Ghost froze. He was unable to believe what he had just heard. "You will not have any part of it?!" He said, obviously angry. His stoic demeanor was gone, replaced by anger. Although, not for the reason one would initially suspect. "What has happened to you? I can't begin to suspect your reasons, but i cannot believe anything would stop you from giving your dying breath to help this girl! Has the darkness changed you so much Caleb?!" Ghost yelled. He could not just sit silent while his friend abandoned who he was. "You once told me that what truly mattered, what was truly important, was using your strength to defend those who had none! To protect those who could not protect themselves! Yet when a man comes to you, pleading for help to save a girl who's life has barely begun, you turn your back on him?! I cannot believe that you would do this! The Caleb i knew would never have rested until she was safe! He would give anything to help someone in need. His honor, his pride, his very life! I recall the lines under his eyes from his tireless crusade to defend those around him! He strove to be a hero! Tell me, where had that man gone?!" The reason Satsujin had been able to let go of his grudge against R was because of Caleb's words. He had realized that R was doing what was truly right. The method may have been different, but he had done his best to live by those words. Yet here was the same man who spoke the words forsaking them! He couldn't simply accept this. Reaching up, he grabbed the front of his mask and pulled it back. Long violet hair was allowed to flow in the wind. His face was revealed. "Caleb...Tell me...Why? What has gone through your mind?"
Gather around, and I'll tell you a story unlike any you've ever heard before. A tale of gods, dragons, and demons. Long ago, in the times of fairy tales, there lived a Goddess. While she was divinity in title, she was in actuality but an ordinary girl placed into a terrible fate. When the Goddess before her died, the task of becoming The Goddess Seal was placed upon her. The fate of the very world itself hinged upon her life. Should she perish, the world would begin to wither and finally die entirely unless a new goddess was chosen with haste. There were, however, those who wished her demise. Olympus, one of the most powerful empires ever known to man, had its sights set on not only the goddess, but the three seals which held in place the world's destruction during the selection of a new goddess. The Forest, The Desert, and the Ocean. These three seals were efforts made to keep the world from it's apocalyptic natural state. Although, only the goddess herself can truly withhold catastrophe. Her life was threatened by the empire. While their armies were vast, and their technology great, The Olympian Thrones, the nine pact makers of the empire, were the true reason behind the Empire's power. A pact is the joining of souls. Two humans cannot enter one together, but should a human encounter a creature of another species, they can enter into a pact with them. The two become lifelong partners. and each gain incredible power from the strength of their partner. The strongest of pact makers have been said to decimate entire armies with seemingly no effort on their part. Although, while this power is great, nothing in this world comes without a price. In order to enter a pact, something irreplaceable must be given up. One's sight, their voice, their fertility. The Olympian Thrones were no exception. Although, even against the might of Olympus, The Goddess was not alone, damned to her fate against the might of the empire. The Union, an alliance of countries dedicated to the protection of her holiness had taken up arms, unafraid to stand against the armies and machines of those who would harm her. Even the Nine Thrones would not make them cower. This is where our tale begins. OOC Sheet Name: Age: Appearance: Faction: (The Union or The Elves. The Elves are a neutral faction, refusing to take place in the war.) Race: Pact Partner: (If applicable) Pact Price: (If applicable) Weapon: (If applicable) (THESE NEXT SIX ARE ENTIRELY OPTIONAL) Weapon Magic Sharpness Weight Reach Material Weapon Lore Biography: Theme: ~~Rules~~ This Rp is meant to be very dark. Think if you're okay with this before joining. The Olympian Thrones are to be controlled by me, unless specified otherwise. I already have thoughts for their characters, but if you would like to control one, then you could PM me and ask about them. It's not unlikely i'll let you control them. Outside of that, you cannot have a pact maker actively allied with the empire No godmodding No killing and/or maiming characters without theirs and my consent etc. you know the drill. If you question my authority i will make it rain giant demonic babies with lightning for wings from the sky and have them eat you. So don't do it. Have fun!
Huh. I'd think captain America would be a bit more defensive.
Beuce scowled when she handed him a stack of papers to go and file. He'd seen Bruce Almighty. She could just put these into a computer if she felt like it. God, what a bitch. He briefly considered going back to the rebellion and trying to kill her, but sighed. Stratos had already chosen the route and he didn't have a save file before such time. "Yeah yeah..." Beuce followed Stratos into the room. He wondered why he was staring at some random metal box with handles on it. Walking over to what was clearly the filing cabinet, he dropped the papers into a small plastic bin labeled "trash". "There. Whew, i'm beat. Let's have her magic us up some food. Oi! Magikarp! Can we get like...I dunno some chinese or something? We can't go and get it ourselves! Xero is going there." Beuce sighed. The least she could do to thank them for doing such an awesome job on filing things was conjure them up some food. Such bitch many ungrateful. Now, if anyone else had stood there yelling to random beings which couldn't be seen, they would've had their sanity questioned. However, this was Beuce. There was no question involved. Beuce sighed and turned to Stratos. "Oi. Wanna see a zombie?" He asked, giving no further explanation. He had a habit of dragging Stratos into all sorts of random crap, so clearly he wouldn't mind something like this. "Come one it doesn't even have infect. Probably..." A shiver went up Zavion's spine. Why did he just get the feeling that Lexcifur had just said the word sigh rather than actually sighing? Because that was just the right kind of ******y for Lexcifur. That's why. It seemed like something he'd do. Nevertheless, he looked around. They seemed to be in a town square of some sort. Nearby, there was an enormous church of some sort. The building completely dwarfed anything nearby. However, before he could continue to make note of his surroundings, a man who had come with them walked up. Before he said anything, Zavion could tell that he was frantic and desperate. He didn't need to look into his heart to see that. It was obvious from nothing but his face. He told them of a man who had taken a girl as a slave. He stood silent, seeing what the others would do. It wasn't long before the man with the mask spoke up. "If it is as you say, and this girl is being held hostage, then I will kill him myself." Ghost announced. He was an undercover agent at the moment, but his purpose was still to destroy corruption where the goddess could not. She was incapable of leaving Riel, so he was her hand in the worlds beyond. There were those that said the goddess did nothing to stop threats outside of Riel, but that was false. The reason no one knew of these were because they died at the hands of Ghost before they had the opportunity to rise into notoriety. There were others who had indeed been threats to the balance of peace, and were known as such. However, no one knew of Ghost's hand in that matter. Dane was the kind of person he was sworn to kill. "I can't let someone like that just walk around. I'll help you." Zavion could see into the man's heart, and he knew that he told the truth. However, something puzzled him. The other who had offered his service was hopeful. As though he were anticipating something to happen shortly. He couldn't tell exactly what it was, but he wondered what he could be waiting for in this situation. Bartholomew grinned at the death of the woodland creatures. There would be fear in the hearts of those that survived. This Samsara was interesting. Walking over to her, he looked into her eyes. As their vision met, his smile widened. He knew who she was, and he knew why she turned to darkness. "This will be interesting." He continued to look into her eyes. It wouldn't happen quite yet, but the longer he stared at her, the deeper his curse sank into her mind. She'd fall to it soon enough.

Ra looked up at the massive gate before them. Atop it was a man shouting down at them to show their guild marks to prove their status as wizards. This told him two things. One, that they had retained their sense of being from the curse, and two, they were trying to keep something out. This could be simple paranoia, or there could be something on the Island they felt they needed to defend against. He couldn't say for sure which one it was yet. Nevertheless, this was their destination and they needed entry. Reaching up, Ra grabbed the fabric portion of his outfit and pulled it down. On his collarbone rested a bright golden Sapphire Eclipse emblem. Having shown them what they wanted to see, Ra pulled up the fabric, covering his skin once more. "Now then, let us pass." ~~~Magus Ascension Guild Hall~~~ Orpheus lay against the wall, his skin burning, pain coursing through his body. His consciousness was fading rapidly. Was this the end? Hm. Maybe so. Just as soon as he had accepted his fate, the pain subsided. He could feel his skin being stitched back together through magic. Opening his eyes, he saw a hooded man standing above him, healing him. Though his face was hidden, Orpheus knew the man well. It was Alastor. His guild mate. The man told him that he would not die here. That he would have the opportunity to create as many corpses as he so desired. Rising to his feet, Orpheus smiled. "So we are to destroy them, are we? We'll need to regain our strength first...Thea still lives, though i believe her to be captured. Yana perished a fair while ago." Orpheus didn't seem displeased by the fact that one of the most elite mages in their guild was dead. In fact, it seemed to delight him. They hadn't lost her power at all. He'd gained it under his command. "Come, Alastor. We have an ally to regain." Beucette used blitz on mouse army member 2
Taking to the skies on his demonic looking wings, Beuce had been out of the direct fight for most of the battle, unable to be reached in the air above. Outside of casting thunder on Glen, Beuce hadn't really done much but just kinda sit up in the air, watching the fight take place. Why he hadn't done anything, well, that could be for some deep strategic reason. Maybe he was waiting for the right moment to take out a huge mass of heartless all at once. After all, a bird's eye view was the best advantage, and if there was one person among the party who could probably pull off a strategy like that, it was Beuce. Now, while this was a possibility, it was in fact not the case. He looked down onto the battlefield, trying to figure out which hippos were heartless, and which were not. The difference in colors didn't make any difference to Beuce. The man was color blind. A bead of sweat ran down his forehead. Not to mention, he'd been drinking along with Glen, so he was a bit out of it. Speaking of Glen...He had the alcohol! You know what solved color blindness? More alcohol! Pointing his finger at his comrade, Glen was instantly frozen in place, unable to move. Flying down to him, Beuce snatched the bottle out of his hand. Lifting up his mask, he revealed that his skin was an extremely pale purple and he had a tattoo over his right eye, leading off underneath his hair. Gulping down a good amount of the bottle's contents, he put it back into its owner's hand and gave him a pat on the back. "Whew, thanks for that. Walk in Azphel's shadow, Glen." Beuce, having had his fill of drink for the moment, unfroze Glen and took to the skies once more. "Aether's Hold!" Swiping his hand, a wave of crocodiles were hoisted into the air with a Graviga spell. God, he loved high level magic. It was so overpowered. As the heartless crocodiles levitated in the air, utterly helpless, he prepared another barrage of spells for them. Bolts of lightning arcing from his hand, Beuce fired three shots of energy at each one. The blast of power did visible damage, leaving burn marks on their bodies. Raising his hand, a purple and black ball of energy formed into Beuce's hand. This would be the blow to finish them. Thrusting his hand down, a wave of gravity crushed down onto them. Under the massive weight, they crumbled away into clouds of darkness. Now, as cool as that little combination was, it drained the absolute hell out of his MP. If he was going to do much more in this fight, he would need to regain it. A small blue light appeared beside him. Grabbing it, he spun in a circle and hurled it at the nearest heartless. During flight, it transformed into an ethereal blade. Stabbing into a nearby tornado step, it accomplished two things. The first being killing the heartless outright. The second being that after the sword connected, it burst into blue particles and traveled back into its caster. It amazed him how similar techniques were on his world to those outside of it. Most things he could do, he knew on his homeworld by a different name. Raising his hand, a glowing rune appeared above his head momentarily. Magnify. On his world, he knew it as Zikel's wisdom. Although, it seemed rather than slightly increasing the power of all his attacks for a short time, he'd managed to compress it all into a single strike. If he'd learned how to do that on Atreia, it would've been incredibly handy. Nevertheless, he launched a Firaga, instantly decimating one of the nearby hippos. His teammates had done their jobs well. There weren't many heartless left at this point, and those that were Beuce took out with little difficulty. As a blizzara shot struck into a tornado step, all the heartless had been cleared out. He would've clapped his hands together but...yeah.
Jesse Guarded
Beucette, hearing the suspicious noise, decided to get the fuck downstairs.

In the throne room of Sapphire on Riel fanfare could be heard from outside in the street. Trumpets blared, drums pounded, it sounded as though an enormous parade was being held outside. A chorus of men sang out as the commotion grew closer to the room. Eventually the it became apparent what they were saying. "Make way for Beuce Ali!" Through the doors burst a horde of servants, headed by a certain wind mage juggling fire and singing to help his friend make an entrance. Honestly, Beuce never understood how he was able to talk Stratos into shit like this, but it earned the guy a ton of awesome points in the Big Book of Beuce. Riding on a large elephant in the center of the servants, Beuce looked very important. "Hey clear the way in the ol' bazaar Hey you! Let us through- it's a bright new star Oh come be the first on your block to meet his eye! Make way! Here he comes! Ring bells! Bang the drums! Ah! You're gonna love this g-" A record scratch was heard, and all the music stopped as they reached Xero, who looked thoroughly depressed. Well. That was kind of a mood killer. Dismounting the elephant, Beuce shooed away the dancing girls and trumpeters. "Go on! Get out of here we're not doing the musical number!" After the room had cleared of parades, and all that remained of it was Beuce and Stratos, he turned to face Sapphire. "Heeeey~! Sapphire, What up girl? I haven't seen you since my concert! Now, i now that was pretty sweet and i gave you the tickets and you're thinking 'Oh no, he's come to cash in the favor! How can ever repay such a glorious and wonderful gift? Oh no! I'll be in debt forever!' Well, lucky you that's not why i'm here! In fact, quite the reverse! See, that whole resistance thing is kinda not at all sensible. Like, Half of them want to find the hero to kill him, about a quarter of them want to find the hero to stop you for some reason they don't even actually know, like a fifth of them seem kinda neutral about the whole situation, and then there's Lucien. Pretty sure he's just in it for shits and giggles." Beuce walked closer to the throne and casually leaned on Sapphire's shoulder. "So ya see Morgan, that is why yours truly came to offer my assistance. Yeah, that's right. I'm defecting. Double agent. Side swapping. I'd say i was betraying my fellow fourth wall breakers but we all hate each other anyways. They can't even see that i am best character. I mean, it's so obvious, right? Xero, i'm right, right? See? Depressed giving up on life face means Beuce is best character, as always. So anyways, we're here to help. Give us an ass and we'll kick it. Preferably an enemy one, unless you're into that sort of thing. I dunno. Maybe R had some kinky fetishes no one knew about." A slight tremor shook beneath his feet. "No need to get so defensive. Why? Is it true? Hah! I knew 50 shades of darkness wasn't Ananta's." As Zavion listened to the options of worlds they could travel to, one of them stood out to him. The land of the deformed, as it had been described. "I'm going to Cite des Cloches" Zavion announced, while trying to ignore the conversation between his two companions. If they actually ended up together, that could get awkward fast. Although, he should probably be used to it by this point. Ghost listened for Zavion's announcement as to the world he was going to. Whichever it was, he would follow. He had promised the goddess that he would watch over him and his sister. He intended to keep it. He would do this without fail in return for her to watch over Phantom for him. "As will I." However, although he didn't show it, he was somewhat shocked to see the other person going to the world with them. Though the years had changed him in appearance, he still recognized the man. Among those who had fought against the agents in their fight for survival, Caleb had been the only one who he had called friend. If he was part of the resistance...There was a chance he may have to fight him at some point. He stood silent, awaiting their departure. The horrific man known as Bartholomew stood, listening to the conversations that arose. One peaked his interest rather highly. The girl named Anadi had undergone a complete transformation by the darkness. How...Interesting. He wondered what he could do with someone who's personality changed so easily. What he could do to them. No rapist. Well...maybe a little bit. "I'll be heading for the great forest." One way or another, this would prove to be an entertaining world.
Quinn tried to make casual conversation several times throughout the meal, but she was just so formal. It was kind of hard to really talk to someone who treated you like you were standing on a pedestal at all times. Then again, she was born and raised as a servant. She was always taught that was how she should act. Ordinarily, that would be okay too. However, he never had the attitude expected of a prince. He'd always been told he was far too casual about it, that he should be more serious about his position. However, it was no secret that he didn't want the position in the first place. After they had both finished eating their food, Quinn stood and stretched his arms. "I gotta get out of this castle. I'm getting kinda stir crazy. Unless you've got some other critically important duties, why don't you accompany me? I'd imagine it gets tiring just working around the castle all day." Beginning to leave, Quinn grabbed his spear. One never knew when they would need their weapon. With that, he headed out into the town of Corvus. Balthar gave a small smile as the little girl known as Thea merrily came skipping back into the room. Seeming she wanted to show him something, she snatched the picture she had drawn earlier out of his hands and held up a white flame to it. At first, the page didn't so much as darken, let alone burn. However, just before he could applaud her on her progress, she lost focus. The flames turned red, and the page turned black. As the drawing turned to smoldering ashes, tears began to stream down the girl's face. Not quite knowing what to do, Balthar knelt down to put a hand on her shoulder. He'd never actually had any children of his own, nor had much experience with them aside from Thea. "Thea, don't fret over the drawing. It can be replaced. Just be glad your flames cannot harm you. While you can simply draw another picture, there will only ever be one Thea Strive. I'm only glad that you are unharmed." He said reassuringly. Much to the bard's delight, things had gone exactly as he had planned them to. Osric had taken notice of his musical capabilities and called him forward, banishing everyone else from the room momentarily. Taliesin bowed to the young lord, as to show respect. "Ah, my lord, you ask of what i seek? You are a many of many connections. All roads lead to Mooredoor, as they say. So, would it not be natural to choose the place where the most roads intertwine? I come only to offer my services to you. I believe you will find my talents useful, both in the realm of music, and other agendas you might have." Taliesin was a good judge of character. While it was impossible to tell the specifics of what Osric schemed, there was surely some less than legal ideas running through his mind. "Taliesin is the name i was given. It means "Shining". I'm afraid i have no surname to speak of, my lord. The one will have to suffice."
Ra had started to listen to all of the responses that his teammates had to offer about their plan of action. They all more or less seemed to agree on the same general concept of their plan, However, this could only be followed up with a sigh as he looked to both of the two. Gaius asking who was better or worse in this situation was essentially a moot point. They were equally terrible and they needed to come to at least some sort of understanding or else the tension between the both of them would only manage to harm the mission in general. Truth be told, Ra had felt that the two of them were exactly the same, the only difference between the two was in how they stroked their ego. Dale's response was a less than favorable one as well, but there was not much that could be done about it at this point. When Calxiyn had fallen off the boat after they landed, this team only seemed to be falling apart faster than *insert witty metaphor here*. After her leg was healed he extended out his hand to the girl and said, "do you need help getting up?"It was then that he turned towards Ander and said, "we have no idea what that light is actually indicative of, and recklessly charging into their would not be the wisest course of action. We should stick to the original plan and look for the civilization Bobo had come from. Any objections?" Strangely enough, Charlotte had done exactly the same thing. Hm. Must be some sort of mental connection between teammates.
God, they were tearing this guy's **** in. Jesse used Strong attack!
Ra nodded in agreeament with Charlotte. It would be a good plan to investigate the native people living on the Island. "We should go prepared, in case the curse has spread to more than their bodies. Their minds may have been turned demonic as well. In addition...We may want to look into some form of countermeasure to prevent ourselves being taken by the curse. While it's apparent the effects aren't instant based on the captain, we do not know how much time we'll have. Best case scenario, we are able to break the curse before we begin to be affected, and return the inhabitants to normal." He didn't have much to say in regards to the argument between Gaius and Dale. Ezekiel was something of a sensitive subject for him. He wondered if he would ever be released from that prison. If not...then perhaps it was for the best. if he emerged at all, then he would be a changed man. One he could be proud to call his brother. Ra looked over the railing of the ship, awaiting arrival on the Island. "Together, we will overcome this trial. S-class or no, this mission will prove to be no match for us." ~~~The Outlands~~~ Walking along the endless expanse of desert, the man had a hooded mantle to shield him from the harsh sun and sandy winds. He raised an arm, marked with glyphs to his forehead to block the light from his eyes as he looked up into the sky. There wasn't a cloud in sight, just the sun beating down upon him. In his hands, he conjured a small pool of water and sipped it up. He was by no means an expert in the field of water magic, but he knew the very most basic spells. Enough to keep him hydrated in this desert. Between the need to keep himself sustained, and the battles he fought, his magic wouldn't last forever. He had a large pool of it, but of course it wasn't endless. Not to mention physical exhaustion had begun to take its grip. In front of him, an image of salvation appeared. An oasis, in the midst of the desert. As he approached, he grew suspicious of it. This place was torment. There was no way something like this would be here. Sure enough, as he bent over to scoop up some of the water, a tentacle latched onto his wrist. The image of the oasis melted away, revealing a pit which descended deep into the earth. He wouldn't be surprised if it had lead to hell itself. If he hadn't been cautious in his approach, the tentacle would've pulled him in. However, it was soon turned to ashes by a blast of arcane energy. "The prison made by the first master to force repent onto the wicked. One can't help but wonder how pure of heart they were themselves to have devised a place like this. Nevertheless, i can see it achieving its purpose." Ezekiel stood and continued to walk. This desert was endless. He knew it wasn't figurative. This was a separate dimension, closed off from the outside world. No matter how far one walked, they would never reach the end of this place. Taking another look into the sky, he felt the sun beating down onto him. It seemed to grow hotter with each moment, and night never came to this place. He had to have been in there for days, at least. "So, that which finally defeats me will be the sun. This dungeon has a sense of irony, it seems."
Spoiler: LvD2 Abridged Ghost had the most peculiar thing imaginable happen to him. His sword flew out of its sheath and began dancing. Now normally one would find it strange that a sword was dancing, but Sapphire this thing was a good dancer. It was a tool for murder, and it was ripping up the dance floor. Beuce scratched the back of his head. Yeah, mission accomplished. Well, this time at least. "Knowing that guy, he probably walked right off and got himself into more trouble, but we can't babysit him the whole time obviously. Hmm...Well, we could defect and work for Sapphire. I mean, she's not really evil. Not even really doing that bad of a job even. I mean sure there's still evil in the worlds, but hell, hasn't there always been? There's been a ton of people that probably never got the chance to do any serious damage because of her. Light and dark aren't even really fighting. No one cares about your alignment so much anymore." Beuce said, describing option one to Stratos. "Or we could totally just head back to Disney Castle and wing it. I could probably talk our way back in. Then we can go and take down that goddess who is a total bitch for some undiscernible reason. I'm up for whatever. So, where we headed?" Event choice >Let's go to Riel to help the goddess Let's go to Disney Castle to help the Rebellion Let's go gamble Confess to Beuce Stratos' destiny was in his hands.
