I just had a thought. Could it be a symptom of a underlying problem in modern society? I mean we are told that we can be anything we want and do anything we want as long as we put our minds to it. That puts a huge pressure on people (from childhood) to do something amazing with your life whereas in the olden days you aimed to reach 50 lol With this film it is showing people a whole other amazing life and their longing for something so meaningful makes them depressed whether they want to be or not.

It was the only bit of your post that hadn't been dealt with and I felt required me to respond to. I'm just saying what a lot of people I know and I'm sure most of the UK thinks of the United States government.

This is getting off-topic. Basically a secular nation should have a secular government. This does not mean that politicians can't have personal religious beliefs but they should remain that, personal.

Lol I am far from saying my government is perfect. Heck, our local devolved government is made up of mostly ex-terrorists! What my government does not do, however, is go round preaching about how awesome it is and telling other nations to aspire to be what it is. That is where the arrogance and hypocrisy comes in. Oh, I forgot to mention greedy and selfish xD

I still haven't been to see it :( I can understand where they are coming from. I mean, the amount of time I sat and wished I was in the many different worlds that I read about or saw in fiction on TV. Many many dreams spent on that xD With it going 3D and being over 2 and a half hours long people get so drawn into the other world that they would at least be disorientated when it's over and at worst completely lose touch with reality.

It's kinda like what my friend said to me. He goes caving and apparently there is absolutely no smell in caves, the air doesn't really move and there is very little light so no colour. He tells me that coming out of a cave after being in it for hours is amazing. All the colours are brighter, everything smells amazing and you love the feel of the wind. I suppose what these people are experiencing is just some form of sensory overexposure (or whatever the opposite of sensory deprivation is lol)

When I'm at home I used to always look at the clock on the oven just as it turned 13:37 xD And yes I do get freaked out by £6.66 ._. That only happened when the VAT went down though.

America is a secular country and therefore may not subscribe to any religion. Even by saying "In the God we trust" that still excludes Polytheistic religions and things like Paganism with less defined higher powers.

Everyone has the right to have freedom of religion, and the state may not partake in religion itself.
