarcasm. I didn't mean it as negatively as you took it; it was just blunt.

There's no attitude here. If there is any in my previous post, it was in response to your sarcasm. My initial post was a simple statement: if you don't want one, don't get one. I'll admit you haven't gotten many responses to this yet aside from one person telling you not to get one up above, but someone mentioned Tomb Raider, and someone else mentioned how Microsoft's first party output would be the best reason. You still said you didn't see enough reason to get one. So...maybe I'm overpsychoanalyzing you, but you really don't seem like you want one. Hence, my post.

What advice do you want? You just said yourself that you don't see enough reason to get one. If you were really interested in it, you wouldn't need convincing. It doesn't sound like you're even on the fence about it. I'm assuming you've done your research on what the system offers, feature-wise and game-wise (granted, that assumption comes from you apparently knowing more about me about the system) since you wouldn't drop that much money without giving it serious consideration.

    • Halo (Master Chief Collection and 5, though I'm still pissed 5 doesn't have split-screen campaign)
    • Killer Instinct (which will eventually be ported to Windows 10 anyway)
    • Scalebound (which is like a year away still
    • backwards compatibility (in the works)
Judging by the parentheses, you'd rather get Killer Instinct on Windows 10. Backwards compatibility and Scalebound are not immediate benefits that you see. So either get it for Halo or wait until you think you'll get more bang for your buck out of it (which, judging by your own reaction, you don't think so right now).

Personally, I never buy a system unless there are a handful of games already out that I want and upcoming games that I know will be on the system.
Except for the Wii U; that was a present.

If you're so on the fence that all it will take is KHV's opinion, then...yeah. Go ahead and get it. Why not? You'll get Halo, Gears of War, and everything else you listed when it's released.

Otherwise, it sounds like you either don't want to do the research yourself (which to me looks like you already did) or you don't really want one and just like the idea of having one. So to reiterate my prior point: if you don't see enough reason to get one, then don't.
I sincerely hope that's helpful enough for you.

"They're uneasy," Grayson replied to Raven. "Understandably. Quicksilver," he nodded towards the white-haired boy, "comes from a complicated background. His sister is the one I brought you in for." He moved towards a console, taking out a flash drive. "May I?" He asked Iron Man, not waiting for an answer as he brought up a holographic screen. The screen split in two and a young man in a red hood and mask appeared on it. "Arsenal, any updates?"

"Uh..." Arsenal looked around, as much as the "cell phone" he was speaking to would allow. There were definitely more people than he was expecting. Though he's met some of the Justice Avengers through Canary, he wasn't really on their "level." And yet, here was in Sokovia with Shadowcat and Catwoman (he didn't ask if those codenames were planned), acting as scouts for the super team. "We don't know what Ultron is doing, but whatever it is, it's under the church at the center of town. Shadowcat said she can't..." he glanced over at the young Mutant keeping lookout at the end of the alley, "she said she can't uh...phase through the walls to see what's underneath? Something about the metal 'disrupting' her?" She could walk through walls. It was simple. Arsenal has seen more extravagant powers....just not up close. "There's a cave where we saw Ultron and his Hydra lackies taking Canary," he said, adding to himself a confirmation that they were going to save her. "Catwoman got as deep as she could without being caught; but Ultron is....well, everywhere. She thinks there's another tunnel outside of town where we can go in."

"Thanks, Arsenal," Grayson nodded, turning to the other screen which had a satellite map of Sokovia. A bright star symbolized the church in the exact center of town and a blinking circle showed the entrance Ctatwoman found. The others haven't met Catwoman; she wasn't related to SHIELD. Just someone doing a favor for Grayson...a favor she made sure he knew he was repaying. "Whatever Ultron is planning, he's planning on doing it from here. We know that he had an extremely large supply of Vibranium and Nth Metal. He used some of it for 'Vision' here. The rest is the key to what he's planning, but...we're completely in the dark otherwise. Using his presence on the 'net, he's able to be all over the world at once...and he is." Arsenal stayed on audio, but the video feed changed to different news clips from around the world showing many heroes (and even villains) fighting lower forms of Ultron. "Even SHIELD is spread thin trying to stop him from causing too much havoc on the 'net; we have our best hackers and our magic division working constantly. Ultron is...thorough. He's even attacking the X-Institute -don't worry, we have agents helping and your classmates have been holding them off." He told Cyclops. "Still...they could use some help." He sighed and pressed a button, showing the profiles of Ultron's team: Scarlet Witch, Ranger VI, Blue Beetle, X-23, Deadpool, and Harley Quinn. He raised a hand to his head, rubbing his temples. "Ultron seems to be attacking the world at all fronts, enough to keep everyone busy...except for you." He told the Justice Avengers. "He wants you there. He wants to take you down himself and he's doing his damnedest to make sure you don't have any back-up. Fortunately, you have a little back-up," he smiled, pointing to himself with his thumb. "The rest of these guys, almost all taken from Hydra, are his 'Avengers,' so to speak. If you want to take down Ultron, you'll have to get through them. Raven's here to help against Scarlet Witch. Blue Beetle is some kind of alien tech. I put a call in to the MIB for help; they reached out and someone's delivering something to nullify the scarab tech. I've also got someone to get in, grab Canary, and get out quick. Hopefully, doing some damage along the way. Daredevil here, he's good in close combat. He can also 'see' more than the most; he'll be good back-up against Ultron or any of the goons. As for the others, well, you need a plan." He looked at Batman, meeting the crusader's eyes.

Vision took a step forward. "The citizens of Sokovia," he remarked, "any battle with Ultron would put them at risk."

OOC: Will finally be putting the bad guys in my next post. Trying to not post too much at once.

I never said I hate him because of his money. That's the exact point I'm saying. He's hated regardless. It's not the fact that he has money that adds to why he's a piece of ****, it's his attitude regarding his money that adds to it. How I feel about billionaires is entirely independent from how I feel ******* billionaires that think they're better than everyone else because they're billionaires. How I feel about fit people is entirely independent from how I feel about fit people that think they're better than everyone else because they're in better shape. It's not the trait I'm against; it's the attitude regarding the trait. I don't know where you're seeing that he's hated because of his money and not because he's a prick; hopefully it's not in my posts.

Actually, he's a piece of **** regardless of how much money he has. The money just adds to it, not because it simply makes him rich, but because of his own attitude regarding it. It's a ton of effort to hate him? No, it's pretty effortless. I think it'd take more effort to ignore him honestly.

Well, he gets better at the end of Season 1, worse at the end of season 2, and is so far pretty interesting in season 3. Regardless, they could find a way to change the name or change the persona. It wouldn't be the first time they did it. Not that I'm rooting for that, mind you, but it wouldn't be unprecedented.
