So, here's a slightly more detailed idea from my previous post.

It's midterm/finals week in KHV College, and students of the Psychology 101 course are reaching their limit. One by one, they approach their professor for advice on their problems, ranging from anything like relationship problems to fears of financing their studies to suicidal thoughts. Troubled by the students despair, the professor decided to turn the class into a support group. Slowly, the students start to open up about their problems, make new friends, find love, etc. Of course, we can't go without adversity, so along the way someone might have a complete breakdown, drop out of college completely, and so on.

Yeah, this obviously needs a lot more work, but here's a start.

I've wanted to write a (dark) comedy about people dealing with depression for a while (and not a "ha-ha, look at those wrist slitters"-kinda comedy, something more along with people using humor to cope) but I know I won't have the patience or self restraint to write it on my own. And I know I can't be the only person on the site who is battling/has battled depression, so we'll definitely have some realistic perspective into the issue.

In my head I had it based in a college and the cast included students and teachers, so maybe there could be some kind of a "KHV University/Boarding School," that the characters are attending?

I do like the idea of characters being based on us members, but could cause some problems. Say we write a character specifically for, say, DPWolf, and she for whatever reason isn't capable of doing the voice acting and singing for the part, and we have to settle for someone else. I'm not saying that that person wouldn't do a good job, but it would be kinda weird to hear someone like me playing Wolfie.

I've got a teensy bit of experience in song writing, so I can possible help with lyrics, melodies and harmonies. I'm not too good at composing, though, so I'd probably be useless there...

Nah, you're just a teenager going through a rough patch. You'll find your meaning in life eventually, and it's completely fine if it takes a while.

I know my song isn't terribly long, but would it be okay if I sang just the first verse and chorus? I've got a really narrow window of time to record tomorrow and I'm still struggling with the song... If I do have time I'll sing the entire thing, but I just wanted to know if I had another option...

You'll have some familiar (and hopefully close) people around you, right? Cause I've had two, three mental breakdowns since the move due to things not going the way I planned (a.k.a not having a job/education giving even more expenses e.t.c), and I probably would've ended up in a mental hospital if I didn't have family around (helps when your aunt is a psychotherapist, too).

And be prepared for almost unbearable home sickness. I've tried to go back home for visits every six months or so (another added expense ;D), and I still miss my family more and more, and occasionally feel guilty about leaving them behind, even though it was better for me to leave. And trust me, even if your home life was complicated, even a toxic place to be in, it's pretty likely you'll feel homesick occasionally.

It could also be that they're trying to make the characters more relatable to those of us who are obese. It may not appeal to all of us, but a sizable amount of people (especilly in the US and some European countries)are considered overweight, and the entertainment industry certainly doesn't mirror this image.

Maybe some viewers complained about the word being used? And personally, I rate damn as pretty low on the cursing scale (e.g. my uncle is fine with me using that word in front of his kids, but ass would probably cross a line).

I do agree that it's odd that b*tch isn't being censored, but I don't think it's a case about stupidity. More like sensitivity and a dissonance in values, but not intelligence necessarily.

Yeah, unless you have a job secured before moving, or you have relatives/friends who you can stay with, I'd recommend against it. I moved abroad over a year ago and I'm still living with relatives, and it took me 18 months of looking for jobs in two continents before I managed to find one, and even then it's just a seasonal position.

And note that Vivi said you'd probably need £500/month. I strongly recommend you secure enough money for the entire summer (so 2-3 months, I'm guessing?) before leaving. Cause else you'll be screwed if you can't land a job after all.
