I put Yuuki twice because she has a twin sister, and they might be identical, i dunno, and there weren't enough people for the joke so shut up!

To be honest, I'm really liking the Mother's Rosario arc, but not necessarily for the reasons the show wants me to like it.l

I really like the story of the side characters a lot more than the other characters of the show. And while I groaned at Asuna's first-world problems, I've been warming up to sort of feeling bad for her. I liked the progression of this arc, and showing that the HEROES OF THE STORY DON'T HAVE TO WIN EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME.

I think my favorite part of this arc is how minimal they are using Kirito. I laughed hard at the show when they tried to convince me that Kirito lost a battle. If you want me to actually feel anything about that, show me, don't just tell me. And then when he showed up at the end of one of the episodes, I yelled out "Oh, screw you, SAO". And, I'm at least glad that I didn't have to see too much of Kirito's Mary Sue tendencies. Kirito is storytelling poison.

And even with those complaints, this is still the best arc that Sword Art Online that they have done (and that includes anicard, fight me).

    EDIT:

Okay, I posted the above before watching the newest episode. My thought process was "maybe I should watch the new episode before posting anything. Naw. What's the worst that could happen?"

I forgot with what I was dealing with.

    Rant below
AIDS? Are you seriously doing this right now, Sword Art Online. AIDS! You honestly think that you're talented enough to tackle this issue, after you have shown us how you understand nothing about storytelling and tackling other big issues (the biggest example being rape).

I'm fine with her being ill; I was fine with it just being some generic cancer trope that a lot of shows use. BUT NOPE! I had to pause the episode because I was laughing so hard. The show was going strong for me up until that exact point. I honestly do like Yuuki's character, but I feel this kinda ruins it.

They are trying to get some kind of false sympathy for the character out of me, and that just doesn't work. This was never hinted at in any of the previous episodes (WHICH THEY COULD HAVE DONE BECAUSE I ASSUME THAT THEY WOULD TRY TO CHANGE A BIT OF THE SOURCE MATERIAL) so it feels very inorganic and out of place.

This very much reminds me of someone writing an SAO fan fic and wanted to put someone with a terminal illness in the story. That person asked me (because of my own illness), "wouldn't that be a paradise for you; just being free of your physical disabilities". My answer to that is this: It's absolutely insulting to me for you to say that. Yes, it's a certain kind of freedom, but it's not actually living. Concurring a disability is coming to terms with what's going on and not allowing that to affect who you really are.

A lot of fiction does with with characters: they give them a disability not because it adds anything, but because they want the audience member to 1) automatically like them and 2) go "aww; poor baby" (this is also why I hate The Fault in Our Stars). They abandon good character traits or actually using the disability to tell a story and just cheat their way to false sympathy.

Well, my vote would have to come down to Zelda. Yes, I've been thinking about Midnight a lot this round, but as I've said numerous times before, she's not even my main suspect. I guess it's better to not just think out loud for now on. As for my current vote, I've said in the previous round that Zelda seemed like someone who seemed to let everything play out and keep as little suspicion on her as possible.

I actually saw a production of Into The Woods this year, and it was really fun. I just hope that it’s a good movie. I’m more worried about Disney totally ditching the message of the musical to keep their “family-friendly” persona...

I agree with Misty here; I want a lesbians ending for Cinderella. I call Cinderella x Fairy Goddmother OTP forever!!

Never been a fan of Star Wars, at least not a big fan. And I’m someone who will defend the prequels. Yes, they’re dumb science-fiction with bad acting, an insane story and crazy effects, but you can easily say the same thing about the original movies. However, I will recognize that Star Wars did do a lot of things ahead of its time, especially the special effects. I mean, the original movie won an academy award for its effects.

I was about to go crazy for you not knowing who Ryan Johnson is. Glad that the Breaking Bad credit was added.

I hope that Mockinjay podcast will be up soon (need to put finishing touches/send to my editor), but I will post a link when it’s up.

My dumbest childhood story is that one time when I went to McDonalds, I got a burger. I don’t like any of the stuff on it, just the patty and the buns. This particular time, they put all these condiments on my burger, to which I yelled at the top of my lungs “MOM! THERE’S CONDOMS ON MY BURGER!!”

I can understand why there is some suspicion on me, and I do feel that I didn’t make my previous posts clear. Like I said, Midnight is only a slight suspicion, and she’s not even on my mafia list. My post was more just me thinking out loud, and it comes from not really knowing everyone’s style in playing the game (since I’m new to it). Still, it’s not a very good reason for me to think that, since it’s basically how the game is played.

Well, it looks like if we don't get it right this time, we're pretty screwed.

With Cat gone though, I'm kinda being drawn to midnight, if only a little. Cat actually had a reason to crazy analyze everything with her being the cop and everything. Making a chart of the potential suspects definitely helps keep things in order, but it also protects the person who is making the chart. It can also be used to manipulate data to lead them to or away from certain suspects.

It's just speculation though. Midnight has just moved up to slightly suspicious from non-suspicious, which is still very low.

Well, early on, Cat seemed to be making herself the most obvious person to be mafia. Now, a lot of the time, this kind of action is done by someone who isn’t the killer in most mysteries. That being said, I feel that it’s a strategy that Cat would put herself in the forefront, which will allow her teammates to stay hidden and weed out the cop. Cat’s document really lowered my suspicion by giving us something that we could center around. However, at the same time, it seems like she’s now trying to lower suspicion on herself, in case she really is mafia; to show that she really is one of us.

I was honestly thinking about voting for KeyToTruth when I remembered Midnight Star’s request not to vote for him. In all honesty, he’s my number four on my mafia list, but his recent silence makes me seriously want to rethink that. I decided to vote for you because you seemed the right person to take advantage of Cat’s earlier actions. Everyone had her pinned, which would allow you to examine everyone else’s actions, and find the cop among us.

Gah; I'm like so freaking late! I decided to spend today doing homework, and my computer’s been off.

And, my suspicion may not be completely off of Cat, it’s definitely enough to make me think twice. Again, I feel that her and Zelda may be mafia, and this definitely puts Zelda more in the forefront for me. And the same can go for Key, especially since there doesn’t seem to be any defense by him. My own vote will go to Zelda though, mostly because of Midnight Star's request.

For me, it seems like Zelda and Cat really do have something together. While part of me still think Cat is acting a bit too obvious and can just be a red herring, Zelda seems like to be a good person to balance her out. I kind of think that Al is the third mafia, for reasons stated in various previous posts. I mean, with the previous round, the only reason Cat wasn't lynched was because of the last minute vote. I kind of wonder what would happen if things were different.

That's more up the viewer. There's two ways you can go about it:

    1. Come up with a conspiracy theory to why all these characters have disappeared. Again, I sight the the After Hours episode on Saved by the Bell where they point out that if you look on the wiki page for the show, with every girl, it says somewhere that they "were never seen again".

    OR

    2. They go on with their lives outside of the show. We don't see them anymore because they're not relevant to that particular plot. You only get a snapshot of the main character's lives in television shows/movies, but never the full picture. In reality, they probably still interact (depending on how things went on in that particular arc), but because they are not relevant to a particular story anymore, there is no need to see them.

That's actually what I've been thinking a bit too. Like with what I said with the latter part of day one, my suspicion was on how she was acting. It's kinda similar to how she is now, acting one step ahead of everyone, but probably to make sure people don't think it's her.

Of course, on the opposite side of that coin, I don't think anyone who is in the mafia would be that obvious.

    *cracks knuckles*

Kind of a long winded explanation here; hopefully I was able to help. And this is basically how I learned how to write a script a few years ago, but your mileage may very with different writers.
It all comes down to how stories are told. Now, this is based off a lot of assumptions on the show, which I have not seen. Like with most stories, it starts from Joseph Campbell's idea of "The Man With A Thousand Faces", which basically says that every story ever told follows a very specific outline. This outline is called The Hero's Journey, where the hero starts off in the ordinary world, called to adventure in the new world, faces enemies and makes friends, and then returns back to their old world, but with the knowledge of the new world. This is an abridged version of the journey of course, which follows various stages and goes into deeper aspects.

I bring this up because when you're learning how to write a script for a movie, television show, etc., this is one of the first things taught to you. The best way to describe THJ is as an outline or road map. It's not necessary to know the way, but if you're stuck at certain place, you at least know what kind of scene should come next. Along with this, I was taught about theme of a story, that goes hand in hand. The theme is the moral lesson of the story, or at least brings up a question. The journey is to reflect the theme by show different aspects of what it wants to say.

Just about every important character in a story is motivated by the theme, whether they are aware of it or not. A character has certain wants, but they also have deep needs that are associated with the theme. What motivates the hero to go on the journey is his want, but what is driving the entire story in general is the theme. On a deep level, it doesn't really matter if the character gets what they want; what's important is that they learn the lesson the journey wanted them to learn. If they do, it's generally a happy ending, and if they don't, then it mostly ends in tragedy.

But it's that what leads to a character's exit. It's the final test at the later part of the the story being told where a character is faced with their "final" test. Whether they pass or fail, they have fully completed their journey. There is nothing more for them to learn, which basically means they are no longer necessary to the story. Sometimes they actually leave, having learned their lesson and realizing that it's somewhere else. Maybe it ends with their death or going to jail because they didn't learn from their journey.

This is what is mean that the character is no longer important to the story.

Now, when it comes to TV shows, maybe there's characters who are never mentioned or seen again after a certain episode. Again, it's because they completed their own journey, or they aided one of the major characters, and that was their purpose.

Let's take Saved by the Bell. After Hours did a great video where they talked about all of Zack's ex-girlfriends that appeared in an episode or two, and then just disappear. The girls served the purpose of showing that Zack dated around, and sometimes added things to the story, but they only served that one small purpose. They exist somewhere in that particular universe, but because they don't play an important thematic role anymore, we don't see them anymore.
