    Hello

Thank you... And it's nice to meet new staff and greet the old ones. You guys are doing a helluva job. And yeah, dunno how long I'll stay, I've been a roamer for a while going from site to site. Went to Gaia for a while where I finally learned to swear properly. :P I did some groundwork, but the staff really has done a lot of work while I'm gone and I'm glad it is doing as well as it is.

Having lost a lot of interest on some games in the 3D conversion, Super Mario 64, damned stars, Legend of Zelda after Ocarina of Time, Anything after Final Fantasy VII. I can see where people are coming from. The only reason I liked Final Fantasy VII was because of the storyline. I don't think it's the graphics and making things look more 3D, but I literally wince when I saw the Legend of Zelda sequel and Yoshi's Island remake.

It doesn't have the same appeal, and like with Donkey Kong Country Returns, they make it too modern. I remember me and my friend struggling through the original Donkey Kong Country and complaining how hard it was. We still enjoyed it, we still had a lot of fun, when I saw the remake, I saw a ton of add-ons and "interactions" that drove me off from getting it. It didn't hold up to me as the original game did and I did try it, but I never got into it. I can still slap in the original today and enjoy it. I can never do that with the remake.

I think there's a lot of gaming companies who are trying to make remakes because they run out of ideas or their franchises are slowing down. I have seen good ones, I do freely admit. Hell, there's still probably a petition floating around for a Final Fantasy VII on PS3/4. There are still good ones being made, but they're either one shots or fall into the pattern of a lot of other games. Either they're made once a year: Assassin's Creed/Kingdom Hearts. They really fall apart due to the ego of the company: Final Fantasy. Or after the first one the rest turn out terrible.

Oh yeah, just to make this totally on topic, I actually didn't like Yoshi Island the first time around. Mostly because of the crying kid, though I did have fun in the stages. I might get it, but I'll test the waters first.

    Hello

It was a joke, dude, but thanks for the suggestion. I used to be an admin here a long time ago. In 2008 I graduated from college and dear God I suddenly feel old. I have been gone for several years, I thought it was time to come back for a bit.=3

Anywho... Holy crap, I didn't expect to have so many members or it to be doing so well. Kudos to the staff. I tip my hat to you for this to be working so well.

    I'm... Sorta hyped about this.

There's a few things holding me back. The first thing is that I don't like Legend of Zelda handheld games. I know a lot of people love them, but I could never really enjoy them for one reason or another. Another is that the last game I really enjoyed was Ocarina of Time, I didn't like the other games and never even touched Skyward Sword because even a playthrough didn't make me all that excited to play it.

At the same time, I do love Link to the Past, even the bang your head against a steel post Turtle Rock where I died like 30 times the first time. I'm not kidding about that. And I always did want a sequel.

I just got an e-mail from my godmother thanking me for the phone call I gave her.

It was mostly about what she saw, but I still cried. I know it sounds small and maybe stupid, but I just feel... Very happy she wasn't there at the blast. I just wanted to hear her speak or e-mail me with my own ears/eyes to know she was okay. I thank God she wasn't, even after I called her me and my mom joked half-heartedly that she turns everything into a lecture and that she can nitpick, but I still love her to the bottom of my heart.

This whole thing makes you love and appreciate what you have more than anything else in life and to hold it with both hands. In tragedy, it brings everyone together and makes us stronger. Even strangers helping strangers.

There's been rumors flying all over the place since this started. If it was more than these kids, they just gave whoever was the ringleader in this a prime opportunity to kill the kid off without too many questions.

Hence my previous post anger and comment on stupidity. The press SHOULDN'T know that, or be releasing it.

EDIT: Source for the info, FROM A HOSPITAL SPOKESMAN:

    Thank God...

I do hope we get answers. Knowing the cops right now, they'll shoot him if he twitches. They're on a testosterone and adrenaline high, they won't kill him, though most likely they might. After something like this, especially when cops being shot are involved, people are on a high state. I hope it works out.

I hope they have the suspect with hundreds of guards. The news local and national just told what hospital he's at. That was stupid.

I think the second guy was just following his bro. From what the news were commenting, the guy freaked out enough to drive over his dead brother to get away. He probably thought his brother was going to get him out of it and everything would be safe. I feel so bad for him and his family.

I live in Maine and walking home I saw about eight cop cars in ten minutes. That and there's tons of jetplanes are circling my whole town because of the Bush compound being so near. Hell, two days ago a plane flew by so low I saw a silhouette.

I'm sorry about the situation, cstar. I hope everything turns out okay.

UPDATE: He might be in CT, from CNN. A green Honda in 1999. He might have been shot, I don't know. They found the car.

Having gone to Boston a lot, I'm amazed on how much of a Ghost town Boston is. I understand why, but it's amazing to watch.

Oh yeah, they call themselves the "Marathon Bombers". Sounds like they wanted to leave a big impact, I knew that was coming.

They already are saying that their behavior changed radically a short time ago. From NBC News Television, sorry, no link so I can't confirm it:

They were showing anti-social behavior, anger, rebellion, blame on others. Also, the older brother was gone for seven months. No one had any idea where he was. I agree with you on a petty person. My mom said the age of the suspects easily are receptive to ideas.

I salute the guy who had the guts to video tape the shoot out. He said a round went through two walls including a calender and a roommates chair.

They did go to Turkey, but I don't blame the country at all. Turkey has been strictly neutral with anything in the U.S.

It's sad this **** happens, coming from Doctor, I do wonder if the suspects were... Brainwashed or something else to do this by an organization. From what I heard in the shootout and the bombs, it sounds like they were trained with automatics. My mom said she watched some of it live and said it was a warzone from sound of it.

I'm not jumping to conclusions or pointing fingers, but most kids this age unless they're really off the deep end don't do **** like this. We'll just see.

A man from Mississippi.I hope that's over at least. I do also hope they get to the bottom of it. There's rumors flying about on what the motives and beliefs of the guy, but nothing confirmed.

I'm sure the authorities are keeping this airtight for good reasons. There's apparently already rumors flying all over the place, I'm keeping track of it on CNN. I just hope it ends soon. Everything turns out at least semi okay.

They're talking about canceling a lot of sporting events due to this. Including the Kentucky Derby which is less than two weeks away. It's really going to hurt a lot of people if they do so, that's a huge amount of income for a racehorse owner/trainer on that one race and they can't run the horses again in the race. I would understand, though I'd be upset if it's cancelled, I watch it ever year. I hope at the most it's a delay.

Apparently the FBI said it wasn't true, there's substantial progress, but no proof. \
