I hate iMovie '11 with a passion, and I am seeking a new video editor for Mac. That is all.
Sabby explained the post you mentioned. Skycat had posted a link to her own Voxli room, and had apparently done so before, explaining why it was...
Updated with an additional section.
You being staff is SO inconvenient. It means I can't ban you in a spurt of indignant dictatorship. Stop getting in the way of my hormone-based emotional outbursts. I need to rage at someone at least once a month. ohwaitthat'sgirls:lolface:
Tie rope to waist. Tie rope to side of bridge. Tie chicken wire around neck. Tie chicken wire to side of bridge. Make chicken wire shorter than the rope. Tape hands to the side of your head. Jump. You will be left hanging off a bridge, holding your own decapitated head. THAT is an awesome way to go, and if there were some way for me to see the results of my epic prank, I'd do it in a heartbeat. The downside is the whole 'dying' thing. On the note of suicide, I'd much rather try to turn around my life first. If I'm willing to go for suicide, I've hit rock bottom, so the only way to go is up. So any direction I can go in is a positive direction. So I'd try everything I could to turn around my situation, be it drugs, murder or talking to someone. If I fail, I can always just take the suicidal way out.
I'd like to join in, if possible. Does anyone have suggestions for what to use on a Mac?
Here we go.
It's not that bad. Nothing like 120 Days of Sodom

Joining and suggesting Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita.
Another flaw of notebooks: despite seeing the message in them, you can completely forget about doing it. Case in point: I got distracted typing out that post, and forgot to put the headphones in my bag. >_> With the ring idea, it'll become incredibly frustrating for multiple tasks, or if you forget what you're doing, but still see the ring on the to-be-done hand. It has the potential to become a nightmare. A checklist works better in the long-term. (In the short-term though, for small tasks, the ring could keep you on-task.)
Oh good. Looks like they're going to pay for it. That's a good deal of your troubles sorted, isn't it? The hyperfocus should become easier as you practice it more. Are other parts of your life fairly stable? (e.g. exercise, sleep, etc.) I hear that getting good routine going for them can help a lot. Personally, I've taken to noting things to do down in a notebook. For example, just now I remembered to put headphones in my bag for school, because a friend wants to try to fix them.
Fill the room entirely!
Flip a coin. It's ever so liberating.
Yeah, what Kelly said. Join us and such. Tactics include Umineko music and spamming waves of clones.
Interesting story. It's great how you've turned around your life and are heading somewhere. Congratulations, really. On the note of what to do about your medical issues, see what sort of health care you can get from your government. Depending on where you live, you could get your medicine heavily subsidised. If you cannot get any government funding, it would probably be best to sit down and have a talk with your friend's family about it. Explain that you'll pay as much as you can, and that you're grateful for everything they've done for you. You should be getting a job soon, so you can get cash from there, if need be. Your ADD sounds like a fairly serious case, so it may be worthwhile investigating medication for it. That said, treatment can be expensive, and pills often have side effects. (e.g. Leaving you in a zombie-like state, etc.) So I'd suggest looking for other treatments that you can do yourself. From a quick google search, there appears to be a lot of stuff out there for ADD/ADHD, so you should be able to find something that works for you. Here's one link that looked fairly useful for non-medicinal treatment, while this one seems to be a comprehensive examination of the different treatments available to you. (Although there are links down the bottom of that page to other extremely interesting and potentially useful articles.) Good luck with working through your problems. It sounds as though you've been through a lot.
I'd say that ultimately, Lulsec was successful in its goal. The hacking of companies will cause security to be improved, so no lasting damage has been done. All that has happened is that a few companies have been caught with their pants down. While this is illegal, there hasn't been any reports of credit card abuse or the like, which leads me to believe that Lulsec really was 'in it for the lulz' as opposed to monetary gain. This makes their actions far more admirable than if they were merely out for some quick cash. Ultimately, they garnered attention and got their message out to the world. Whether it matters in the end, I don't know, but it's certainly a worthwhile message.
Good job. How'd you manage to land an interview with him?
I like the idea, but the execution could use some work. Firstly, do it in a brighter area so as to maximise the contrast between the white sheet and the pen. The brighter the white is, the more the pen will stand out. If the paper is grey, then it won't be as effective. Secondly, use a better pen. Preferably one that's smoother flowing. This'll hit two birds with one stone, as it'll make the words darker, while meaning you don't have to press as hard. Oh yeah, pressing hard on the paper is bad. Things from the other side can show up, and it creases the paper, making it look messy. Kill all crinkles. They really do take away from the effect. Consider ironing the paper briefly? Don't let the paper get dirty. As before, the less grey, the better. Consider leaving some more space on the edges of the photographs. Currently, it is quite arduous to read the entire thing, because the text is so spread out, and there's no natural place for my eye to focus on. I think the coloured-in text works a lot better than the outline text. Easier to see. I'm not sold on the background being included. While it can have an interesting effect in some cases, I feel that you're not fully utilising it. Also, it takes away from the contrast. Have you considered scanning in the work instead of photographing it?
Elfen Lied had a good story and good ideas, but the endings for both the manga and the anime were lacklustre and morally disappointing. Still a...
