"Yeah, that's right!" Mina yelled out after the fleeing Viral. "WE! HUMANS! who kicked your furry asses!" She turned back and whistled at the remnants of the explosion that Kamina and Simon had caused in Gurren Lagann with their Giga Drill Break. "I talked about us being left behind huh? And then you go and do that. Guess the only one being left behind is me." The girl mumbled with a small smirk on her face. Kokuren's mouth opened up and the hatch along with it as Mina stood at the entrance of her Gunman breathing in the fresh air and taking in the sight of Dai-Gunzan. Now their's. Now a home for all of Team Dai-Gurren.
She looked over at Simone who was still Lagann Impacted into the giant Gunman base.
I'm proud of you most of all though sis. You've grown. What you did took guts, and... I knew you had it in you all along. I can tell, girl. You're just going to keep surprising me.
All the team had survived without any casualties in such an operation. But of course... only Team Dai-Gurren could be capable of such a feat. Mina looked around at all the members; those in mechas, those on the ground and those coming out of Dai-Gunzan from the inside.
She looked up to the sky and started laughing, before she screamed out as loud as she could... a cry of victory, "JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!"


Simone sat inside Lagann having watched with wide eyes as Simon and Kamina just obliterated Tymilph with their sheer power. The sight had been truly incredible and awe inspiring. She looked over at Genome too as he addressed some sort of new arrival who had commandeered his other Gunman. She had just been out to get out of Lagann and enquire when suddenly she heard Mina in the distance let out a cry of victory designed to rile and excite all of the other team members too. The smile on Simone's face was so wide and adorable. She had actually for the first time in her life felt like she had helped work towards and achieve something. She hadn't done it alone, but that just made it so much better. This was a victory that their whole family had achieved together. A memory she would never forget.

Anya usually never showed an interest in anything that others did, but yet again she found her eyes locked on the stage as the group performance started. The theme of the piece was blatantly obvious to those who knew what to look for, but again... all the same... it could be just as easily missed by those who plain weren't looking. The performance was more than just a simple show. More than just a class project... It was a masterpiece, and more importantly... It was A STATEMENT.
Anya's predictions when she had been listening in to the group's conversation earlier had definitely come true, but at the same time they had been completely proven false. This performance was a lot more than even she had expected. She knew this class was going to be interesting and it certainly was proving to be more and more.
As the performers left the stage, minus Alice who couldn't be seen, but Anya presumed she had left somehow... whatever her power may be, because it was obviously some sort of power that was used... was it teleportation? Invisibilty? Perhaps an Illusion. Either way, the girl was gone. Vanished into thin air. Madam Lumia was clearly uncomfortable, but she congratulated the performers who she could see none-the less. As others around her clapped, albeit weakly, Anya as expected refrained from clapping herself. She did however catch Nix's eye as he sat down and she gave him yet again a nod of understanding. Again... the performance had reached people and he deserved to know it.
Now it was some guy called Sam who was meant to be going next. Anya's eyes flickered over to the stage again as a quick smirk flashed across her face for a brief instance before vanishing. "...Not bad. Not bad at all." her voice came out quietly and to nobody in particular, since Anya wasn't talking to anyone at all. The words just came out like that for the first time.
It wouldn't be long now. The next performance would start, and then... after that... Well.

"We're an unstoppable combination of spirit! Nothing you throw at us will ever take us down! JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!" Mina yelled out as she continued to kick ass all around her. Gunman after Gunman just fell against the might of Kokuren Lagann and the other members of Team Dai-Gurren. Kamina was facing off against Viral on his own, but Mina had no doubts that he could handle it. Everything was going to plan. Or... so she thought.​

Simone shuddered in her seat, her gut instinct about Simon growing worse and worse. Were they possibly linked? How was she able to tell what was going on with him? It didn't matter. She just knew. It was more than speculation, and more than a guess. It was fact. Something had hit Simon hard and shaken him up. Something was affecting him badly, and at this rate... it'd cause the plan to fail. ...That wasn't what was on Simone's mind though. Of course she wanted the plan to succeed, but she found herself caring more about Simon. The way he had just ran off and hid in Lagann last night, and what seemed to be his general mindset today was stuck in her mind, eating away at her like a rotten disease. What should she do? How could she help? She wanted to, but how?​

As her despair grew... suddenly warm flowed through her and flashbacks of Mina always being there for her and encouraging her were in her mind. Simon needed that kind of support right now. But Kamina was busy leading the assault and Mina was busy kicking ass.​

...Simone gripped at the controls of Lagann, clenching her fists. "Just... believe..." She whispered softly, it barely audible as the words escaped her lips. "Just believe." ​

She resolved herself. "Mina! Throw me!"​

"What? I don't get what you mean! You actually want me to throw you?" Mina exclaimed in surprise.​

"I need to get to Simon, right now!" The young girl pleaded to her older sis, trying to explain.​

"Huh? What's going on with him?" she questioned, looking over to Simon who was desperately trying to overtake Dai-Gunzan and then at Simone via the comm-screen. "Heh... do what you can, girl."​

Simone nodded firmly and that's when Mina set herself to her course of action.
Kokuren Lagann's arm came rising up and gripped it's head, instantly pulling it away from the body. "RIGHT! HEY! SIMON! SIMONE! BOTH OF YOU... LET'S SEE YOU GRIT THOSE TEETH!" and Kokuren's arm drew back and then threw Lagann at high speed towards Simon's Lagann in what was like a perfect baseball throw. Lagann went soaring through the air, Simone literally taking her sis's advice and gritting her teeth as Lagann impacted the other Lagann, shaking both pilots inside to their core. As if on cue, both Lagann's opened their cockpits and Simone was thrown from her Lagann into Simon's arms, embracing him instantly. "Simon! I don't know what has gotten into you... but snap out of it!" The timid girl found her words had a lot more power behind her than usual. "It doesn't matter about what has happened or what will happen. Who cares about what-ifs, if only's and maybes...? Don't be afraid Simon... please..." She hugged him tighter, surprised at her own boldness. "You're not alone... you have the whole of Team Dai-Gurren behind you... supporting you... and you have me supporting you. Just believe in us like we believe in you. It's like what sis- ...sorry... It's what Kamina and Mina always say... just believe in the them that believe in us. ...I believe in you. So believe in me too right? ...if one drill isn't enough... then you also have mine. ...We can pierce the heavens together. We're the same person. We're... siblings too."

Simon just felt numb and in shock as the pure words from the girl flowed into him. ...If she could say such things... and she was the same as him... then surely he could believe in the words that she also believed in. As she let go of him, he looked at her almost in awe, taken aback by her sibling comment. "Simone... thanks. I'll believe too."

Simone nodded as she pulled away from him and offered him a timid smile, but her eyes seemed determined. She pulled her way back into Lagann. "Let's end this, we've got this battle won. Bro..."
The green dial on her Lagann seemed to fill to max as she gripped her controls and Lagann zoomed off high into the air under her command. She gripped the controls even tighter and then thrust them forward. "...LAGANN IMPACT!" The drill at Lagann's base emerged as Lagann came crashing back down and pierced Dai-Gunzan's hull, aiding in the take over attempt.

Meanwhile... back with Mina who had been looking on, she smirked as her face appeared on the comm-screen of Kamina's Gurren as she moved her Kokuren to stand beside him and take on Viral alongside him."Hey, leader." She spoke softly, showing her gentle side that Kamina would know too well from his own personality. "We have pretty amazing siblings, don't we?" She asked. The question was clearly rhetorical, but that didn't matter. "We better be careful, or we'll fall behind." Her smirk grew bigger into a grin, as Kokuren took a battle ready position alongside Gurren, facing off against Viral.
