I am surprised that a thread has not been made for this already. The media may be keeping relatively quiet about the affair in Turkey, but social networks such as twitter are teeming with updates.

Touching, but snope'd. It's a retelling of John W. Schlatter's A Simple Gesture, slightly edited; narrated in the first-person rather than the third, and the names swapped. Glurges like these are written to appeal to either our a) feelings of sentimentality or b) moral code. As a general rule of thumb, people are saps. Add to that the fact that your average Internet user does not bother to cite their sources, and well. These stories are quick to circulate the Internet.

Suggested tactic: Apply the spread to crepes.

    No regrets.

I have two shelves devoted purely to comics. My "collection" is quite meager when you consider the fact that there are nerds with boxes upon boxes of comics stored in their basement, all neatly filed and arranged in alphabetical order. I will say, however-- and rather proudly-- that I do have in my possession a few foreign comics as well. Diabolik, Zagor, Alan Ford. That's more than some geeks can attest to. Yes, Marvel and DC aren't the only active comic book publishing companies. Shocker.

As far as Yu-Gi-Oh cards are concerned... I own a holographic Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. What's that count for, I wonder?

I also collect dolls, albeit to a lesser extent. Matryoshka and the like.

You might say I was deprived as a child. I didn't watch much Disney. However, I do remember liking...

If you don't have the patience for philosophical discussions in space and would rather watch a more action-oriented flick, then I suppose so.
