XD For those who probably surmised and for those who didn't, I'm the person Cal is referring to whenever she talks about the staff member who gave her 'the response' she's talking about. XD I just wanna clear up a few things: She did not ask me to deal with the comment as she says above, she simply pointed out to me what was said, on discord, with an 'lmao,' and then noted "that thread's a free for all rn anyway XD" I told her I intended to reply to the thread in full tonight or tomorrow depending on whether or not I actually had internet as late bills had me cut off this morning, or if my brain would let me live after I had a long work day, but that with everything I needed to deal with in the thread, I might have to choose my battles. When she pressed me about it and I finally realized she wanted someone to do something when her comments had previously seemed more conversational than anything else, I told her that I didn't want to detract from the issue at hand (the major problems the thread was meant to address) by getting sidetracked by smaller stuff, and when she pressed further, I said that I can't fix every problem in the world but I might be able to fix the big ones if I stay focused on them. I then told her that my break was over (because literally it was over and I actually got in a minute late because I didn't want to leave Cal with no response lol) and got off my phone, thinking I'd done okay. I certainly did not intend to make her feel like I was dismissing her, or that "yeah it's against the rules but who cares." XD tbh, I was phoneposting, and I was also trying to cram some food into my mouth with my free hand before my break was over. XD I didn't have time to go searching through rules, and honestly? I didn't feel like Llave's comment was worth the anger it was getting, and I was frankly confused by her stance. But I didn't want to speak out of turn, so instead of saying "I disagree so there," I decided to wait, search through the rules when I could, and compose a more adequate response, and, lol, challenge my own views and ask myself if my complacency was a problem. Maybe I should have said that? But since what I said was "also gtg my break's over byyyye" I guess I thought I had a few hours? XD I also fully intended to mention the conversation in the staff chat when I got home from work, just to find all this instead. And, I want to point out, this all detracted from the major issues the thread was intended to address. And now I've spent about an hour typing up a response to being 'called out but not really' instead of the response I'd intended to write up for B's thread, that I've been composing in my head since the thread went up. So I guess... I'm sorry I wasn't more clear in the quick-chats? But I don't really feel I deserve to have my statements twisted and 'paraphrased' like this because of it. And for the record, I totally ask for help from other members of staff when I need to, all the time. I go to Aelin, Lux, Heart, and Explode for advice regularly, and I also ask for help in the staff discord chat often and get advice from any other staff member who happens to be around. My saying I didn't want to detract from the main issue of the thread wasn't because I felt like no other member of staff would be willing to handle a little thing while I took on a big thing, but because I felt like Llave's comment was a really little thing and I didn't understand why such a big deal was being made of it when really serious stuff is happening in the same thread? So I said I was going to pick my battles, and then my options were either "tell Cal you have to leave right now and then deal with this issue when you get back," or "ignore Cal completely and tell a member of staff that she has a problem but don't explain what's happening because I have to leave right now, so whoever reads my post won't have enough information to understand what's happening and won't be able to help." XD So really: Guess I learned that today lol XD (Also it's Valentine's Day and my husband's been trying to talk to me and I've been busy with this.) XD
Alright everyone, let's take a look at all the projects our couples have turned in! First, the celebrity couple, @Aelin and @cstar✰ ! A couple of people have made guesses as to what they might do. Two people (one being me lol) thought they'd go with an AMV, while another person thought they might record a song. So, what did they do? AN AMV! Haha, I win! XD They also both provided statements: Aelin: As for how this represents Cstar and I at the dance. Well you see. It was made in spurratic bursts, late at night while we were falling asleep. It is a mess and mash of things that shouldn't work, but kinda work, but you aren't sure if they really work, but you go with it anyways and just accept it. (Except MoK, he questions it heavily.) It is insane and more complicated to work out than it appears and you just have to take our word for it and trust that we actually know what we are doing and what we are talking about, but you aren't quite sure you do. Now take all that nonsense and put it into a video with a pairing that isn't a thing, but sorta is a thing and doesn't work but at the same time can sort of work. And there is how that fits in. I always love a good go-getter!” He reached for her hand, and she extended it automatically, still in a panic-induced stupor. “Well, I’m here, you’re here, whaddya say we head up to my board room and get this meeting started now?” “N-now?” Rose asked, shriller than she intended. “I, uh.” She forced a laugh. “You know, I haven’t even had my coffee yet!” “You already look pretty wired to me,” Mr. Square Enix noted with a chuckle. “But there is a machine up in the board room if you want to use it!” Stupid, stupid Rose! she berated herself. Breathe! Relax! You can do this! — When they arrived at the board room, another one of the company higher-ups was already there. “Oh! Mr. Jewels!” she said. “How ya doin’, kid?” he said, his voice relaxed, but his expression inscrutable—since he didn’t have one, on account of the giant Jewel that was his head. This company is...really weird. “Go ahead, take whatever seat you like.” “Uh, thank you,” she said, looking at the large table, then sitting at the chair nearest the door—no, don’t want to look eager to leave!—then stood, and moved one chair over. Mr. Jewels and Mr. Square Enix had a brief, whispered conversation on the other side of the table, then turned to her. “Well, Rose,” Mr. Square Enix said. “I’ve heard you have some great ideas on how to make this company even more money!” “Through Kingdom Hearts Union X,” Mr. Jewels confirmed. “I must say, I’m quite excited to hear what you’ve got.” Mr. Square Enix folded his hands on the table in front of him, leaning in. Breeeeathe! “I... Well, I’m excited to share them!” When Mr. Square Enix gestured for her to go ahead, she took a deep breath. “Sir—sirs—we have a lot of user engagement on the game’s official Twitter account. I was thinking we could make use of that and...well...just ask the players what they want from the game. Mr. Jewels and I have some company things we want to discuss. Can you do some research on the Twitter community for us, then come back in half an hour?” Rose felt dread creeping up her spine. She blew it. “Not a problem at all, sir!” she said, pretending everything was fine. She stood abruptly, and almost knocked her chair over with a small “Eep!” She coughed, righted the chair, and awkwardly left the room. — Half an hour later, she stood in front of the door, and moved to knock meekly, but stopped herself short. No! Be confident! She took a deep breath, and gave the door a few quick raps. “Come in!” Mr. Square Enix called. She entered, phone in hand. Hands. She was very nervous. “What do you have for us, Rose?” Mr. Jewels asked. “Well... I went and looked through the replies to our Tweets from the past week.” She held out her phone. “It seems what people want most is the copy medal banner Japan got a few months ago.” Mr. Square Enix stroked...where his chin would be, she guessed. “Very interesting. Well, we had some research of our own done, and we reached about the same conclusion.” Rose perked up. “Really?” “Of course!” Mr. Square Enix laughed. “It’s quite silly of them, isn’t it?” At his side, Mr. Jewels hooted. “Thank you for your assistance, Rose. Truly. We’ll send you the info for tonight’s Tweet this evening. That will be all.” — Rose was absently chewing on a Pocky stick that evening, checking over a spreadsheet when her email alert pinged. She glanced at the notification: it was from Mr. Square Enix! She immediately clicked to open the email...and just as immediately drooped over in her chair, the Pocky falling from her gaping mouth. “Get KH II Naminé within 5 draws from this new Medal Deal, starting tonight @ midnight (PT)! Actually I am here but don't worry, I'm not mad. XD Any problem or opinion held by any member of this site is valuable to me and I'm doing my best to make sure the problems are resolved. We'll all get through this in time, don't worry. Nothing's killed this place yet and I don't plan on letting it happen on my watch, lol. XD We'll be a'ight, it just might take a little time for things to be addressed. I do plan on making a more substantial post on all the relevant threads by tomorrow night or Wednesday morning, but I'd also like to see other people's thoughts on the matter before I do, so don't be afraid to talk to us. Counterpoint: what about people like me, who are so dedicated to the site that we don't 'post on the go' but we log in on our phones while we're on break or are eating dinner after work; who DO properly capitalize and punctuate our posts, who even go to the trouble of using italics despite how much trouble that takes, and who alternate between the site and Discord at the same time, thus 'sending messages in succession?' xD As an added bonus; what if we don't like phoneposting, but have to in order to post what we want? Is that a good exception? I mean, if not... lol im phoneposting it doesnt matter xD
lol if it weren't for the Discord, I would still be a quiet onlooker hiding in the only semi-active Forum Family and only straying from my position to join in a mafia game. XD

BUCKLE IN, EVERYONE, we've got some shocking results to Round 2 and boy, are they a doozy! I don't understand it myself, folks, but somehow the tables have completely turned! Here are the scores from everyone's responses; to clarify, these are the times each couple correctly guessed the answer their partner chose: CrownMoksha and LadyAzura take the lead with a score of 14 out of a possible 20 GarrettFinch and tamale take second, with a score of 13 out of a possible 20 Midnight Star and Fearless, along with Cstar and Aelin, tie in third place with a score of 9 out of a possible 20 Maka Albarn and Vladek515 come in next. A problem with formatting caused Vladek515 to accidentally leave an answer blank, but when I got his message and gave him the chance to fill it out, he informed me that he and Maka had discussed their answers after they both had submitted, so he was unable to fill it in afterwards. lol even I've seen Back to the Future and... I'm me. XD I haven't seen anything important! XD You shoudl watch Back to the Future, really, it's great. XD Plus do you know how much work Michael J. Fox put into making that movie? XD He filmed it at the same time he was working on Family Ties, and the show only let him do the movie on the condition that he only work it during nights, and still do the show during the weekdays. So he would film for Family Ties all day and then leave and go film Back to the Future all night, grab a short rest, and then go back to work on Family Ties. And then every weekend they would cram as much daytime-filming for Back to the Future as they possibly could, so he didn't even get weekend breaks. XD People owe it to him to watch the movie, lol, if anything just outta respect for how much work he did to bring it to us <3 (I love Michael J. Fox, btw, if no one got that.) XD

I've never watched a Bond movie either and tbh I totally didn't know they still made Bond films. XD I haven't even seen parts of a Bond film. It's one of things I've always known exists, and have always seen parodies (I like the Bond type Agent in that one Phineas and Ferb episode lol) but haven't seen itself.
Hello everyone! Just wanted to steal a moment of your time and go over a recent change that you miiiight have noticed, what with the sudden appearance of pink and teal usernames, lol. Basically, we’re shuffling things around and changing the way we do staff, and part of that includes New Staff Usergroups! Right now, we’re introducing two new Staff Positions: Event Coordinators, and Media Managers! I’m sure you all have some questions, so let’s try to answer some of them straight off the bat, ‘kay? Q. What the heck is an Event Coordinator and Media Manager anyway? A. These new positions are designed with the purpose of supervising all work related specifically to Events or External Media Sites. See, we’re trying to grow, to change, and to create a great, fun environment for people to just make friends and love KH. This means events and lots of ‘em, and a greater presence on social media. Event Coordinators are tasked with planning, scheduling, and managing all events on the site, delegating responsibilities to those who volunteer and making sure that all the little details are taken care of and each and every event runs smoothly. Media Managers are tasked with managing all work related to Youtube and Social Media; overseeing the staff members who have volunteered to run the facebook, twitter, and tumblr page, and being in charge of the Youtube Account (oh and fyi, some really fun changes are coming to our Youtube over the next couple of months, so keep an eye on the front page for more updates!) Q. So, what, you and Aelin aren’t going to be moderators anymore? A. No, we’re still going to do moderating work, it’s just our main focus is on executing events. We’ll still be around to move threads and delete posts and all that fun stuff, as well as we’ve both got our own subsections we’re in charge of moderating, but we’ve also got a full year of events scheduled for this year, and with all the work that’s going into them, we’re going to be making that our main focus. Q. Does this mean Explode has been demoted??? ‘Cause that ain’t cool! A. No, don’t worry, Explode hasn’t been demoted, lol. These new positions are Supervisor positions, and as such, are going to be treated on par with Supermods. That said, we won’t all have the same powers, otherwise why create new positions in the first place? Each position has its own work-specific set of powers, and the Supermods and Media Managers don’t share the same ones, so Explode is pulling double shifts as both a Supermod and Media Manager, because seriously who would want to demote this guy? He’s awesome. XD Q. Are there going to be more new Usergroups in the future? A. As a matter of fact, there are! In around a year, perhaps, we plan to implement three more Usergroups among staff: Party Planners, Editors, and News Director! Party Planners are going to be moderators who work under the Event Coordinators and volunteer to help with as many events as they possibly can, while Editors are going to be moderators who work under the Media Manager to help run the Social Media sites as well as take an active role running our Youtube channel and helping with the projects we’re going to start up over there. The News Director, meanwhile, is going to be a new Supervisor position in charge of overseeing all the work done by Reporters and coordinating with the Events and Media groups to provide adequate news coverage over all forms of social media. We don’t need one of these yet, but we’re looking to the future! You know, when KH3 wins Game of the Year and then all sorts of cool merch will come out for sale and the voice actors will be attending cons and all that fun stuff, lol. XD Q. So… what does this mean for us, exactly? A. Don’t worry, this change isn’t going to overthrow the delicate balance that is KHV. (At least, I sure hope it doesn’t, lol.) There’s nothing new or different you guys have to do, and like I said earlier, Aelin, Explode and I will still be doing all the stuff we normally do. We just have different colors now, basically, and wanted to let you all know why. XD If you are interested in applying for staff because of any of these new positions, please apply as a Moderator or Reporter first. We'd like new people to get their feet wet before tackling something more specialized.
