Yeah you' re totally not a fanboy xD

I wasn' t even aware there was a new movie. Apparently it was released three months ago in Japanese theaters. The theaters to DVD length varies between countries. It' s four months in the US but it' s six months in France, not a clue about Japan or Italy. Looks like it will be released in theaters in the US on August 4.

Considering dreams have been mentioned ever since the very first shot of the first game, one of them being outright titled Birth By Sleep, I wouldn' t be surprised if they did. You know who else use their dreams as a path to tribulations leading to knowledge ? Shamans. Most shamanic tribes (if not all, I' m not sure) believe this world to be someone else' s dream.

If the ultimate goal of the good guys is to bring the world back to its original state they' ll need the dream worlds to make it whole. Besides, as far as I can tell, Terra and Ven (and maybe Eraqus, that whole mind inception thingy doesn' t make much sense for now) are trapped in the dream world.

I just googled Jessica Jones: a former super hero defeated by life. Sounds gritty alright. Looks like they' ll take turn not to step on each other, good.
I knew Steven S. DeKnight from his work on Buffy and Angel, this isn' t his first time working on tied shows.

Have they started filming the other shows or ... ? I heard they' ll do like four or five shows based on a bunch of lower profile heroes (only one I recognized aside from Daredevil was Luke Cage, and his name is pretty much the only thing I know about him) and gather them all to make a Defender series or something ?

Do they intend to make each show one at a time, like the Avengers movies ? Because this could easily become a jumbled mess. Having five shows in parallel would be hellish to keep track of. I also wonder how close in tone to Daredevil the others will be, I could really dig more of the same gritty approach.

I guess Axel could qualify as a traitor as well, but Roxas is the only one who actually hindered Xemnas' plans.

Oh right. "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it."
Wasn' t Roxas the traitor the thirteenth member of the organization btw ?

Lucky vs unlucky ? Does anyone here expect the seven lights to lose in the end ?

Not sure why seven is considered lucky but it is.

I do know why thirteen is considered bad luck though (in spite of what the national lottery would have you believe): during his last supper Jesus has twelve guests at his table. The twelfth apostle, therefore the thirteenth person at the table, was Judas. The traitor. Considering Xehanort' s keyblade bears a goat emblem I wouldn' t be surprised to find more of those "subtle" Christian symbols.

I assume shy is pretty much the last thing people would expect an actor to be. Especially one who agreed to join a convention. Also, sexually explicit stuff is really no big deal here. Pretty sure I saw a picture of a guy walking around dressed as a dick during the Charlie Hebdo gathering, among other things.

Not trying to excuse anyone or anything, I' m not even sure what happened exactly, just telling you what popped to my mind.

Massive yay on my end, intricate combos were the one thing KH combat sorely missed IMO. I just hope it won' t involve pushing directions based on your opponent' s position because the camera angle can make you mess those up (as in Type 0 for instance). It would be a minor annoyance though, I' d still be glad to have that kind of flexibility.

I' ve been using the same ones for a decade now, one of those big ones you put your ears in. Only cost me twenty bucks.
I don' t care how ridiculous it makes me look, the utter lack of pain and discomfort is worth it.

Yeah I was about to say that. Doesn' t mean it has to end badly but risk zero doesn' t exist.

Which one is it ? xD
Nevermind. Weren' t they gonna fire them either way ?
I' ve bought plenty or firecrackers for July 14 in my teens, it wasn' t to keep' em in a locker because "city show not canceled".

Sorry, bit of a necrobump, but I didn' t want to create a thread in the movie section just for that. Not when that movie is old news.
Turns out I liked it. The first hour could have easily been cut in half without loosing a damn thing, but it wasn' t outright boring. The second hour was riveting though. Not that I cared much about the characters, it' s what they' re going through at that moment that had my attention.

    As for the climax ...
... yeah, bit of a woo moment. I' m no scientist but I assume they took huge creative liberties there. Not to mention what few I had read about the movie allowed me to see half of its ending coming from a mile away. It didn' t ruin the movie for me though.

Yeah I' m told it' s pretty common for Americans to raise a flag in their garden or their home but I' ve never seen anyone do it here, nor in what I' ve seen of the rest of Europe. Not once.

Germany is another can of worm altogether because of their recent history. I met a German girl once, she was hitting on my sis in a bar. She told us they' re taught to be extra careful with what they say and how they word it, hate speech isn' t exactly looked upon kindly in their schools. Apparently even swear words are a no no. We couldn' t help pushing the topic further, given our family history and all, but she asked us to drop it after a while. Which I guess is understandable. I assume French people kept bringing it up around her and it probably made her squirmish.
