After some tiring resting hours, Eden slowly rose, legs stiff and sore, cracking her back. She was never going to get used to these few hours of sleep at a time, but right now, it was all she could muster. "Everyone, get up." She poked each sleeping individual, until they had awoken.
"Look, I know it's not the best idea now, but some of us have not gotten an hour of sleep within the past few weeks. So please, just some time. To restore some strength." Eden grumbled, her senses fogged from the hazy drowsiness.
"Then it is settled. We shall be heading out within two hours, so everyone must rest while they can." Eden firmly called out, counting each head coming to the keyhole. She nodded in satisfaction, heading off to a corner where a bed was, and laid down there/
"Fine then. Who will stay. And if no one volunteers, I will stay, but someone will have to be appointed the leader." Eden glanced around, wondering who would be a makeshift leader if she did stay behind. She decided upon Gexln, as he seemed more serious about the situation then the others.
"We still can't risk Sora alone. He is more valuable then we are, Valerie. Remember that. Sora, RIku, and Kairi are valuable, we are expendable." Eden warned, thinking low of herself though she herself wielded her own Key. She still kept her ideas and demeanor.
Eden raised an eyebrow at Sora. "Why do you think I kept Kairi with me? She's a princess of heart, the strongest of Light. She can cleanse the keyhole. Besides, Darksides seem easy. I know how to deal with them. Sora, I know how to fight most Heartless. I've even studied Ansem's reports, nododies... Sorry, going back to those old days, how embarrassing." She found the seasonings steeped enough and ate it, caring not for how long she had let it cool. She just heated it up again, with but a flicker of heat. Her stomach was soon filled, satisfaction grazing her lips. "I apologize, didn't even let you have any."
Eden returned, donning a baggy set of Riku's enchanted attire. The thought of wearing it clearly disgruntled her, but it was warm. "Carries such an odd scent as well, Shadow. Like I can smell everything you've been through... Wait, ignore that." She settled into the group, looking at the bowl before her. She would make a proper meal for everyone, one day. She allowed it to steep, remembering everyone had their own way of making the college delicacy.
Eden nodded, she did need clothes after all. Something was better then nothing. She quickly scoured through the Gummi, looking for said garments, noticing them on sight. She looked around, going into a closet to change out of the ashes and into clean cloth.
Eden sighed, she had the energy to cook. She was bloody good at it too, as she had cooked dinners before. "Move over." she checked the fridge, freezer, pantry, finding many spoiled or frostbitten meats.Little survived, though rice was an option. "I... can't make anything, ramen it is." she sighed in defeat.
Eden took control, wanting to be the first to eat what food she had scavenged for everyone. She hugged her body tightly, shaking a bit. Her clothes were in almost ashes again. "Do you have clothes too?" she meagerly asked, not wanting to be naked. Good Lord, she'd need whatever enchanted clothes Sora had because the fabrics of Earth were not going to last long enough for this Pyrokenesis.
Eden had almost passed out within herself, but she had to keep the fire going. She would not allow her tired form to put out their only protection. She didn't even care to notice Riku's antics, or maybe she didn't care at all. "Do what you wish, but I will not allow kisses. Do that, and I will burn you when human once more."
"I will keep going, for the sake of us all." Eden mumbled, her stubbornness causing the flame to grow. The sludge feared her more, clearing a larger path.
"Understand now, Riku? Light has always been harsh. We have spent a third of our lives in the darkness, protected. And in the end we go into darkness." Eden mentally groaned, she was getting a bit more pained, tired, chilled in such a warm place.
Eden walked forward, inwardly grumbling. "I can still hear you." The Darkness wanted to laugh, but the Light was stiffening her mood, and finally, he went away, muttering something about weaklings. Her veil released Riku, her form sighing. "My Brother, he is a hypocrite. He is what you fight for."
"It is but her trying to understand a few things, while being covered in flames anyway. She likes to just... Think, sometimes too much." The Darkness crooned, trying to understand the odd therapeutic session as well.
ooc: Trying something odd bic: It's funny, really, when you're engulfed in flames and trying to please something you don't even know truly exists. Maybe it's just something I made up? I dunno, could be, considering how many things I make up. To wake while not thinking, just moving, just in this blissful state, makes you think. Then again, I'm not thinking at all, but, certain things come to mind. My family. Yes, I miss them, I miss making their food when mother wasn't home, I miss sleeping in a bed. I miss smelling winter nights, where it always smelled like burnt wood. My friends. I miss them a bit more then my broken up little family, and I will keep their memory within my head to preserve them, like pickles.... Mmm, I like pickles. My life. It wasn't hard, Drawing, tumbling, doing what I love before I worried about the worst. I didn't worry much, I didn't fear a lot, I didn't care for the most part. Odd how it all changes. This is even odd too, feeling like I'm talking to some sort of fourth wall me, or maybe, just myself as usual, imagining what's going on out there. It's just me, and what I want to be here. No other voices in my head, unless I choose them. Weird, huh? Yeah, but I'm not a weird person, just a glitch, like MissingNo. Maybe that's why I can see past others, read their eyes, feel their pain... or maybe I am overthinking it. Okay, I need to stop this inner monologue. Gotta focus to reality. Gotta... And soon, the flames, once roaring their majesty, sputtered out. The candle had been melted. But the child had not collapsed, no, she kept up, keeping what little strength she had to presume her tiny flame once more.
Eden didn't listen, with the dazed look in her eyes, you could never be sure if she was all there at the time. With each step, the dirt scorched, the sand almost melted into glass. Her ashen garments were barely spared, just covering her undergarments. And so, she walked, keeping the darkness at bay, and her light pleased.
And so, Darkness veiled her small form next to Riku, repeating her words. "He is everything I am not. He is her offense." And so, as this phrase is repeated once more, the flames lick the skin, and heat the surrounding sludge, which was almost fleeing in the warmth of light. The flame grew, until land was felt beneath the feet, and the heat became almost a beacon.
Eden coughed, concentrating once more. Heat! She could feel heat! Like a tiny, live coal, but it was there."Am I... doing good?" She almost craved the gratification, or maybe the attention, of anything. The blinding figure seemingly sneered. "Pathetic! As my host, you shall do better! You shall create infernos without so much as batting an eyelash! YOU ARE TO HOLD GLORIOUS FURY AS YOU HAD BEFORE!" Eden winced, but her tiny little coal flame was all she could muster. The cruelly bright figure snarled. "Fine, my pathetically weak child. Here, I lend you my power." And the flame grew, consuming the body and heating up all the darkness around her.
Eden could barely summon a bit of flame, it was hard, and her pressed lungs were still making it hard to breathe. She recalled the rage, the anger, the power, the fury, and yet nothing came forth. She could only panic, not knowing what to do. "I see the child is having problems." A bright force descended to the main floor, like his sister, not bothering to notice Riku. His brilliance of majesty was so bright, it was hard to look straight at him. "I will have to push you, child. You WILL succeed."
