" Why are you sorry, you just saved my life." Jessie said.
Ayanna rolled her eyes.
" Uh, yeah." She said softly.
" Well it thinks like an animal." Ayanna said.
" Well animals don't judge as harshly as humans do." She said still looking at the thing and petting it.
" Right....I'm sorry." Jessie said slowly letting go of him.
" There we go, see I told you I wouldn't hurt you." Ayanna said softly, and softly stroked it.
Jessie nodded as she clung to him.
Jessie clung to him.
Once again she very very very slowly started moving her hand towards him.
" A...a...a...anywhere." She said shaking a little.
" Hey look little guy, I promise I won't hurt you." She said.
Jessie continued to sit there curled up against the wall hoping she would just disappear.
" Shock me all you want." She said keeping her hand out.
Jessie watched all of it happen and suddenly her legs started to feel like jelly and then they gave out and with her back against the wall she slid to the ground and just sat there completely shocked.
Her finger went limp and she touched it quickly. " Ok then..." She said and sitting down right where she was. " I'll just wait until he get's more comfortable." She said with her hand still outstretched towards him.
Jessie screamed and tried to cover her head with her arms, just a natural reaction.
Jessie looked back and forth between Eric and Rik but then at the boy, the horror and fear in her eyes was easy to see.
" It's alright little guy, I won't hurt you." She said sweetly, her hand still out and moving very slowly towards him.
Jessie took a step back staring at Eric and the spikes that were coming out of his back.
