Dude Miles, you need to put those files up on some online storage somehow. Mediafire gives you about 52 gigs for free and you can directly share the folder.
You're making me drool man ;)

Holy cow! Thanks SO MUCH man! And don't worry about the prime cap haha, its not worth killing yourself over :P
I uploaded the revised btltbl.bin to reflect these changes. THIS SHOULD BE COMPLETE NOW OMG!!!

Also Sora, I saw your note on the spreadsheet about the end cutscene subtitles. Those are not located on the ARDs, they are a part of the FMV in end.dat and cannot be modified. The only way to get english text in the FMV is to replace the entire end.dat file with the US version one. This is safe to do for demo.dat & opn.dat as well.

There really is no need to watch any videos, you're kind of wasting your time. Here, I've attached two text files to help you out. Replace japanese text in ew-translated.txt to match ew-english.txt. But before replacing, always double check on translate.google.com. Once you have ew-translated.txt completely in english then all you have to do is copy all the text in that file and paste it into the ard editor. Saves so much time.

Also if you want to properly remove that line where Ansem says "One who knows nothing can understand nothing." Then do this:

    Find this string:
    Code:
    {0x0A}{0x00}{0x00}{0x00}{0x07}{0x0C}{0x00}One who knows nothing can{lf}understand nothing.{0x05}{0x7D}{0x00}{eol}
    And replace it with this:
    Code:
    {0x0A}{0x00}{0x00}{0x00}{0x07}{0x0C}{0x00}{0x05}{0x7D}{0x00}{eol}
You cannot just delete the whole line and expect the game to work. Keeping the lines of code and deleting only the words will properly show no subtitles when this part in the game plays.

Yeah no problem man. Don't worry about adding my name, I'll do that once I start re-aligning everything.

Your translating is fine for the most part. Some parts were translated incorrectly though. If you are unsure of what Japanese string you are replacing, always double check on translate.google.com. It won't give you an accurate translation, but it will give you a good idea of what it should be. Another tip would be to grab the US version of the ARDs and compare them. You absolutely CAN replace the codes next to the words from the US version as well, actually I encourage it.

Perfect! Thanks so much! Added those changes to the drive.
Since you and Disgustor both have the game, I hope you don't mind if I ask more of you ;)

I'm only missing one more ability description and that is Gravity Break.
You have to beat the Hercules cup time trial to obtain it. If its too hard I would just use cheats or something.

I also need to double check the additional party member's abilities (Jack, Aladdin, etc).
Bracketed info has been added in 1.5 remix only (EX. "[Special attack. Cost: 1 MP.]") and I just want to make sure what I have is correct for those abilities.

Khwiki has the info here but it's been inaccurate with abilities before so I don't trust it that much.

OH almost forgot, I need Donald and Goofy's Final Mix weapons as well as these accessories below!

    Firagun Band
    Blizzagun Band
    Thundagun Band
    Royal Crown
    Prime Cap
    Obsidian Ring

Fixed them up for you. Grab 'em at the usual place ;)

Here's an interesting tidbit on the cutscene before you fight Ansem:
There are no subtitles in the original US version for when Ansem says "One who knows nothing can understand nothing."
But they were added into the Final Mix version. My guess is that since the audio is in english, japanese people playing the game needed subtitles during that part otherwise they would have no idea what Ansem's saying.

Here's what I mean, it's the part where the screen whites out.
    US Version
    Japanese Version

EDIT: I have also uploaded fixed Jiminy's journal entries + Ansem Reports. I am still missing those 4 heartless descriptions I mentioned earlier though.

    Screenshots of:
    Destroyed Behemoth
    Arc Behemoth
    Red Armor
    Sneak Army

I found the official translations on khwiki, but I need screenshots so I can get the right indentation. Thanks man!

Sure man, toss 'em up on the drive and I'll take a real quick look at it.

To anyone that owns 1.5 ReMIX in english. I need help from those of you who have beaten the game already. I want to update the journal entries with the new english final mix content. I've already gotten most entries via youtube videos so I am only missing a few now. PM me if you'd like to help.

I still do not like the idea of simply copying files from the US version and pasting them into the FM version. This will most likely cause many errors. If anyone figures it out, it would probably be crazycat. I'm no programmer so I don't even intend on working on it, but if crazycat has other things he wants to work on instead then so be it. Once he figures out how to hack EVMs then I'd be all on board. But unless you are helping him work on a fix, I would not replace those files blindly.

Just did a very quick EVM test on Destiny Islands. Specifically the part where the subtitles differ between the japanese and english versions.

    English:
No! This huge, black THING swallowed me up!
    I couldn't breathe, I couldn'tーー

    Japanese:
    No!
This huge, black THING swallowed me up! I couldn't breathe, I couldn't——

Copying the ARDs & EVMs from the english version DID fix that issue so now the japanese subtitles match the english ones. But obviously it removes all the final mix stuff. There are many other instances of the above example in other world ARDs I've encountered. It would be much MUCH better if we could figure out how to take apart the EVMs and replace only specific values. That way, the subs can exactly match the US version and would still maintain the added final mix lines.

Until then, I would still prefer to avoid using EVMs until we figure out how to use them.

What exactly do the EVM files contain? I don't want to blindly replace them without knowing what they do.

Even if we could change them I'd rather leave the controls how they were meant to be. If we change them then we'd have to change every instance where the game is asking you to press O or X and its just not worth it. Plus ya'll should be used to the japanese controls by now.

Since a bunch of people have been talking about Traverse Town, I looked through the current files on the drive and fixed 'em up a bit. There were a few things I fixed but they are in no way complete. At the very least no one should be experiencing crashes now. Grab the new stuff on the drive.

K so I stalked you a bit on the PCSX2 forums and you mentioned you integrated the matrix hack as well as the EVT fontfix into the ELF.
Testing it out now and the EVT fontfix works perfectly, but you seemed to have messed something up with the matrix hack.

With no cheats enabled, textboxes still looked stretched. Even enabling the matrix hack in the pnach gave no results.
But here's the kicker, I added the matrix hack pnach to my unmodified japanese backup and it works as it should.

So you must've modified the ELF is such a way that you'd need to find new matrix codes now.

    ...

Either that or I'm crazy. Yell at me if I screwed up.

Sorry guys I haven't been on in a while. Work's been killing me lately. I just got a google drive email from crazycat about the whole deleted files thing. Which is strange, because I could have sworn I locked my completed ard folders. I do have backups of my own stuff so I'm not worried about anything getting deleted.

Figure it out on your own, you illegally downloaded the game. No one should be obligated to help you.

Updated btltbl.bin. Grab it in the drive.
Here's whats left of item descriptions:

    - ALL SYNTHESIS ITEMS HAVE THEIR 1.5 DESCRIPTION TEXT NOW!

Everything below has had their 1.5 description text added BUT I got them from khwiki so I have not seen them in game yet to confirm.

    - Final Mix Weapons:
Mighty Shield (renamed from Massive Bumper)
    Seven Elements
    Meteor Strike
    Fantasista

    - Final Mix Accessories:
Firagun Band (renamed from Firagun Wrist)
Blizzagun Band (renamed from Blizzagun Wrist)
Thundagun Band (renamed from Thundagun Wrist)
    Royal Crown
Prime Cap (renamed from Premium Cap)
Obsidian Ring (renamed from Black Ring)

Anything that is not listed means I've already seen it in game and have changed accordingly. Yes that includes Diamond Dust and One-Winged Angel weapons.

I'm only missing official english descriptions for a few things now.
