Gah, only a few lines left, so it's one of those situations huh? It's like coming to the kitchen at 1pm looking for something to eat and you find a box of Pizza. You open it up to find only 3 left, you're very hungry but you don't want to seem selfish so you just take one. Anyways I'll take: Smiling together, We'll be together. [No matter how hard it may get,] Oh and for the conclusion to that Pizza story I was taking out the trash and I found that someone threw away both of the remaining Pizzas. T_T
I like interviews with Nomura they're always so informative yet vague, and apparently funny. (Laughs.) So apparently we have a Time Traveler in the series, with that we have everything Ms. Suzumiya is looking for Espers (Neku and co.), Aliens (Stitch and co.), and a Time Traveler (Goldie-eyes). Well we're still missing a Slider but I'm sure Nomura will bring that up one day...unless you count Sora as one...or everyone in this game (They can jump from the 2nd dimension to the 3rd dimension with the adjustment of the 3D slider!) Anyway I'm still kinda weirded out and confused on how Sora and Riku will switch mid-gameplay. Not only in terms of gameplay but also in story does it mean Sora and Riku will experience the same events? The explanation just made me even more confused. @_@
Awesome! If they're recording now a release date within this year is possible! So judging by the time frame when Jesse Mccartney confirmed Birth by Sleep's voice recording and its release date, we should expect the English version of Dream Drop Distance to drop at around September-October? Though this is just speculation based on that one time frame, factors such as other big titles releasing around that time or other events could move that around, plus Re:coded only had 3 months between its Japan release date and the English release date.
Haha yeah I thought it would be an interesting change of pace. I also saw some of the videos you guys sang already and it was awesome! Plus it seemed fun too! Now I'm not sure about my singing ability, I would like to think I'm...decent lol. Ah the release date is right aft- Touché chibiwings touché. But yeah great stuff, that 3DS looks very nice. Though I think I like the Zelda 3DS more it's just so elegant to me. However I don't buy those special consoles if I already have one of them so yeah (Money is scarce, games are aplenty @_@). Hope it releases worldwide though, I'm sure there are many people everywhere that want one of those.
I think I read somewhere that in order for someone to come back whole they must have their Heartless destroyed first then their Nobodies destroyed second. So basically if the Nobodies died before their Heartless did they're not coming back...at least through the same way Xehanort is. I mean there has to be some limitations to the whole rule, because if there wasn't dying in the Kingdom Hearts universe wouldn't really mean anything.
OMG I was literally just thinking about that like after I last commented. Sure it sounds crazy but so far the endings of the KH series have been so crazy it just might happen, since Nomura himself is calling it shocking and is worried about it. So it has to be something you never would've expected (even though the whole series is based on trying to do unexpected things).
Shocking ending huh? Something that Nomura worries about? Makes me very curious as to what that means I mean a whole bunch of shocking stuff happened in each of the KH endings, it has to be double the OMGness for Nomura to actually point it out lol. I was hoping he would explain if the secret ending would be CG or running on the game engine like the last few secret endings though there is still a bit of time to get more details on that until the March release date. As for that Kingdom Hearts Anniversary I can think nothing else besides an HD collection, I mean when I think Anniversary I think of looking back at a series (some series even made remakes of their games such as Zelda and Halo for their anniversaries, Re:Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 anyone? Or maybe it'll be called Kingdom Hearts Reconnect? Since you're reliving your KH experience, therefore reconnecting with it...yeah I'm pushing it. XD), there was also that HD test thing Nomura mentioned a few months ago. Also assuming that Dream Drop Distance connects to the fabled and long awaited Kingdom Hearts 3 they're going to need something to fill the gap between since Nomura is working on Versus XIII (which hasn't been mentioned much lately so I'm guessing it's still awhile until it releases). Anyway the official anniversary is March 28 so I'm guessing we'll be hearing about it soon. Anyways thanks for the update Mike!

Thanks for the compliment Hlmactiii, I too hope Vanitas has a huge part. Not because I want more to voice but I feel he was way too simple of a character in Birth by Sleep and a bit of a missed opportunity as a villain. Spoiler What I thought of him in Birth by Sleep is that he was a bit of a fan service character who was put into the story for the sole purpose of seeing an evil version of Sora. Sure it adds a shock element once you figure out what's behind the mask but other than that he doesn't have a will of his own, his will is Master Xehanort's will, he literally existed just to be the bad guy to Ven's good guy. It'll be interesting to see why he's around now though since he is conversing with Sora. Maybe like Ven, Vanitas drifted into another's heart, Xehanort's heart since he is saying the same lines as him. And he wants to help Sora get Ven back (Why else would he be interested in the hearts within Sora?) so that if Vanitas can somehow come back as well, he plans to create the X-blade again. Though this is all speculation. I do wonder how Nomura will explain his appearance in 3D, though I hope it isn't some dream scene/Sora's imagination. Anyways Mike, that group talk sounds really interesting and fun! XD For me personally without the fan dub production I probably would've lost interest a long while ago. It gave me an interest in acting as a whole, while also fueling my love for Kingdom Hearts. Seriously nothing is better at getting to know the characters more than taking a more detailed look at their lines and trying your own spin at it. Not to mention all the people I've met because of it! So thanks Mike without this I'd be a totally different person now! Also yes NemesisPrime, that is generally what an understudy is ...you're not planning on doing anything to make him "not available" are you? lol I'm kidding. :P Congrats! Makes me curious as to what your Xemnas sounds like.
I'm quite honest with my critique Mike you do have potential. Everyone starts out not sounding anything like the character they're voicing when they first start voicing them. Yes, there are some roles that aren't meant to be given to some people (Like I'll probably never be able to play Terra or Xehanort) but you are still in Neku's voice range. All it takes is practice, what I mean by practice is researching the role, find characters that have the same personality as Neku and try to copy every little nuance they put into their character. In the words of Quintin Flynn himself he says that if you want to be a voice actor start by copying every line, phrase, sentence you hear, while trying to emulate their performance, sure your take might not sound alike in voice but it's the performance you are trying to nail down. Now, you are within Neku's voice range all you need to do is get his nuances down and you're golden.

This was awesome! Gotta hand it to the whole team you guys did excellent! Voices, sound effects, even video quality were all top notch! Now for the critiques ahem *readies paper*: Newkidaye as Axel: Pretty awesome, there is seriously no flaws whatsoever! I’m sure you’ll make the Axel fan girls swoon over this performance! XD Shadowsvoice as Beat: Kinda hard to critque a 5 word appearance lol. But from what I can tell you did very well! You timed that pause between lines pretty well and your emotion was right on! Ross as Frollo: That was pretty well done as well, very faithful to the original voice in the movie! Side note: 8 minute trailers are epic when watched, hard to crtique when you can’t find where the characters make an appearance! @_@ HeroicRoxas as Jiminy: Great job I see that you were pretty close to the original voice as well! Seriously you guys are just too good I can’t find any faults in these! Genshie as Joshua: Ah you again! I remember you! You were that guy who started voice acting at the Birth by Sleep fan dub! …stay on topic, stay on topic. You were great in the first line but it got a little awkward on the 2nd. It’s a pretty hard line to say I know since I auditioned for him too. It seems pretty rushed but I blame that on the lines themselves since they’re too much for that amount of time, since it seems you actually fit the window of when he was speaking. Also the 3rd line doesn’t exist he was just mouthing words to Neku haha, well those Yaoi fan girls can now place something they like there like a love confession lol. HeroicRoxas as Phoebus: Wow, you basically make up that world’s characters lol. Anyway that was pretty on key as well. Phoebus doesn’t have the most recognizable voice in the world but you did great! Saru4life as Pinocchio: WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? Why are you still fan dubbing!? Go get a real job! As a voice actress! Lol sorry for yelling at you but you’re just so damn good it’s people like you that make me think people who get paid for voice acting don’t deserve their money (but they do really). Ref-Chan? (thought your name was Refi-Chan?) as Maleficent: Just getting better and better keep it up and eventually you’ll get the real job. @_@ But yeah all that is missing is that effect that makes her sound like she is speaking grandly (is it an echo effect?). Chaser of the Dawn as Mickey: You give Bret Iwan a run for his money! XD Thought that “What in the world do you want†line was kinda awkward. It seems that you were trying to match the lip flaps of Mickey which marks the sign of a great dubber, though it probably would’ve been better if that line was rewritten to accommodate those lip flaps anyway. Also “Wah†XD Mike (CGNET) as Neku: Gotta be honest most of my anticipation for this trailer was to hear you do something other than Roxas/Ven lol. Though there are some problems with it I must say. His voice needs to sound deeper, if you need something to compare it to it’s a bit like a young Cloud (FF7). Also that line where he says “It’s nothing special†should sound like he’s embarrassed when Sora compliments him. I know you’ve been playing the light-hearted Ven for awhile but Neku is one of those loner-type characters which means you need to say his lines in a different way, in a kind of I don’t care about anyone else type of way. You definitely did change up your performance from Ven but it comes off as “I’m bored†a few times. However I do see some potential there, both your voice and the emotion could shape into Neku’s quite well with a little practice. ^_^ Hlmactiii as Riku: Ah I see you’ve donned the grey hair of Riku again! Great job overall, I don’t really have any problems with it at all. :D Saru4life as Rhyme: Hmm…Nothing wrong with your Rhyme you sound quite good. Though it isn’t as cute as the Japanese Rhyme, though that is more of a personal feeling. I don’t know, once I heard Japanese Rhyme I was like “All Rhyme’s after this are irrelevant.†You sounded very boyish if that makes sense, which confuses anyone watching this for the first time since when I first saw Rhyme in TWEWY I thought she was a boy. Again not criticizing you, you did very well. Saru4life as Shiki: AGAIN!? If this isn’t proof enough that you’re not made for voice acting as a career idk what will. Lol Anyways another great job, very…spunky…I guess heheh. Zeekai as Sora: Ah the main character himself, you did an excellent job overall. Emotion, line delivery, pacing of the lines are all top notch. The only problem for me personally is that you sound a bit too old for Sora, I mean sure Haley Joel Osment is getting noticeably deeper with his Sora voice but this was just more deeper into maturity than HJO. Add to the fact that this is Sora’s younger incarnation and it just comes off a little odd to me. Again great job, a little too mature sounding for me. Greater_bloo as Vanitas: WHO THAT SEXEH VOICE!? I just want to hear him talk about his X-blade and call me idiot all day! XD Lol Seriously though thanks Mike for letting me be a part of this. TheVader74 as Xemnas: Very good, could be a little deeper but I seriously think only a few people can go as deep as Richard Epcar…or Billy Zane. TheVader74 as Yen Sid: I hereby declare you the official deep, old man, voice of the kh-vids fan dubs Congrats! XD You were one of the most important parts of the trailer, you set the mood (the intro), carried us through the middle (the gameplay parts) and I think you did a fine job! Reached the end huh that took me…yikes about 2 hours to do lol. Anyway great job everyone, there were hardly any problems and if there were most of them were just me being nitpicky. Also I would like to thank everyone who auditioned I got to know some of you lately and although some of you didn’t make it you are all outstanding people. Heheh I guess so, though I'm not really consistent with my voice work. So one moment I may be extremely active the next I'll take months off, and when I come back I listen to what I did before and I think, "Wow, how did I do that?"
