I was following this earlier and overall it wasn't that exciting, but from watching some recorded videos of the event I can imagine it was pretty awesome in person with the Keyblade motion-sensor thing and the projections of various images on the walls. It looks like one of those events where you have to be there to enjoy it.

Wasn't the one with Xemnas an artificial Kingdom Hearts and the place Aqua was in is the realm of darkness? Not sure about the KH1 though. I only thought this because I just recently read the Xehanort Reports from BBS which said whoever goes into Kingdom Hearts can fundamentally change the worlds and whoever goes in becomes something more than human. Though this is all coming from a report years before Birth by Sleep took place so my bad.
I read this earlier the only thing I didn't agree with is the comment about the story. What I like about the story of Kingdom Hearts that it is as in-depth as you want it to be. Meaning a 12 year old can pick up the game play through it and enjoy the main story with its Disney influence and friendship can get us through anything mentality. However it also caters to people who want a more in-depth experience. You just have to make the effort to find and connect things. Personal story ahead might be a little off topic so I wrapped it in spoilers: Spoiler Just a few days ago I was thinking about how narrow-minded Master Xehanort was in Birth by Sleep with his "darkness this, darkness that, GIVE ME YOUR BODY TERRA!". Then I ended up reading the Xehanort Reports and I have to say he isn't just all darkness, he just has a want to renew the world with a balance of light and darkness, it's just he wants to do it by any means possible. The story also intentionally keeps things vague/mysterious which allows for people to theorize about certain parts by bringing known facts and trying to connect them to form something that makes sense. And that is one of the things that brings the Kingdom Hearts story over other video games for me. It keeps things open and let's people invest in it at their own leisure and if they do there's a chance they'll come out feeling attached to it. Oh and that part about not visiting Kingdom Hearts yet is crap. From what I read Kingdom Hearts is basically like the Triforce or One Piece of the series. Once you go in there the story is pretty much over, or something extremely bad or good will happen, depends on who goes in.

I played Re:Coded, I like the gameplay it is a big improvement over Days, but I don't like the story. Which is apparently a big factor since I haven't played it since I beat it. Haven't even bothered to get the secret ending yet, though I'll probably replay it soon since I'm planning to play through the 3 recent handheld games before 3D.
The suspense! Hope it is June or July, it'll make going dark about 3D a lot more easier. I find knowing as little as possible about a Kingdom Hearts game before playing it equals the most enjoyment out of it. Though I already know quite a few facts about 3D so I probably already ruined that "freshness." I'll probably just watch the opening and that's it.

Is it me or does Sora look extremely short in that pic even for his younger self? o.O Playable gameplay during credits!? Even if it's not that, this doesn't really change anything for me. I always watch the end credits something's always playing during them in Kingdom Hearts games, plus Utada Hikaru's voice is just that magical. As for the 10-year anniversary comment does that mean North America isn't being considered for that special DS bundle? Still keeping hope alive for an HD version (or remake) of KH1 and 2! Ah so I wasn't imagining things when I thought things were running faster in the gameplay videos, which is great since it might add some difficulty to the gameplay. I'm kinda confused on the importance of TWEWY characters here. Is Traverse Town going to be like a hub world you keep coming back to similar to Traverse Town in KH1 and Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden in KH2? So Nomura is labeling Sora and Riku light and dark after all. Looks like Sora is indeed falling to darkness in some way. Which also means Riku becomes light in some way. Maybe there's some plot twist to him? Like maybe he is just taking that form because Sora and Riku associate evil with Xehanort. He does have evil people popping up with him. Vanitas most likely because Ven's heart is within Sora, and Ansem SOD because Riku fought with him so many times in CoM. There's also that questionable transition to Riku when he says "Let's go together"
Hmm...sure I was bit upset about that at first, I mean it would've been proper to at least message me if Zekkai didn't send his lines in time but I forgive you. You were probably just trying to open up voice acting to some new members and those are not bad intentions at all (in fact if it weren't for that mind set I probably wouldn't have continued voice acting, like I said before you Mike kept me in this hobby). I mean Llave mentioned he was just getting into voice acting he doesn't really need this drama for his first roles if I were in his shoes I probably would be kinda afraid of doing anything else related to voice acting. Also Llave you didn't do anything wrong, in fact I think I may have been a bit biased in my critique of your Sora. You did well I can see why Mike was blown away by you especially since you're just getting into voice acting! I feel you have an interesting future as a voice actor if you continue with it. No hard feelings Mike and Llave! :D As for you taking a break Mike, sure everyone needs one, especially right now. I don't know about you Mike but for me I have exams and projects to work on at school (might also be why Zekkai didn't get the lines in in the first place). But don't get too comfortable, one thing I know about breaks is that if you stay in there too long you may never want to come back.
