I hope you're able to recieve it ontime haha and yeah I really enjoyed my first year but my only trouble is because I was pretty ill for a few weeks my attendance got pretty low and some personal matters after that but college is a lot more understanding of personal matters than highschool but i'm sorta hanging in the balance of if they'll keep me but my btec grades are high so i'm sure they will

and i'm studying whats called a Game's development Btec extended diploma course worth 3 A levels if I do good enough in Uni I'll be reccomended to work with rockstar and from there rockstar can recommend me to other companies and what I'm hoping to do is Programming in Uni once i'm finished

Sony vegas is open to 3rd party effects & transitions some noteable effects would be the newblue FX packages they have some pretty cool ones that I have used for a number of years now on my AMV's.

They have things such as motions blend and effects which are basically zoom & blur effects and transitions, light blends which are transitions and many more

but for the most part everyone works with just the basic effects hell, loosecontroi has some tutorials for certain effects that he uses to make his videos it all depends on your style of editing and what you're working on I guess but to answer the question bluntly; all the effects you would need are already on sony vegas
