Where else can you find a practical use for the word "Keyblade"?
Oh, Happy Birthday to you! You know what they say...Birthdays are like cats. You wake up one morning and find it staring you in the face.
All righty then sir, I shall remember. (That's seven, not counting this sentence. :D )
I want an Organization Cloak. And I need one before next Halloween. That, a red spikey wig, and some oversized chakram.
Why thankee. :)
Umm...it's an Organization one. "It's a beautiful day" I think it's called. The Xemnas role was open, and I'm in the mood to write in long, rambling paragraphs. :) My first order of business was sending a PM application to the person running it, then I looked around the site. When I checked back I noticed the little sentence saying that 30+ posts were required. I only had 9 when I saw that. So I sent an "I apologize, please don't throw out my application yet" PM and scouered the board. As you can probably see, I made the necessary post count by the end of the day, and I did it without spamming!...I think...I hope...but yeah. I hope I don't seem annopyingly eager, or if there's something else I should know about it...I read two or three of the pages to get a sense of how the characters interact...I like the idea of everyday stuff being done by these guys. Oh, by the way, I do have one piece of Fan Art up in another thread, and I outlined a fanfic idea in that "Coming Soon" thread.
Tron's limit, Skellington's limit, Sparrow's limit, and Aladdin's limits are great, and both of Donald's limits have saved my butt countless times. Especially during XIII battles and Colesium tournaments.
But, see, by going "See? That shocks you", it truly does sound like just part of his act, just him trying to be outrageous. And then when the people who were talking beforehand started saying it was uncalled for, that's when Richards lost his temper. You know what? I get offended when I watch an African-American comedian and he or she starts talking about how "White People" act. I got offended when I watched Comic Relief and George Lopez made a joke that white people act one way, and poor people act a different way. My skin is of the pale whitish pink variety. and my family is always struggling to make ends meet. I'm lucky we have this computer and if we hadn't gotten it when we did we wouldn't have it now. But am I going to write letters? No. I believe in freedom of speech in a comedy act. But I do feel discouraged that if it were a white comedian making the same kind of jokes, that he or she would be tarred and feathered. We need to be equal. Whether that means everybody gets to comfortably make jokes about race or nobody can, it doesn't matter, as long as it's not the case today where it's okay for some people to but not for others too. And I'm not talking about making fun of our own races, since I am all for that since we have to learn to laugh at ourselves and not take ourselves seriously. I'm talking about how an ethnic comedian can blast "whites" but a caucasion comedian can't blast "minorities." And before you flame me, I'd like to make you aware that I am doing the best job I can in using language that doesn't overgeneralize. I know not every ethnic comedian does this. Just about 80% of the ones I've managed to see. It is a common occurance. Plus, even though I'm "white" (a word I hate, for some reason), I'm also Jewish and no stranger to prejudice. In fact, you know what? Being Jewish saves me. I'm already white and male and that, people never cease to incline, makes me responsible for most of the trouble in the world. I'm lucky I don't belong to the faith majority. Look, why do people have to keep demonizing others? Why can't we all just get along, to quote Rodney King and Jack Nicholson? I'm Jewish, but I don't hate German people or Christians. I recognize that there are good and bad people no matter what their ethnic or religious backgrounds are. It's hard psychologically to really take someone who's really different into account, I know, but we need to start. We need to train ourselves. Let's just accept that we are all homo sapiens, and we'll all have differences and similarities between regional subspecies but it's the individual we have to focus on and not the group. There...I've vented....
HA! Love that comic. But, yeah, I personally think he's straight, because that's what I know in my own life and I doubt Disney would allow openly gay characters, as sad as that is, but if some higher-up at Disney or Square held an official press conference and said "Yes, he's gay, and so is Roxas and Axel", I wouldn't care.
Now I can see it. AGHH! SEIZURE! Heh, just kidding. Seriously, though, I liked it, although those bits in the credits seemed tacked on for no good reason.
*sniff* Beautiful...
I don't dream often. but when I do they're always strange. Earlier this year I had a dream where I had to sneak into an ex-girlfriend's house in the dead of night in order to clean the place. Just last night I had two weird dreams. First, since I'm expecting a Roxas action figure in the mail, I dreamt I got it, only in the dream he came with an Organization cloak and if you turned his head completely around, his head became a long-haired Demyx and back again. Then, I dreamed that I kept running to catch an important bus, but I kept missing each one, and it turned out that the buses I kept missing and running to catch were charter buses I didn't want anyway. The freaky thing is that today, the bus I always take to class never came and I ended up missing class. Although, I have to say, the freakiest dreams I have...sometimes I'll dream of doing some unremarkable everyday event, except everything is in a certain place at a certain time and then a certain thing is said by a certain person...and then about a week later when I'm awake it happens ver batim. I have, like, ESP of the mundane.
Yes. And I would play devils advocate and say that, for the most part, adults and parents especially only have the best of intentions. However, it is also true that some of the worst things in the history of the world began with the best of intentions. I would say at worst he's making a broad overgeneralization, but he's not inaccurate by a long shot at how human beings are.
He went on the David Letterman show to apologize. He downplayed this and felt really bad, but he hinted at this and here's how I saw it when I saw the clip: Micheal Richards is an extreme man in his stand-up routine, and when these people started heckling and just being disrespectful he tried to go over the top in order to turn the situation funny again and save face, and when the hecklers fought back, tempers were lost on both sides and everything got out of hand. You can search for the clip of the incident on YouTube. I believe it's labled as Richard's "Racist Tirade"
I just saw the video where Michael Richards was doing a stand up act and used the N-Word, and some audience members were offended and got into a verbal match with Richards until both parties left the room. Now, I'm no racist, and I hate the N-word, and I wasn't really there, but from what I saw it looked like Richards was just being crazy Richards and the audience members (who Richards said were talking through his act anyway) took it too far. Also, the audience members called him "Cracker-***" in response, and that made me think...many African American comedians use these racial slurs in their acts all the time. And yet, nobody gets offended at them. Racism works both ways, and I think that's kind of unfair. I don't know...what do you all think?
I have a nasty habit of scratching someplace around my head and smelling what comes off...I need to stop doing that if I'm ever going to get a date...:(
Well...that sounds sad...I am new, but I do know what it's like with message boards. I used to post all the time at a Tim Burton message boards, got a few bad relationships out of it, and I can't ever go back because of the bad memories. There's also a Harry Potter board that I couldn't look at any more because it feels too weird. A part of your life is over, and it's hard going back. I wish you the best of luck.
I try and do anything I can that I know makes me happy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
Here's a cool summon to have: Mary @#$!ing Poppins! She'll kick all your heartless butts!
I don't know if I'd want a full "Great Mouse Detective" world, but I REALLY want to fight Ratigan as a boss. And, also, KH3 needs to bring in "The Jungle Book" for gosh sakes!
