It's sorta the debate I put up: Do companies go too far in advertising? There is so much hype and lies that are posted now about games. Hell, I remember when Duke Nukem Forever finally came out and a group of friends played it for a night hyped beyond belief from all the trailers and excitement. The next day after the host got sober he went on Youtube and publicly apologized for how horrible the game was and how his friends complained about how bad it was. It happens, should it not? Yes, games shouldn't be bad. The ending alone from Aliens is considered the worst ending so far this year. Should a company be sued over it? Maybe, but you have to also make a choice as a consumer to not buy the game. To read the reviews and see the warning signs that the game isn't going to be good. The gaming industry has enough red flags now that you should see it. I'm not saying gaming companies should not be held responsible for what they did, they should, but they shouldn't be sued either. Don't buy anymore games from them. Return it and warn others of the game. Suing isn't going to help.
I'm from a hunting state and I think it's completely mental. The only people I can really see this happening is the Minnesota Militia which is about as far as this woman is about guns. I don't get this at all, I have a cousin who at five showed very disturbing tendencies in games who lives in a house stockpiled with guns and is getting gun training. I am not kidding, he's 17 though you still wonder the sanity of my aunt. I don't get why parents want kids to have guns at such a young age. I don't understand why the government ALLOWS businesses to sell guns to kids these ages. Hell, NRA or not, I'd still have SOME law that says: "You can't have a gun until you're at the age to hunt." The oldest of these shooting incidents is ****ing nine. And the thing is: kids usually don't hunt until they're in their TEENS. Put some damned laws up and screw the NRA for once. The reason the second amendment is up is to have arms against an invasion. Not to have kids killing people under the age of double digits.
I like my real friends, ones who I can get emotional help from with a hug or something, something physical. Or a reassuring smile, something that shows sincerity. But I also have a ton of friends online. I just seem more comfortable online, though I do get anxious sometimes thinking whether or not they're lying. For me, I think it's a double-edged sword. I have few friends in real life that I consider an actual friend that I trust, but on the Internet, I have a lot of friends who I don't know fully if they're not lying. It's hard for me to say which one is better.
Yeah, I caught it on his Blip account on their review of a movie. Though they're no longer dating, he still does vlogs with her, at least he did. The other was a Wiki, so I'm relying on the vlog more.
From the most recent info on CNN... They found a laptop, empty fireworks, and a jar of Vaseline that the roommates threw away. I have no idea about the Vaseline, so don't ask. After the police got the photos out of the suspects. They removed it from one of the bombers rooms. Source: http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/01/us/boston-attack/index.html?hpt=hp_t1 I don't know much else, I was gone most of the night when this was revealed.
Apparently from the news, they knew that they were making bombs. If not for the Boston Marathon. They also threw away the leftover materials. It's still unconfirmed right now, but if that's the case, even if they didn't know the people attached to the bombing were their roommates, they will still be found guilty. That and they already were breaking the visa regulations.
Can you leave early? I don't see myself staying up until midnight then heading back. :/ And I do want to get a souvenir and probably a lot of pictures. :D
The problem with the gun control laws is that the NRA practically controls the government. The NRA has massive amounts of power and they dictate who gets elected and who doesn't, if you don't support them, you don't get elected. Hence the reason why there's been no gun laws passed. The last one HAD Sandy Elementary there for God sakes and nothing happened. Even the Tea Party has a huge influence now and they're huge gun fans. It is sad, but until we actually start changing who we vote for who isn't there just to get several million dollars and be reelected by factions outside of our control, I don't see it changing.
Apparently from his vlog and twitter Iron Liz isn't coming back to the show. She's going to a police academy instead. I'm glad she found a great occupation, but I'm going to miss her on the show. She's a good reviewer and brings her own strong humor and support to Linkara on the show.
Source: http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/01/us/kentucky-accidential-shooting/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 Okay, holding back rant here, but... WHO IN THE HELL GIVES A FOUR YEAR OLD A RIFLE?! For a birthday gift?! Done now. Alright, I don't believe in kids having guns, but I do live in a hunting state where kids kill deer and such with their family. My mom had a gun growing up and knows how to use them. But a four year old, unsupervised with a rifle with bullets. I am sorry, but that is just stupid. And from the article, it's quite popular. "My First Rifle" is the slogan. Oh yeah, and there's been other shootings like this by little kids. ... I have no other comments.
Source: http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/01/us/boston-attack/index.html?hpt=hp_t1 I have to say: I feel sad but amazingly shocked on how teenage college students can be. Seriously, I know they're away from their parents and all, but hiding evidence of the bombings and enjoying the attention is pretty low when you take a tragedy like this. It's shocking that this happened. Though it's not confirmed they did anything.
Having grown up in a religious community, I have seen unfortunately a lot of hate towards gays/lesbians. My best friend made out with her boyfriend next to the Vice Principal of my high school and he didn't do anything, yet a lesbian kissing her girlfriend on the cheek got both of them suspended and banned from any intimate contact. Also they weren't allowed to go to prom as a couple. Ironically enough, two towns away has a massive gay community and is very open about it, including having a gay bar. I myself being bi, I see it as a hormonal thing. Animals in the wild can be gay, it has been proven. Is it wrong? Not really. Do people perceive it as wrong? Sometimes, it's not fair to anyone who is gay. You can't change who you are, you can't force yourself to be different than what you are. I support being gay and them having the same rights as everyone else. I was the first one to celebrate when Gay Marriage was passed in my state. I think honestly, you should follow the same rules and protocols as any other couple in public. If someone is horrified that you are gay, they can suck it up, there's people who breastfeed in public and that makes me massively uncomfortable. There's no reason to judge anyone, for anything.
I was watching the news this morning when I saw on the ticker tape that the grades for the schools in my state are being released. The school leaders were calling it: "punitive and arbitrary" so I decided to ask the question: Do you believe schools should be graded on the quality of education they offer and how they run the schools and for what? In my opinion, yes they should. Mostly because having gotten the education I have got in one of the "finer" schools in the state, it was great in several fields, but a lot of places it showed it could use massive improvement. One of it was one of the most important subjects that needed to be learned: Math. My teachers for the most part in math were so bad I was confused and lost most of the time in Junior High and part of high school before I found a few good teachers. Every single year I ended up with a teacher who allowed the class to run out of control. I would go for classroom size, quality of teaching, control of classroom, conditions of building/equipment, and bullying issues. These issues are the biggest concern for me especially conditions of building/equipment where my high school's roof was caving in, the heater clanged and banged all day, and the desks were falling apart. As a person bullied, I would want to see that the issue is being handled effectively so it stops and there's less problems cropping up.
Oh wow... This looks incredible. The sprites look awesome also, I can't wait for this to come out. I'm going to be keeping an eye on this, kudos to everyone involved.
Edited so people need to think more on it. :P I would also have to say that Donkey Kong is another close one to my heart. I loved Donkey Kong Country when growing up. Some of my fondest memories was playing with a friend of mine the first Donkey Kong Country and us joking about how hard it was and that the names were a distraction to make it harder.
I have to say that raising the minimum wage is a good idea. The problem right now is that in most states the wage is WAY too low for people to survive off it. I know at least at Wal-Mart and other place that the people who work at least forty hours a week have food stamps and other things to support their families. It might hurt some businesses, but at the same time, the money that is going out will go back to the business because people will be able to afford more to buy more stuff long term.
I admittedly was pretty stunned at Ven's awakening in BBS. I never really expected it to go like that and I was shocked his heart was broken like that.
Does it cost any money to get in the event? We're on a tight budget as it is. Sorry for being a pest. Thanks in advance.
I just don't see the point in it, in KHII there was an actual very strong reason why Sora was at level one. Mostly from what happened in the activities in Castle Oblivion. Riku came very late in the game so he could've easily stayed where he was and maybe even leveled up. Now there seems to be no reason to put them back at level one, just like there's no reason to really do a tutorial unless you use a different character other than Sora/Riku because they KNOW how to fight and use the keyblade by now. I'm not saying they should be at level 99, but maybe around level fifty or something, somewhere neutral in between. I see it sometimes lazy that they put them back at level one, especially since there is nothing that has really happened for it to be explained except maybe Sora got temporary memory loss or something. I was thinking of a suggestion and I thought of one: Take one of the new cast of keyblade wielders, one of the thirteen, (again, haven't played DDD, so spare me here.) And do the tutorial and part of the game in their eyes until they meet up with Sora and the others. Sora then doesn't have to go back to level one and you can still learn the basics. You can actually expand on the skills and magic that can be learned from this instead of relearning everything over again with nothing new. Yes, it might be strange for some people, but KHII started with Roxas and the first few hours just being him being in the simulated Twilight Town. Most of us had no idea what was going on in there, but it was thoroughly explained and for me, pretty damned sad at the end with a well-written scene. You don't need Sora to be the main focus for beginning levels to just have a reason to shove him back to level one with no skills and/or magic.
Yeah, that's definitely not Bruce who seems tied to a chair or something he's threatening. Unless it's pre-Batman Bruce which I very strongly doubt. Maybe it's another villain? Or the mayor or another important public figure? Screenshots can be very vague. As to Penguin, maybe it was just Batman Returns where it seemed like he was a victim. I never really got to watch the show or read the comics. You might be right on the fact he was an ass in the first place and just turned more into one when he got disfigured. Any thoughts on the Joker being in it? He seems to be the star role in the other two games.
