She was definitely regretting telling her, but there was no going back now, and no point in trying to make her forget it. ❝My mom is really nice. She's a nurse at the hospital. She's working overnights in the ER this week to make some extra money -- then pay more for that. School is expensive and if it weren't for her working all the time I wouldn't be able to stay at Fortissimo.❞ How noble of her mother. She definitely had interesting taste in decor. She waited for Pierce to say more, this time about her dad, but when nothing came, Sophie visibly frowned, and then pushed a little. ❝What about your dad?❞ Of course, a girl like Pierce was likely to have daddy issues, but there was no knowing until she got some sort of response. In her pocket, her phone vibrated, and she waited for Pierce's answer before checking it. She resisted the urge to sigh at it, just like she had in the copy room.

After everything . . . spending the day together didn't sound very appealing anymore, and he needed time to clear his mind. What was supposed to happen to them, now? The rest of breakfast was quiet and terse. The food smelled and looked appealing, but as Bryan morosely dug into it, he found he was full before he was even finished with half his plate. Trudging on anyway, he finished most of his food, and then paid for their check. Without a word, only a brief motion, Bryan led his sister into his car and they were both on their way home. The quiet radio had been the only white noise to fill up the silence, and he resisted the urge to mess with it. The day wasn't supposed to go like this, but he didn't have anyone to blame but himself for pushing her to talk. It had been a bad idea; still, at least he knew the truth now, and he could find a way to fix it. . . . Right? They arrived at their house, and Bryan simply dropped Noëlle off and said he would be home later. He was gone before she had even entered their house. After driving out of the neighborhood, Bryan pulled up to a gas station and took a deep breath. He pulled out his phone and called Harley. "I'm coming over." was all he said when his friend picked up the phone. After giving him confirmation, Bryan put it away and drove off again.

Levi actually seemed genuine in his interest in her and the dreams. She honestly didn't understand why he was being so nice. Ugh . . . At least she was defying the anger part of the bet. Eventually, Levi left her in the park and with her own thoughts, lingering on their conversation of dreams and angels. With all her dreaming, all of her day dreaming . . . What could it mean? Puriel, Uriel, Hay Sun . . . She was only one of them, but why the others? Maybe they were people who once lived. Hay Sun knew that dreams of past lives ( in relation to reincarnation ) were not rare occurrences, but most people put them up to dreams only. That was what Hay Sun was trying to do, but it didn't seem to . . . they just seemed so real -- just like memories. She pulled out the journal from her bag and her pen. Spoiler: ✖ E X C L U S I V E _ T H O U G H T S I've been having these weird dreams, lately . . . Of these beings, these angels. I never took much stock in dreams, to be honest, but these seem more tangible, to me . . . I don't know how to describe it. Like someone else has inhabited my body before, like I've seen through different eyes. Memories of past lives, perhaps. Reincarnation is one of the teachings of Buddha, which believes in multiples selves in succession -- having to do with karma. Angels don't really exist in Buddhism or Hinduism -- or really any of the Eastern religions, so it makes me wonder . . . How did so many different beliefs come to fruition in the world? Is there really just one god? Or maybe there are many. Odin and Zeus, perhaps they really do exist? If they do, how? They're the equivalent of each other in two different worlds -- maybe they're different forms of each other -- just as Zeus and Jupiter are -- or they really do exist separately. But I have to remember the Titans. Might Odin actually be the equivalent of Chronus? The Fore-Titans, which makes me think of Uranus -- where then, Odin would equal Uranus. If Uranus is the cosmos, might that make him the equivalent of the Christian God? According to Shinto beliefs, all spiritual beings, including God, including Uranus, Odin, Zeus, and every other spiritual being that might exist, no matter what religion they original from, all have kami and they are all kami. This relates all religions through their spiritual beings. Which could mean . . . all religions are one? I suppose I can see the basis for this, as there are many similarities between all religions, and perhaps different versions of the gods and similarities in their roles . . . There is one supreme lead spiritual being in all of them, and they have children. This leads me to misunderstand -- if they are all so similar, why believe in different things ( which often leads to trouble because humans are close-minded beings )? What if all the spiritual beings exist, will humans still hold competion over one and other for which is supreme? Sigh . . . Everyone should just be henotheistic, maybe. Especially the Christians and Muslims. The world might be a better place. Of course, if there really was a God, then he would actually make the world a better place. If mortals are his children . . . Who would want their children to suffer? These are things I might never understand, as a mortal myself. ❝I just wanna know the truth.❞ she mumbled to herself, closing the leather-back journal and tying it securely. With a sigh, she stood up from the soft grass and looked up into the lightly clouded sky. When she looked at it, when she thought of the hallucination, the dreams . . . Hay Sun had never actually felt she fitted into this world, but was that just her imagination?

Still, that was ageism, and something Sophie wasn't very interested in to begin with. Her telling Sophie that he was in college seemed like an excuse, but she decided not to press it that way. The smell of burning pancake batter became apparent, and Pierce quickly took care of the issue -- a little clumsily, to Sophie's amusement. Just a little while later, the counter was set, and the two of them were eating next to each other. ❝So, um . . . What about -- what about you and Quentin? After she ordered, he did as well, albeit a little stressful. Somehow, he felt like coming to breakfast had been a bad idea. Things weren't the same anymore. He sighed. When the waiter was gone, Bryan looked back at her, expecting a reply of some sort that wasn't lying. "I've been lonely, I guess." she started, and his bad feelings went away. Lonely. Terrible. "I miss you, a lot . . . I don't know if you know, but . . . uh. Last year, mom had a talk with me about . . . you, and how attached I seemed. She said she was worried, but, I don't know, it made me . . . feel like I bother." Bryan thought of the talk mom had with him, too, but he didn't say anything about it. That was sort of why he had kept his distance more often than before. Mom was worried; that was understandable. Bryan thought that the space would be good for Noëlle, but apparently not. He didn't know where he went wrong with this. Neglect? Just the sound of the word made him feel cruddy. "So . . . I've been keeping my distance. But it's been really hard, because . . . Besides Professor, I don't really have anybody else. You -- . . ." . . . She was beginning to cry. Every sense in Bryan screamed to move over to the other seat and hug her, but he didn't, and he didn't know why. He couldn't stand to see her cry -- not her. Bryan had done everything in his power over the last . . . Over his whole life to make sure she didn't cry. Had that been too much? "You're the only on - one I have, so I've been rea - really . . . um . . . struggling? I guess? Trying to s - stay a . . . Away from you." Struggling? To stay away? He didn't know what to say, what to reply. Noëlle had always been good at making friends -- what happened to that? When had Bryan become her only one? That couldn't be true, could it? He resisted the urge to rub at his face. "You -- ugh -- you should have protected me, Bryan . . . You should have just let dad . . . !" Noëlle clamped her mouth closed and a surge of anger swept through Bryan. He quickly looked around Benny's -- no one was around to hear her hysterical breakdown, which was a good because he didn't think he could handle dragging her out of here to deal with this elsewhere. Things were not supposed to have turned out like this -- and it was his fault. God, what the hell was he supposed to have done with the ****** dad situation? Let him have his way with him? With mom? With him? Oh god, now he felt like he was going to cry. Under the table, he started to dig his nails into his pant legs, scratching the fabric hard. "I'm s - so sorry . . . I . . . I just love you so much, and I'm so, so, so, scared you're going to leave me . . . I need you, I don't have anyone else, I don't even want them anymore, and I just know one of these days you're going to leave me, especially now that I know you've been sleeping with someone . . ." Bryan stopped. His breathing stopped. Everything stopped. The only thing that didn't stop was the heavy, hard, pounding heart in his chest, terrorizing his rib cage. Bet it was your sister. She looks the type. You sure, love? You obviously haven't seen the way she looks at you sometimes. It honestly looks like she wants to eat you or something. Harley's words hit Bryan like a thousand bullets. "You . . ." he said, breathlessly. He tried not to be angry. Tried not to yell. Tried not to shoot lasers from his eyes. He tried. Tried. "Why were you in my things? I'm not going anywhere. Why did you take my stuff? I'm not going to leave you. Why do you care who I sleep with? I wouldn't leave you. It wasn't even a girl. You're my sister. I'm not dating anyone. I love you. It's none of your business." Bryan's voice fluctuated between frustrated, shaky, scared, worried, and a whole mess of emotions that collided together in a dangerous cyclone. Abruptly, Bryan stood from the table, told Noëlle not to go anywhere, and walked to the restroom, closing and locking the door behind him. He walked over to the mirror and gazed at his own reflection. This felt reminiscent of two years ago, inside that gas station -- except that he wasn't going to cry this time. Bryan didn't know how to feel at the moment. He was mostly troubled -- by everything. Noëlle was lonely. She didn't want to lose him. What would she lose him to? That really shouldn't even be a concern. But Harley had been right; she had taken his stuff -- why? What did that mean? He couldn't think of anything at the moment, but this was a serious point in their siblingship. After all they had been through together, there was no way something like this could take them apart. So here was what he had to do: take it in stride in front of Noëlle, and then completely breakdown to Harley. He wasn't going to tell her about Harley. Whatever this thing was that Bryan had with him, she didn't need to know about it. It wasn't any of her business. She knew that Harley was his friend, but nothing beyond that. He sighed. Beyond everything else, his sister came first. He had to think long and hard about this. He seriously needed to talk to Harley, but after breakfast. With a deep breath, Bryan walked back out of the restroom and joined Noëlle at the table. Their food had been delivered and the smell of it brought a great solace to him, and made his stomach growl. He had to admit, there was nothing like food to make a person feel better. After sitting down, he took a deep breath, and then looked at Noëlle with careful eyes. "Eat." he said with a gentle, calm smile, "It will make you feel better. Enough with the heavy, you know? We can talk about it later. What else do you think we should do today?" Bryan wasn't pretending that everything was okay, but today was supposed to be their day together. He wasn't going to end that early or let it be ruined.

She . . . probably had good reasons for lying to him, right? But she never had before camp two years ago. She was always honest with him -- he was the only one she could be honest with. What had happened to that? It was pretty unfair, now that he thought about it. Bryan was honest with her, for the most part. She could at least return the favor. ". . . What about you? Anything new? Any girlfriend, hahahaha?" She sounded strange. "No girlfriend," he replied easily, and that was true. He didn't have a boyfriend either. Thinking on it, he didn't really know what Harley was. Neither of them had really confirmed their relationship to be of that sort. Sure, they were intimate, open with each other, and Harley was a true friend Bryan knew he could rely on, but what else? "Noëlle, how have you really been?" he asked her, with a bit more force this time. "Be honest." I hate it when you lie to me. he thought with a small spiteful feeling. "Something's been bothering you. I can tell." . . . -ish.

After a day of sound checks and arranging the seats of the orchestra that would play in the pit, Sophie decided to definitely take Pierce up on her offer to come over. Since it was late, it seemed that Sophie would be staying the night, which was doubly-advantageous because spending more time with someone she was very interested in was always a plus. She didn't know what to expect when she walked into the house, but she had been pleasantly surprised at the taste of its interior decorating. She particularly liked the kitchen, since it had the most bright colors that appealed to her, but the living room wasn't so bad. "You have a nice home." she commented to Pierce with a smile. . . . She had to admit though, a lot of the interior matching didn't make much sense. She almost couldn't contain herself when she saw the bathroom. Nicely designed as it was . . . TOO GOTHIC. For a moment, Sophie briefly wondered if Pierce's family might actually be a part of some obscure satanic cult. She smiled at the thought. Pierce led her into her room and at least it had completely matched the bathroom. "You can sleep with me . . . if you want." After dressing in night clothes in the restroom, she smiled. "Don't mind if I do." And then she slipped under the covers next to Pierce, snuggling up next to her with a nyan-ish smile. "Good night, Sophie." "Mmm . . . Good night, Pierce." And then she fell asleep.
[ [ OOC : DON'T FEEL LIKE FORMATTING. ] ] Most of rehearsal had gone boringly, with him keeping to the dressing room. Since Sophie had message him earlier, he had been expecting her to drop by, but she never did. He tried not to be disappointed. It didn't help that Noëlle never emailed him back. He didn't feel so great when it came to thinking about his girls; there were still boundaries that he had yet to cross with them that he wasn't used to haven't already crossing. If that made sense. The thoughts and those similar plagued him on the return trip to his room. When he got in, he stashed his things, and then took a shower. After getting a bite to eat for a snack, he decided to go to sleep. - - - Bryan, after his . . . eventful day, was definitely glad to see that Noëlle had perked up by the time rehearsal was over. It was almost like she was her old self again, and not so secluded from the others as she had made herself out to be within the recent months. It made him feel good. And to top it off, they were going to breakfast tomorrow! He sure hoped she was as excited as he was. Still . . . The lingering doubts in the back of his mind kept him from completely enjoying the thoughts. Hopefully they would get to talk about stuff, maybe he could figure out what was wrong and how she felt. Maybe he would tell her about Harley . . . ? It was a bad idea, Harley had told him. Bryan didn't know why, but he usually never strayed from his advice . . . He sighed. In the car, the two siblings talked animatedly about this or that, and where they were going to go, and maybe they might do something else after breakfast. He considered skipping rehearsals with Noëlle to spend the day with her, since much didn't usually happen on the weekends anyway. It might actually be good for the both of them. Mom would probably try and talk to him again about spending too much time with his sister, but there wasn't much point in listening to her about it. Once siblings, always siblings. When they got home, he ate a bit of dinner, watched some television, and did a few other things for the conductor's score. Before she went to bed, Noëlle reminded him of their date tomorrow, and Bryan smiled and told her he wouldn't forget. After going up stairs and taking a long shower, Bryan dozed off for the night.

We're far away from where anyone else would come, so I doubt anyone heard." he replied lazily, leaning back against the wall he was still pinned to. Harley seemed thoughtful, still breathing warmly into Bryan's neck. ". . . What about that sister of yours?" he asked curiously. Bryan pulled back with a heavy frown, all of his laziness draining out. This, again? No, no, he couldn't let Harley drag him off in that direction. There were enough sown doubts as it were . . . He hummed in reply, deciding not to answer. He wasn't sure what it was, but ever since Harley had met ( well, seen really ) Noëlle, he had made it distinctly clear that he didn't like her, and this was a problem for Bryan because he wanted his sister to met Harley ( As a friend, not a lover or anything! ). She had been really . . . off these last few months, and spending time between the three of them might actually be a good idea! Bryan sighed and leaned into Harley. "We should make ourselves decent. You have to head back to the auditorium, right?" "But it's so faaaaaaar." Bryan whined indignantly. "Carry me." "Please, you weigh too much, little cow." He scoffed, feigning being insulted. "Didn't want you to touch me anyway. Hmph." "You weren't saying that earlier." Harley purred into his hear, sending another shiver coursing down his spine. • • • • • On the way back to the auditorium, Harley and Bryan met up with Sophie, who was just coming back from the copy room. The three chatted for a bit, and then they parted ways with Harley. Bryan and Sophie discussed the music and the changes, the play and the actors. Over the months, she had become less intimidating to him, but the novelty of why he used to have a crush on her didn't wear off. Sophie was a lot more different from other girls he had met during the course of high school and college; she didn't go with the flow, didn't go with what was popular. She did what she liked -- Sophie had the sort of independence that Bryan wished he would have achieved when he was younger. "The orchestra isn't in, today. We'll have to make do with you and I." When the pair walked into the auditorium and Bryan immediately greeted Noëlle with a smile.
W E A R I N G ✖ W R I T I N G ✖ M U S I C MOOD ※ ANNOYED ✖ DAY 4 ※ 1/5 ✖ DATE ※ 09/24/2013 ✖ LOCATION ※ SHOP [/url]Inhaling a breath of fresh air, Hay Sun felt determined to make a good day out of today. To hell with school. To hell with other people. She was going to play it cool, and not flip the fuck out about anything. Now there was only the matter of actually not flipping the fuck out. The being cool part was easy it enough -- it was staying cool. She honestly didn't think it couldn't be that hard; if others could do it, than she could definitely manage, somehow. And it wasn't just about that, or her dad. Some of the pricks from school bet money that she wouldn't be able to stay calm for just one day. Assholes. She was definitely going to prove them wrong. Taking another deep breath, she strode into the shop and greeted her father with a smile. ❝Just in time,❞ he waved, and then motioned to a boy standing next to him, ❝This is Levi, he says he's a friend of yours.❞ Hay Sun gave Levi a once over and resisted rubbing at her forehead. They completely planned this. she thought to herself, while biting the inside of her cheek, I am so fucking done already. Levi waved innocently and Hay Sun forced herself to politely smile and fake it. ❝Hey Levi,❞ she said, feigning cheerfulness, ❝Let's . . . talk somewhere else.❞ This was going to be a long day.

Nutella is a little too rich for me, so I only eat it sparsely. Those Ferrero Rochers are some good shit, though.
