I found some interest in the cirque du freak novels, as I simply can't pass a vampire book by without stopping for a quick flick through the pages. I now own all of them, and I would say they are rather good. As for the Demonata books, I'm unsure. I got to Wolf Island, and I began to find his writing a little young for me; I'm all for complex sentences and detailed descriptions. I just didn't find it satisfactory from then on.
If the cleaners are willing to work for the pay, then heck, why not? It isn't exactly slavery.
...Huh? lolwhitetext
avvy: 5/10 it's a nice pie, but it ain't got no cream =/ ...siggy?
I do love my skinny jeans.
@wolfie: overall: 9/10 @Braveheart Avvy: 7/10 nice effects, but rather plain. sig: 3/10 not that enticing to look at really.
(OOC: I'm up for anything, and for the record, I may not be replying as often. Coursework is being a bitch and it's just getting tiring too quickly. I'm sorry, and I will try to reply as soon as I can.)
Hmm. I’m not sure whether I like this or not, to be honest. The background is all right, and has decent shading that doesn’t leave it looking too bland. The leaves are a bit plain, and could do with some more varied shading to emphasise the shape and curves or the leaves. On a brighter note, the veins are well done. As for the wings of the butterfly, yes, it is symmetrical, but it seems... odd, in a way. The veins are nicely done, but the pattern lining the edges are rather childish, to put it into words. Perhaps next time you could have the black fade into the black lines that form the boxes on the bottom half of the wings? That might help it seem less robotic. The body, as previously stated, is far too pointed towards the bottom. But, despite me being a fussy bitch, all is good. Keep it up.
So, I have grasped the fact that when the foetus is yet to be developed, it is still classed as killing them. I know I stated one of many situations, but that is probably one of the predominant in my mind at this moment in time. I mean, we could list hundreds of different scenarios and what could happen if the child is/isn’t aborted, but I’m not going to waste my time and energy doing so. Going with the situation I stated as an example, would you still agree with the infant living a bad childhood? Having a bad up bringing around bad influences? Do you still think its right to put a child through that, all for the sake of a small foetus that people feel is wrong to kill, despite it having no feelings or emotions at all?
I know that I wouldn't have put up with that whatsoever. I am one to let my mouth run away with me in almost all situations, and with my vicious nature to back me up, I’m almost positive I would have started an argument. I don’t put up with shit from inconsiderate assholes who think it’s clever to spread that stinking shit around my air. I think – no, I know – I would have swiped it out of his hand and punched him if he didn’t put it out. I’m just that type of girl, I suppose.
I’m all for abortion. My opinion on this matter is in no way induced by my opinion on children, just for the record. I think that if the child is going to be brought up by a mother who is a) Irresponsible b) Uneducated in the art of contraception c) Obviously not married with a secure job So, please tell me, why the hell should a child suffer because the mother and father didn’t wear protection? For the mother to learn a lesson? That is just cruel on the child’s part, and if that child is to be brought up in the wrong environment by the wrong people, and possibly taken into care due to bad living conditions and so on, then how is the mother learning her lesson? She’ll have a screaming child to dump onto her mother when she goes to school and fuck about in lessons, and come home, work on a Saturday, get her money, buy booze, **** and whatever the hells SHE wants, and then work on the kid. But oh no, if that happens in this country, child benefits gets dished out to the pathetic scum who spend it on crap for themselves. I’m just speaking this from what I have seen around me, and therefore my opinion has built from this. Abortion should remain legal. (Damn, I get easily annoyed on this subject.)
This thread confuses my brain. What's for tea? c:
Love winter, love summer. The seasons inbetween I hate with a great passion. Especially spring. It's so boring.
(OOC: Sorry for not replying sooner, hun. THis post may be rather crappy.) Larxene smirked, leering upwards towards the man before her. She was yet to know his name, and why exactly he was willing to get himself hurt for bitter amusement. Did he want to be hurt? Possibly. Then again, perhaps he didn’t. Perhaps he just wanted to fight, to argue, to release aggression in a lapse of boredom. Her fist tightened, forcing a small creak to slip from the leather that tightened around her hard knuckles. He asked for this. She reminded herself, her smirk still intact. With her fists blurred, she jabbed several times, hitting the man before her directly in his jaw with each swing. The cracks erupted shuddered through the bland walls, along with the sizzling static that seemed to be emitted in the process. Stepping back, the Nymph laughed a little, flexing her hands excessively. She waited to see his response, which, from what she could gather, would be either happy or rather...livid. “Well that was fun.†She commented, raising an eyebrow as she folded her arms.
Awesome stuff Rayku. Good job. Well, I suppose that this poem has a deep meaning behind it. Hope you all like it <3 A saviour Azure eyes flashing through subtle shades, Another sickening happy facade. The rebirth promised will always be tomorrow, Hearts burst into flames that lick with sorrow. Gasping for air with lungs desperate and dry, Tears flooding the eyes with a meaning so wry, Desperation for that motherly twinkle in the eye, The type that will always come tomorrow. A scream that echoes throughout the land, A scream triggered by a reprimand, A scream recoiling from the hand, The sun will always shine tomorrow. A saviour arises from amidst the blue, Wipes away the salty residue, Coos the child a sweet lullaby, And to the violence, she waves goodbye.
I’d just like to make clear how downright irritating it is to have you assume that Larxene ‘hurt’ Demyx. I’m not going to make a scene over this,...
