i appreciate the thoughtful rec but i refuse to listen to anything by him. he's a terrible person and i dont like his vocals either edit: to elaborate mainly i just dont like his voice, but his singing always seems too indulgent and like its trying to manipulate the listener into thinking his music is more emotional than it is. all that ooOOoooOOOooOOO stuff doesnt work for me and seems disingenuous. plus the lyrics are stupid. not that all lyrics i like arent, but coupled with singing i dont like its a little more glaring. ALTHOUGH i may be projecting what i know about him as a person onto his music. like i know he has a habbit of lying so im not willing to believe that his "emotional" music is actually emotional lol. and mainly what i know him from is emarosa and back in the day i always liked the guy who came before him more, and the the recent guy who replaced him i think is better too, though tbh i dont like any version of that band now. aaand i already liked more than my fair share of bands of that style. point is j craig just isnt for this guy.
tfw your music library is 50gb and youre tryin to find things to delete that arent essential but everything is except siouxsie and the banshees but you cant bring yourself to pick on poor little siouxsie[DOUBLEPOST=1463102660][/DOUBLEPOST]also new pierce the veil is hecka sweet. they are the kings of delicious feel bad progressive post hardcore.

what are you guys talking about driving is super easy once i get behind the wheel and start cruisin at a sweet 75-80 mph i just relax, turn my brain off, and let my muscles do the thinking ive not yet hit anything that was living. i think. maybe.
because windows 7 is so superior to windows 10, could i take to ebay and buy a copy of whatever version of windows 7 and just install it over what i have now on my laptop? id prob want to get an external hard drive to put all of stuff on so i dont lose it, of course. i ask this bc the computer at my work has windows 7 and im being reminded how it ran so smoothly and flawlessly and i miss that. also would i be able to use that same copy again on other computers? also bakuman is way too long. it needs to be long to tell the story its telling, but i stopped enjoying myself like 40 chapters ago.
of willpower to not start every day based off of THIS GUY NEEDS COFFEE AND CRULLERS STAT thats a waynes world reference i love that movie thats a redlettermedia reference
i should be but im not because it seems like they abandoned everything they had set up in gen vi for this gen. i dont need z, i want it, but what i need is some continuation of the kalos and new hoenn mythology that was left unfinished. my guess is that we'll prob get this in gen vii (i speculate theyre trying to blur the lines between gens and this will be like a sequal to vi), but until we know or get some hint that this is happening, i cant be all that excited for it. everything looks really cool tho. so far coolest looking gen since sinnoh imo
ye. im not all that hyped for this gen.
lazy title bc creative juices aint flowin atm cuttin this short - i started walking again because i need some way to keep my fabulous body (lol) in shape since i wont be walking around campus during summer. since walking is boring ill be listening to a backlog of music ive been meaning to get to. it works out to about 1 album per day. the past two days I listened to Californication and By the Way by Red Hot Chili Peppers. Basically the point of this thread is post what new music youve been listening to recently and what you think about it. i get a lot of people consume music passively, and not to sound pretentious, but i like listening to music the same way that i read or watch things. calculated and religiously. with an album being the base unit of audible art, not the single. obv this isnt the only way i listen, but you get the point hopefully. so to get things started. I loved Californication. It's brilliant. It's the first RHCP album ive listened to from front to back rather than select songs here and there. By the Way was pretty boring. I like funky RHCP and By the Way is mostly long drawn out mellow songs. If youre into that thing I guess its good but I didn't enjoy it. I liked the By the Way and Can't Stop and that's about it. if theres a thread already exactly like this delete this or merge it or something idgaf
do you think it will end with "and this is available at your local store today!"
litten alllll the way. its the first starter ive instantly liked in a while. legends also look pretty sweet too and okay wtf is going on with gf. new region looks just like hoenn. i fully expect this region to be deeply connected to hoenn and kalos.[DOUBLEPOST=1462907330][/DOUBLEPOST]more naruto ramblings about how it ended and stuff (dont expect anyone to read these. just like typing out my thoughts for my own purposes. and the lounge is basically the community blog. right? right???) Spoiler in my last ramble i touched on how i would maybe have a new appreciation for kakashi once i finished re-reading the series given that this is a series about generation gaps and how one generation informs the next, and that because kakashi's character arc had already happened by the time the current generation began, his blandness was justifiable and the mark of a matured, fully-formed character. the one major point of contention that i had with how the series ended was making naruto and sasuke descendants of the sage of six paths' sons or whoever they were. it seemed like a super contrived way to make this a larger scale story than it ever was and it kinda undercut all of the character drama that had been building. i'm not sure i agree with that anymore. because, from the very beginning, naruto has been about descending generations, taking it all the way back to the beginning, to the very first relevant generation, seems super appropriate. im anxious to see how i feel about this once i get to it. that last 100 chapter stretch was really hit or miss, mostly miss, as it was coming out. im curious to see how it reads all together with the entire series relatively fresh in my mind. i wonder if kaguya won't actually be the dumbest thing ever.
sounds interesting anyone here read gintama? i read like the first ten chapters a couple years ago but fell off. want to try again. im curious why the animes are ranked so highly on mal while the manga isnt. not that mal ratings are at all an indication of quality but the difference is curious
bought kh like 3 times, kh2 at least 4 times, com twice, bbs twice, re com's us release as well as kh2fm+ twice (which makes it like 3 times for recom), and the other fm's once each. ultimate spider-man twice soon to be thice. budokai 3 a couple times too
naruto ramblings entry 379 Spoiler i watched road to ninja again and was disappointed with how it doesnt hold up as nearly as well as i expected. i raved about it after i watched it but it really just kinda doesnt work. i commend it for attempting to make the single most thoughtful character-driven story in shonen ive ever seen but in order for it to exist, it has to revert these characters back to a place they had grown out of or put them into a place they never were and is somewhat out of character for them to be. it also has a lame contrived conflict. limited tsuki and menma. what the ****. its not bad but its not as good as it should be. the one thing it manages to get flawlessly i think is sakura. and as a sakura fan i really appreciate that. overall it tries, it fails, but goddamn does it try and rarely do these things try. movie 1 on the other hand is still just the best thing. it was a huge deal when i was a kid and learned there was a naruto movie. and watching it again as well, there's some actually nice drama going on. a little trite in places, but unlike road to ninja thats ambitious and fails, this one's not trying to reinvent the shonen wheel. it's a simple, fun, naruto movie and judging it on what it's trying to accomplish, it does it spectacularly. what i love so much about this movie is that it gives us another team 7 mission with naruto, sakura, and sasuke acting as a functioning team. because we only got one of those before things went sour and that was one of the major problems of the manga. and i have this weird thing with naruto that i dont have with anything else in that, in my head, everything is canon. maybe thats because when i was into naruto as a kid i still didnt quite have that conception of what anime was. it was just naruto. i knew it was from japan but continuity didnt exist in my brain. the comic, the shows, the games, every story was a story that counted. and i think the setting in naruto is perfect for that. this is probably why there's so much naruto fanfic. the world in this series is one that's ripe for exploration. there are so many corners that were left unexplored and history that we only really scratched the surface of. so ive been re-reading the manga and one of the chapter covers within the first 20 chapters is a picture of minato's team next to a picture of kakashi's team and that blew my mind for some reason. i forgot that existed. naruto's always been about generations and how one progresses to the next, so its cool to see this kinda stuff right at the beginning. speaking of kakashi, that's a character i never really liked because i always thought he was stale and boring and typical and just uninteresting in present time. and his character design is a bit of a put-off. its like he's desperate to look like the coolest person to have ever lived. but i think i just realized why he always seemed so uninterestin. kakashi's not interesting because he's already had his character arc. he's already a become a fully-formed character and gotten to that place where everything has been resolved by the time he's introduced, so when we start getting his backstory and learning piece by piece how different he used to be and how his generation mirrors the current one in some respects, it makes sense why present kakashi feels stale. and for a series that's about generations, that's kinda genius. still not sure if i like kakashi, but he's been added to the list of things to keep an eye on as i re-read goddammit i had this huge thing typed out and was goin back to edit and make things clearer when my cat walked across the keyboard and probably messed some of it up. so im saying **** it as i throw my hands in the air and post it anyway. i love that little creature more than anything but sometimes i want to strangle her. @Patman boxes View attachment 44588
the thing that intrigues me is how the manga is divided into parts. it's def on my list of things to read/watch/play. and here's what that list looks like in order of relative importance Spoiler re-read naruto 27/700+10+1 watch code geass akito 5 - doing this now but its sooooo boring finish reading teen titans v3 72/103 finish watching planet of the apes tv series 2/14 watch planet of the apes cartoon series finish the godfather watch the other godfather movies read batgirl v1 finish reading bakuman 104/176 finish reading 20th century boys 3/249 read everything else by urasawa except pluto because ive already read it read peter david's aquaman read matt fraction's iron man finish watching the batman watch gundam iron blood orphans finish watching galaxy express 999 11/113 watch everything else by leiji matsumoto finish watching lupin iii part 1 6/23 watch everything else lupin iii read jla v1 read the creeper v1 watch iron man armored adventures watch spider man the animated series read crisis on infinite earths read infinite crisis read identity crisis read kingdom come watch flcl again watch tari tari again read frank miller's daredevil read bendis' daredevil read brubakers daredevil - i think thats a thing. whoever was after bendis read mark waid's daredevil finish reading audrey hepburn by barry paris finish reading the last days of krypton finish watching american beauty finish playing pokemon xy,oras replay try reading gintama again try watching baccano again try watching durararararararar again read jojo
alright ill say it whats so great about jojo
to be fair i listened to brand new a lot before i decided that i didnlt like them, but at the same time i had reason to believe i should like them based on other things i already liked, unlike overwatch.
the real reason overwatch isnt for me is because everything about it screams VIDEO GAME. also why i dont like blizzard. they make video games for the gameyest of gamers. its the gameyest game ive ever gamed and im a die hard casual
