    -Tokyo Underground-
"Hey, what's up with you two?" he called back to them, greeting them with a smile.
"You fall in here? Sorry about that! I might've dug a little close to the surface back there. You aren't hurt, right?" Asked a young man further into the tunnel.
"Nah, I'm fine...My ass is a little sore from the drop, though..." Kamina responded, rubbing his bruised hind-quarters.
    "I'm okay too..."
The young man stood up and walked toward Kamina and Simon.
He seemed to be eyeing Simon for some odd reason.
"Hey, you there. Uh... short kid. You're exactly like me, aren't ya?" he said, looking at him, his grin growing larger. "You're a digger at heart, just like me! Man, being underground like this must be just what your nature led you to, right? Let me show you some of the stuff I found down here."
"A...Digger?" Simon asked while the young man rummaged through his pockets.
"Y'know...I think this guy's right. Digging's in your blood, ain't it? Your old man used to be a miner. He spent most of his days underground."
Simon thought for a moment...It's true that his father was a miner, but Simon had rarely been underground in his life.
Then again...Being inside of this tunnel felt very natural to him, as if he belonged there.
Finally, the young man took out a small green gemstone.
Simon looked at it in awe. It was so beautiful!
"Pretty nice, huh? It's something I found recently. One of my favourites."
"Yeah! It's so shiny and beautiful!"
"Little jewels like that usually ain't my type o' thing, but I gotta say that's one cool lookin' gem."
Just then, the young man took Simon by the wrist, opened his hand and placed the gemstone in it.
"Keep it. Consider it a token of our kinship as diggers! The name's Andy. Andy W. Hol. I'm an Element user of Nintendo High."
"W-Wow...Thanks! My name is Simon. Nice to meet you, Andy. I go to Nintendo High, too."
    "And I'm..."
Kamina tossed his shirt to the side in a badass manner, as he usually does on a daily basis, before pointing his manly finger towards the tunnel's ceiling.
"The Mighty Kamina! I'm Nintendo High's most badass student! In fact, I even helped ward off those smelly aliens who were scoopin' up all the chicks not too long ago!"
"All you did was yell at them..."
"And wouldn't ya know it, they ran off, wettin' their little alien pants the whole way home!"
    "..."
Just then, the drill necklace the Simon wore began to glow a light green for a moment before fading.
This glow-fade pattern repeated over and over, along with a deep noise being heard every time the drill lit up.
    "Wh-What the!?"
"What's goin' on? Your necklace just started glowing."
    "I...I don't..."
Simon then noticed something up ahead. In the wall of the tunnel, something else was glowing.
Everything about the glow was exactly the same. The pattern, the color. The only difference was that the glow coming from the wall was brighter.
Simon was afraid to go over and check it out...His necklace had never done that before...
He remembered back to the day his father brought it home. He said he had found it in the mines while he was working, but didn't know what it was for.
Could that light be what the yellow drill on Simon's neck was used for?
    "Go ahead, Simon."
    "H-Huh?"
    Simon looked up at Kamina.
"It's just like Andy said, you're a digger at heart. That drill is your soul! So whatever's over there isn't just connected to your drill, it's connected to your soul!"
    "It's connected...To my soul?"
Simon looked back towards the green light in the distance.
He was still scared, but he knew he had to go check it out. He had to do it for his father.
"Okay, Dad...Today I'm gonna find out what your gift really is!"
Simon then began to hesitantly walk towards the light, his fear of what was over there only growing.
Finally, he reached the source. Through a hole in the wall, he could see what looked to be a closed eye.
"See anything, Simon?" Kamina asked from afar.
"It's just...An eye." Simon said before touching it.
It had a cold, metallic exterior.
He rubbed his hands across the dirt surrounding the eye, revealing more and more of it.
As he removed the thin layer of dirt from whatever was there, it was revealed that it was more than an eye, but rather an entire face.
"Bro, Andy, I found a face!"
    "A face...?"
"I'm gonna try and dig it out. Just gimme a sec." Simon said before unbuttoning his shirt and removing it.
He then began to dig deeper into the dirt with his bare hands.
It took a while, but finally Simon had dug around the face enough to reveal that it was actually a small mecha.
The console on the inside was glowing the same color as Simon's drill.
Simon also noticed a dirty, folded piece of paper strapped to one of the handles with a rubber band.
Unwrapping and unfolding the note, Simon dusted it off as he began to read.
He couldn't believe what he was reading...It was from his father!
    Simon,

I don't know how long it will be before you read this, if you even read this at all, but if you are reading this, then you've probably found the mine that I used to work in. It probably also means that I'm not around anymore. As I write this, the mine is caving in, and there's not much time left. I wish I could come home and see you and your mother one last time, so I can tell you how much you both mean to me. But enough of that, there isn't time. First I have to apologize. I lied to you about not knowing the function of the small drill that I gave you. It's actually called a Core Drill, and it serves as the key to the Gunman that you found this note in. Just insert it into the hole on the console and turn it. Everything else should make sense of itself from there. The Gunman's name is Lagann, by the way, but you can name it whatever you like. I found Lagann myself in a different mine years ago, and have been using it to dig up different things in this mine for years, but now I leave it to you. Before I go, there are a few more things I'd like to say. One, try and stay away from that Kamina kid. I hear he's a real troublemaker. Secondly, if you ever meet a boy named Joey Jones, be sure to tell him that your old man knew his dad, and that Mr. Jones was an amazing man. Finally, I just want to say that I love you, Simon. You're the best son a father could have. Give my love to your mother for me, too.

    Love,
    Papa

Simon's hands were trembling and his eyes were flooding with tears as he read this.
    "D-Dad..."
    Just then, Kamina approached Simon.
"What's the matter, Simon? Is something wrong with the face-thing?"
Kamina then noticed the note in Simon's hands.
    "What's this note?"
Kamina quickly read the note, noticing the bottom where the original writer's name was written.
"So it's from your old man...Simon. Stop crying. This isn't what your dad would want."
Simon looked up at Kamina, tears still rolling down his face.
"Listen, Simon, do you think your old man would want his son sobbin' his eyes out? Hell no. He would want you to get in that thing and make a difference in the world."
"He's dead, Bro...Both of my parents are dead...How could someone who's dead want anything?"
"Dead? Who the hell said they were dead!? Your mom's been with you your whole life, and you just now found your dad, too!"
    "Wh...What?"
"Right here, Simon. Your mom's been with you here." Kamina said as he grabbed Simon's core drill.
    "In...My drill?"
"Exactly. And your dad lives on in Lagann. He's been sittin' here in the ground just waiting for you to find him. And now that you have, the whole family's back together."
"The whole family..." Simon said to himself.

Simon looked closely at his Core Drill. He could see his mother's face clearly in his mind.
He then looked at Lagann. He could see his father's face just as clearly.
He looked back up at Kamina.

    "You're...You're right, bro!"
    Kamina smiled.
"That's the spirit! Now hop in that thing and let's see what it can do!"
Simon nodded before folding the note back up and placing it in his pocket, along with the green gem that Andy had given him.
He hopped inside Lagann, removing the Core Drill from the string it was attached to.
A vivid image of Simon, his mother, and his father was visible in his head.
Simon inserted the Core Drill into Lagann's ignition, and turned it.
A spiraling energy meter began to fill up around the ignition.
Lagann's eyes and mouth opened wide, green light shining brightly from them.
    "This...This is...!"
Two arms then folded out from Lagann's back, followed by two legs emerging from the bottom of it.
    "It's working!" Simon said loudly.
Suddenly, Lagann's thrusters engaged, sending Lagann and Simon flying around the inside of the inside of the tunnel wildly.
"How do I stop this thiiiiiing!?"
Suddenly, Simon had the instinctive feeling to pull back on the handles.
Doing so, Lagann's feet began to grind into the ground, slowing it down.
Finally, Lagann came to a halt, Simon breathing heavily after the experience.

    "Simon...THAT WAS AWESOME!"
"How did my dad use this thing if it does that!?"
    Kamina looked back at Andy.
"Yo, Andy, you're a digger, right? You got yourself a Lagann too?"

Here is some WiiU gameplay. It shows three levels; One from Windy Hill and two from Desert Ruins. The audio from the game itself is kinda quiet, as there is an IGN rep talking to a Dev during the video. How the game plays is explained as well as how the different levels work. Personally, I think this game could be the one that truly brings Sonic's reputation out of the rut that it's been in. Colors and Generations were good, but I have a feeling Lost Worlds will be excellent.

Gonna have to say no on Fugaku, sorry. Having him around would make things difficult plot-wise, so it's probably best to keep him out.

    ~Temporal Tower~
"Why do you lie to him. You are not the real Madara Uchiha O-" Rin stopped, as if catching herself about to say the wrong thing.
    "-Tobi."
"Hmph. You'd be doing yourself a favor to watch what you say, child." Madara threatened.
There was a moment of silence before Rin spoke again.
"The jutsu is very powerful. How did you manage to perform it?"
"A good question. It's simple really. You only need to components to perform this jutsu. A piece of DNA from the person you want to reanimate, and a sacrificial body to put their soul in."
Kabuto walked over to the edge of the room, where a wall of small compartments was.
Opening two of the compartments, he took out their contents.
In one hand he held what looked to be a breastplate in the shape of a blue skull.
In the other hand was a piece of bright-yellow metal, that didn't seem to have properties of any known metals.
"Today's your lucky day, Rin. You get to see me reanimate two people not from our original world."
Placing the items on the ground, Kabuto took out the scroll for the reanimation jutsu.
    "Madara?"
A spiraling wave if spacial distortion emerged from Madara's exposed eye, where two more of Kabuto's seemingly endless sacrifices emerged, already tied up.
"Excellent. Now, first I will perform a reanimation that I had promised that purple girl with the tentacles."
Kabuto placed the skull breastplate on the now-unraveled scroll.
The usual markings spread across the floor under the first of the two sacrifices.
    "Edo Tensei!"
The sacrifice's body was then painfully covered in ash.
After a few moments, the ash fell, revealing the form of a young zombie-like girl with purple hair and skin(ooc: she's on the right). The upper half of her dress was a dark purple, while the bottom half was all black. On her chest was the blue skull breastplate that Kabuto used. Her most distinct feature, however, was the small green dragon-like creature that seemed to go through her skull.
Kabuto examined the first of the two reanimatees.
"So this is what she wanted. At first glance she'd look to be undead...Interesting. Moving on."
Kabuto removed the skull breastplate from the scroll and positioned himself in the direction of the other sacrifice.
He placed the bright metal on the scroll, and the markings appeared again.
"Edo Tensei!" Kabuto said, clapping his hands together.
This sacrifice underwent the same painful process that the other did as his screams of pain were muffled by the ash covering his body.
The ash fell, and a woman sat where the sacrifice once did.
"She looks like an ordinary woman. What use is she?"
"Don't judge a book by it's cover, Madara. You never know what kind of power a person holds until you're on the receiving end of it."
Kabuto then summoned a coffin around the second body, sealing it away before the coffin sunk back into the floor.
Standing up, Kabuto prepared one of the order-carrying Kunai knives for the first girl.
"You are to follow any order given to you by Zone. You are her pawn, now."
As Kabuto stopped speaking, markings formed on the once-blank tag that hung from the end of the knife.
He then slipped the knife into the back of the girl's neck, bringing her to life.
"H-Huh? Where...am I?" The girl muttered as she awoke.

"Welcome back to life. You were reanimated as a favor to someone. The name of your new master should be entering your mind any second."
There was a moment of silence.
    "Z...Z...Zone?"
    "Correct."
The green dragon-like creature that went through the girl's head, named Leviathan, looked at Kabuto with it's red eyes.
    It growled at him.
"My, my, what a feisty little serpent you have."
As Kabuto spoke, a white snake slithered out from inside his hood and hissed at Leviathan.
"Hey snake-boy, are you done yet?" Zone asked as she entered the room once more.
Before Kabuto could answer, she noticed Squigly standing next to Kabuto.
    "Question answered."
Zone approached Squigly and gave a quick look.
"Yep, this is her. Nice job."
    "Are you...Zone?" Squigly asked.
"That's me. Now, come with me, I'll give you the run-down of how things work here." Zone said as she led Squigly out of the room.
"That girl...I can see her being a hindrance."
"It doesn't matter if she is or not. One wrong move and I can turn her new pawn against her in an instant."
"Oh? But didn't you set her to follow Zone's explicit orders?"
"I did. But regardless of what orders I place in the reanimated person, I can always override it. That's how Edo Tensei works."
"I see. My, you're nearly invincible, Kabuto. Don't let that power go to your head. It just might be your downfall."
    Kabuto disregarded Madara's warning.
"Now we need to get things started with Rin. You're sure she can handle what we have planned?"
    "Yes. She is plenty capable."
    "Excellent."
Madara walked over to Rin and stood her up.
"Time to go." He said before taking her over next to Kabuto.
A spiraling wave of distortion formed from Madara's visible eye, and the three of them disappeared.
Meanwhile, Viral, still with the recently-reanimated General Thymilph, knew he had to report what he's seen to the Spiral King. Even if he didn't, the fact that Thymilph was 'alive' again would eventually reach the King.
"As soon as we're out of here, Lord Thymilph, we must first report to the Spiral King. The things going on in here cannot go unmentioned."

Simon and his Assassin servant made their way through the city, keeping an eye out for other Masters and Servants.
"Things seem a little...Quiet. Do you see anything?" Simon asked.
    He got no answer.
"...You're not very talkative, are you-"
Suddenly, a loud explosion was heard further into the city.
    "W-What was that!?"
Assassin jumped unnaturally high onto the nearest rooftop, quickly taking notice of the falling bridge in the distance.
He also spotted two figures floating in midair, one of which was a very muscular man with his arm extended outward in the direction of the bridge.
"This way. I can sense more than just those two over there. You stay on the ground, I'll use Presence Concealment and pick out the easiest of the targets."
    "Right! Let's go."
Simon, being slower than his Servant, watched as Assassin ran ahead of him.

    **Slight Time Skip**

Simon, having caught a glimpse of the Masters and Servants in the area before finding a place to hide, wondered where his Servant had run off to.
    "Damn...Where'd he go?"
Peeking out from behind a building, Simon could see the shirtless Servant who had summoned some kind of Ice pillar to hold the bridge up.
    "Ice, huh? Interesting..."
Just then, Assassin appeared next to Simon.
"The two in midair are already engaged in battle. Let me examine that blue-haired one."
Assassin closed his eyes for a moment.
"Noble Phantasm...Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan!" He said as he opened his eyes back up, his pupils going from pitch black to a design identical to Simon's command seal.
"His chakra...No...That's not chakra at all...It's much colder."
Assassin looked back at the ice pillar that was holding up the bridge.
"That ice pillar has the same energies running through it...Perfect."
Assassin looked back at his master.
"I have a plan. Distract them for me. I can catch them off guard and hit the Servant with my Fire-Style ninjutsu."
Simon was scared and relieved at the same time.
Scared because he was afraid to go into battle alone, even if it was for just a few moments.
Relieved because his Servant had abilities that could counter the other Servant.
"Right...Just say the word and I'll go."
Taking one last look around the building, Assassin held up on arm, three of his fingers extended.
He then put one finger down, leaving two.
    Then one.
    "Go."
Simon ran out immediately, ignoring his fear of what could happen.
Preparing a punch, Simon ran straight for the blue-haired Servant's Master.
"Haaaaaaaaaa!" Simon yelled, hoping to keep their attention.
Meanwhile, Assassin leaped up onto a roof again, before jumping off towards the Master and Servant that Simon was distracting.
He performed what looked to be hand signs.
    "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"
Assassin's cheeks began to inflate, as if something were filling up his mouth.
Opening his mouth ever so slightly, a small stream of flames began to flow out. This stream eventually grew into a large fireball that flew straight at the Master and Ice-using Servant.
"Simon! Fall back now!" Assassin warned, his mouth now free of flames.
Coming to a quick halt, Simon turned around and ran off as fast as he could as Assassin's fireball flew towards the other Master and Servant at high speeds.
