I'm not as well-informed about American politics, but you just put my exact thoughts on the whole matter into words. And as far as my guess for the productivity issue goes; I'd put my money on the latter. Perhaps the Republicans will prioritize the reversal of sensitive Democrat laws before actually putting something new on the table...and by then the time may have come for another election round already. XD Politics does suck. I feel your pain, mate. At least you have a government. XD
It's hilarious how some of the supposedly mature members of KHV cheer: at an opportunity to flaunt their knowledge: and, sporadically, other abilities: to someone who is obviously either a troll or a 10 year old: Nice move, boys and girls. You never fail to amuse.
Nice attempt to twist his words, but believe me when I say that it makes you look more foolish than he does. I am going to state the obvious here in case you really didn't see through his words rather than bending it to your will just to show your talents at "sarcasm" (which I suspect you of). Obviously he meant that unwanted children run a higher risk of not receiving the care they deserve once they are put onto this world. It is harder to love an unwelcome child, a thorn in the couple's life planning. Before you jump to conclusions, I'll do it for you: yes, this does leave the door wide open for convenience abortion, but it's also a valid argument for those who I feel are entitled to it. But that's another discussion.
Do people even read the first post these days? It clearly says "You can't age" and "You can't die". Since the OP said that you can feel pain, I seriously doubt you'd ever finish such an endeavor. Not to mention you won't be seeing anything of "what's down there" since you're experiencing the excrutiating pain that is water pressure. Also, crime isn't cool, kids. Having "becoming known for crime" as a goal isn't something to be proud of. What are the first things you would do? The first things? If I don't age, then what does it matter? I will do a lot of things I never could before, that I am sure of, but I don't think anything will have priority over the other. On the other hand...maybe the first thing I'd do is keep a log of what happens in my life and who I meet. With accumulating so much information would surely arise the need to sacrifice other memories. A logbook will at least slow down that process. How would you continue living your life? Obviously I'll take more risks as far as my body is concerned. I might take up a couple more university courses so that I can cover all my interests. I'll write more, amongst other things I delay due to time constraints. Overall, I'll be more laid-back than I am at present, and that's saying something. Do you think you would get bored eventually? I don't know. The ever-changing status of the planet in all its facets may be enough to keep me interested, or it may not. A very difficult question to answer at this point (I may come up with a decent answer if I give up more though, but screw that). I'll pass on this one. If you got bored, would you die if there was a way to do so? If I get bored then obviously, yes.
I'm sorry, I'm not an expert on this. You might want to ask one of the admins. They should have the necessary skills. I think the sections are...
I agree with this. The nature and properties of the internet is not a discussable topic. -locked- The data from the internet is stored in computers, which I assure you mostly exist on solid ground. It is merely transmitted via electromagnetic waves, which may more or less "exist in the airwaves", as you charmingly put it. My parents own a house. I have access to it. Try again. This is very true.
I'm very sorry to hear that. Like Bushido said, there's nothing you "should" feel. Just let it all out if that is what you want. Only talk about it when you want to and who you want to talk to, not just because they ask. Don't worry about getting over it yet. Things may sort themselves out in due time, but that needn't be a concern to you right now. Again, my condolences about this terrible loss.
What do you need advice on exactly? That part wasn't very clear to me.
Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull A weaker sequel to the previous ones. It had some interesting scenes but the plot was a little too far-fetched for my taste.
You're not the only one, believe me. I've actually stayed awake thinking that over.
Styx and friends went to London and waged war with the British underage drinking policy. Initial (utopic) goal: - play Circle Of Death with all 6 members, 5 underage, in an English pub - get loaded because of it - get away with it What we accomplished: - played Circle Of Death with all 6 members in our room in the youth hostel (where it is forbidden as well) - half of us got loaded due to having been drinking in a pub beforehand (the other half got ID checked and kicked out somewhere else), the other half got mildly light-headed - got away with it So who do you think was the victor? === As for the details of our operation... Our invasion of Russell Square was hardly successful at first [entry to the bar of our very hostel was denied] so we scouted another area occupied by the enemy. [we went shopping near London and looking for nice-looking drinkeries] Alas, we suffered great defeat in the Battle Of Soho the next day [we got ID checked and kicked out after we paid for our drinks] but we retaliated by conquering Shakespeare's Head [a pub where we even talked with the bartenders without getting ID checked] In our winning streak a small batallion of shock troopers recovered our base and claimed loot that the enemy had forgotten [Me and my cousin snuck into the bar in the later hours and we picked up some French chicks] However, the enemy brought re-inforcements the next day and we were forced to retreat. [We snuck in again, but after a while some guy came up to us to check our IDs yet again] All seemed lost and some officers were contemplating a surrender. [They went gaming and shopping instead] We convinced them by winning the Battle Of Cornwallis and planting our flag in its surface. [another pub, played a full Circle Of Death there, but not with all participants sadly] An area that another batallion had conquered before, however, fell into enemy hands. The Battle Of John Russell was lost. [You guessed it: ID check as soon as we barged in with the full party] Our final plan was to raid the enemy base and plant our flag there once and for all, but not without compromising. [We bought a crate of beer and smuggled it in our room, but we gave up the bar.] Private Styx, reporting back in.
But IVF isn't the default either, so how is this relevant?
I made a new poetry contest. Will you please stick it and close the old one? Thanks.
