"You were off guard, moron." Eden grumbled to herself, annoyed. "Look, let's go to a house, bunk in, sleep for the night." she looked to the setting sun, and the rumbling clouds coming in. "It'd be best, or if you want to get sick, fine by me, I'm still bunking." her words were a lot harsher.
Eden sighed, wishing she could rest, but right now was not an option. "Riku, you are fine. I'm owing you for what you did to me. You became a heartless and I slayed you, and Sora allowed me to absorb you. I do hope you make yourself at home." she made faces to match her sentences, an uncontrollable habit. "Let's get going. I want us to rest at night, as the darkness is stronger then."
Eden held the heart softly, bowing her head deeply to Sora. "Thank you, I will do my best to take care of it." To that, she pressed the heart against her own, hoping it would do what she wanted. It did, merging with her own. After a few painful winces and gasps, she could breathe easy again and feel the gentle rhythm of their hearts beating together. "I feel like a Time Lord now..." she mused, thinking a bit. "Shadow... Shadow? Are you there? Answer!"
Eden blinked at Sora, unsure. "Are you sure it should be me? Not anyone else?" She wanted a final decision. After all, they were making a choice about life, not just who will get to hold the role of team leader.
"Sora, look, we can't protect a raw heart forever. One of us will have to house it within ourselves. Sora, I don't think you should be the one, as you have more then enough to deal with." Eden sighed, sitting on the ground. Her long, drawn out breath easily showed her frustration and annoyment.
Eden did not flinch, staring directly at Sora. "I lost more people today then you may very well imagine. I am NOT in a mood to be trifled with, and YOU, Sora, Keybearer, know the risks of being a heartless! I KNOW TOO! It went like this as well! So what was I to choose? You dead and Riku a heartless forever? Or at least keep his heart safe?! I HAD NO CHOICE!"
"If anything, I can return the favor of what he did to me." Eden's gaze was cold, even her mouth was put into a deep frown. Her arms crossed, her body strict, she could be terrifying. "I owe him anyway." she bluntly remarked. "Just until we find something for him."
Eden glanced at Sora, sighing. She looked to the little heart, petting it a bit. "Shadow, you'll be just fine. If he can't bring you back, you'll just live with me a while." she muttered, mostly to herself. "Sora! Stop blubbering, I would never kill him. You wouldn't be able to get close without getting killed. Here." She handed him the heart, the Reversed Kingdom Key vanishing, it's purpose served once more for now as it reverted to a keychain.
Eden had almost forgotten herself, standing still glaring at the beast of Riku. What she could do, and what would probably make Sora hate her forever... But she decided to go with it anyway, as she could not bear to just watch. With her trembling hands, she immediately pinned him to the ground with her thick weight. Holding the mighty Keyblade high up(which was now representing Kingdom Key), she slashed the weakened Wyvern, finishing him. A little heart floated off, but not too quick for her to snatch it.
Eden glanced at everyone, then back to the Heartless of Riku. "Tch, let's just get this over with." The first immeadiate thing she could do? Try to pin him down. Easier said then done, as he always snapped at her and made sure he was just a bit too far from reach.
Eden put herself in front of Sora, her glare was piercing the Wyvern's own. If looks could kill, then Hell would be a heaven as opposed to what she wanted to do to it. She now hated Wyverns, with her very soul. Her stance was lanky, loose, and whip-like. It was very clear, a battle for who would keep the light.
Eden stared up at the Wyvern, her heart somehow feeling a tug to it. Her keyblade pulsed at her side, as if trying to contemplate how to take care of this more dominant heartless in comparison to the others. A few memories flashed back at her, as she realized how her broken memories must've still been in his heart. "I think... if any heartless is Riku, then that must be him."
ooc: Andrew agreed to this bic: Eden went into a fit of rage, the keyblade responding to her, returning. The Wyverns greedily attacked her, trying to consume her heart as well, only to explode in flames or be destroyed by the keyblade. "You will NEVER get my family ever AGAIN!" she screamed, though more animalistic.
Eden noticed some other Wyverns fleeing to get their own tiny meal, which happened to be the little golden brown haired boy Eden tried so dearly to protect. But she had done so too late, as the swarm of Wyverns tore his being apart, snapping for the heart until one won. "No..." she whispered with fear. "No no no no no."
Eden swiped the Elixir quickly and chugged it down as fast as she could without choking. The tastes shot through her, but she didn't care. All she focused on was the great surge of strength that kicked her into high gear, allowing her to get back up. Her burns weren't gone, but she could move around without being in pain anymore. "Thank you. Sorry about um... My recklessness earlier. And, here, I think you should have this, the King wo--" She hadn't really noticed the keyblade, since most of that fight was a haze of pain to her, and the keyblade was just as hazy too. "Oh god! The King's keychain! What'd I do? did I break it? Oh Notch, I have to get back to Andrew, Merlin's beard this is not good!" she again dismissed the keychain, running to her little badger, going to protect him.
Eden shook her head. "But Andrew's still out there! You left him behind!" She would lunge at Sora for an Elixir, if she had the strength to. "Please, I need to get to him. I lost Nexas. Andrew's the last thing I have to my Old life."
The sound of the Wyvern picked Eden up to fight once more, just barely. Her knees were shaking badly as she stood. "Sora! I need help!" her body was trembling with pain, and slight burns littered about her. The keychain of whatever her heart called felt warm again, and if she needed to fight it would come.
Eden felt tired, falling over again. She needed to get closer, to protect him... but right now she was so tired and beat she could barely get up on her own. She moaned in defeat, though she did try dragging her body through a slow crawl by the chin.
ooc: Icki not Icky. We're not singing Chip Skylark's single "Icky Vicky" <BI bic: Eden was done, her energy was out... and yet, she still got up and lumbered almost blindly to Andrew. She would make sure he was safe, at any least.
ooc: It's not permanent. I swear bic: Eden started to breath more heavily, realizing this Blade was syncing with her strength, and slightly sapping it away. "I... I'm not..." she muttered, the heartless backing up, retreating. Her light was burning as bright as the dark, and she could only keep herself standing. "Val, Jeff, where the hell are you?" The blade fazed out as the last few heartless retreated. It had served it's purpose at such a desperate time. And with that, Eden finally fell to the ground, hugging the heartless as a vain attempt to comfort herself and to keep her jittery hands occupied.
